  1. Well, I'm raising herblore now and making the untradable potions, as per Nifflin's advice (Thank you, Nifflin!). But I'm at an impasse with the Spec Restores. I dont do boss hunts since I have unstable Internet connection. My main moneymaker is frosties (~1-2m/hr depending on amount of botters there), which I can do with relative safety even with occasional disconnects/lags.

    My question:

    1) Are they viable to use at frosties?

    2) Are there occasions where I'd still be using spec restores?

    3) I do intend to get back to slayer. At least 93 slay or higher, to max melee and get yak. Would there be tasks that I use spec restores?

    4) If not 2k, what would be a more appropriate amount for me based on the above situations?

    Thanks for the advices!

The very best way to get high herblore is to just make your most efficient pots (use the Grimy sheets to determine this) until you can make spec rests and super antifires. Then make around 1k super antifires for slayer and 2k or so spec rests, then I would make 1k of each extreme with 2k of extreme attack and strength. This should put you around where you need to be to stew to overloads (91+ herblore), then you just make overloads as you need them.

This will give you good supplies for slayer (extreme strength and attack) as well as for boss hunting (overloads) while wasting money as little as possible. Cleaning herbs is almost never worth it, mixing your own potions can be if you have the herblore scroll. Really make sure you get that as it should save you millions and millions on the road to 99 berlore.

Use boosts in order to start making the untradeable potions asap.

Making every super potion will use a lot more money then making your most efficient potion, selling them, then buying ingredients for extremes.

Also make sure to get the herblore scroll from dungoneering, it will save you millions on the road to 99.

TL;DR Making supplies for untradeable potions will waste a lot of money. Make your most efficient potion then buy supplies for extremes.

  2. Thanks a lot for the great guide!

I dont have the pray/herb/summon levels, but your tips really helped. I'm restricted to piety, tort and supers for now. Even being full of bots, I'd still make 1-2mil/hr there. I got a visage 2 hours after getting 85 dung, ~100th frostie kill, and frost bones seems to be going back up!

  3. Ive noticed the faster degradation in multicombat too when I was cannoning mutated bloodvelds..

OT: Just use rapier even in multicombat. The extra cost should be negligible if you can make 2mil+/hr at frosts anyway, which you should get (85 dg) since you're already 81..

  4. I do have a crapier. DGing to 82 got me 4 str lvls. By 85 DG, I'd prolly be 95-96. The last few would be from slayer + crapier.

And reason I want to sell is that I'd rather not hold on to equipment that I wont use and dropping in price. I dont mind if it drops but I use it frequent-ish. If I ever need it, I could always buy it back later at a cheaper price.

Edit: Forgot that when I camp frosts later on, I'd be meleeing them and getting str levels. Albeit very slowly...

  5. Anyone that wasnt able to get last night, could check again at Iffie? I'm at work so cant play right now.

When I first tried, I could not get the classic cape.

I logged off and submitted a bug report.

When I tried again about 4 hours later, I could claim my classic cape *yay*

I just got mine too.. :)

  6. For the ones that couldnt get the classic cape last night (including me), I just read something on the RSOF.

I've just released a fix that should address this, if your account was created before the RS2 release.

Mod Easty - o0 so does this mean only real classic players can get the cape now?

and if so those who did not play and already claimed one do those people lose theres now?

    if yes thank you

No, I've only enabled players who couldn't claim the cape before a chance to claim it if their account is older than RS2.

There is no plans to remove access to this cape from players who can already claim it.

  7. Well, I'll be going back for 85 DG soon. Just wanna get 85 slay and 70 rc first (CSB bound but cant use). I'd only have ~70k tokens if I stop at 85, so a chaotic maul isnt really in my short term plan. And after 85 DG, I'd be camping frosts to get up my herb, pray and summ, so no corping or WF for a long time I guess.

Thanks for advise. Guess I'll let go of both, along with guthans.

  8. Well, I've already finished killing the dragons. Whipped em all into submission. Seems whip is better than leaf sword tho.

LatinII: OMG!! What kind of hax equipment/spell/boost were u wearing/using?!?

Quyneax: I was thinking of saving my tokens to get crapier first before splurging anymore of it. Already used 30k for the scrolls and now left ~50k. I'd probably get ASN right after that if there's nothing more important after crapier. I totally forgot about vecna, so guess I'll include that.

  9. I'm taking a breather from DG. Just got 93 iron dragons from Kuradal. So, since I can do them in the dungeon, I thought of maging them after work tonight. Wanted to try out offensive maging with all this new stuff coming out since I came back. Appreciate advice on my setup and other stuff.

Equipment: hexcrest, fury, ardy cape 3, ahrim top & bottom, barrow glove, infinity boots, fero ring, DFS & mystic lava staff.

    Spell: Fire wave

    Some noobie questions:

    1) Is it worth for me to get Staff of Light and arcane stream necklace? Does the damage increases stack with hexcrest?

    2) Is there a magic max hit calculator? I only found for melee and ranged.

    2) Also, should I use fire surge or claw of guthix, instead of just fire wave? As I recall, higher lvl magic splashed more often than lower lvl spells. Or maybe I remembered wrongly.

    3) Does fero ring dmg increase effect spell dmg as well?

    4) Should I just scrap the idea and melee them with a whip? I dont have any great 1h stab weapons yet (no korasi either).

    Thanks for advices.

  10. Following the new tactics and going quite well so far. Completing floors A LOT faster. I guess the armor and fishing part was the biggest slowdown before this. Thanks again Sonikku, Quyneax and xSxqPowerx!

  11. Thanks so much. Never thought of picking up herbs..haha.. :wall:

    Adjusted tactics:

    - in starting room take all items, except food below webspinners

    - sell all except food, ess and melee armor (kata or above)

    - buy toolkit, and topup ess to ~50

    - rc half cosmic, half astral

    - pickup food, herb, coins and melee armor, leave the rest

    - open and clear all guardian doors

    - fight boss

  12. I'm doing solo runs now since I'm only 45 DG. I tried w117 but I see most people only do floor 30+. So..I do solo c6, floors 1 to max before reset. I have prom 2h bound (ty dung smith!) and laws for ammo bind.

    Actions during dungeon:

    - in starting room take all items, except heim crab

    - sell all except food, ess and melee armor

    - buy toolkit, and topup ess to ~100

    - rc half cosmic, half astral

    - pickup food, coins, melee armor and argo ore, leave the rest

    - fish salve/crab if find any and cook

    - mine/buy argonite ore, smelt and smith argonite armor (plate, etc)

    - open and clear all guardian doors

    - fight boss

Am I doing this right for soloing? Any tips appreciated.
