  1. [brutal Honesty]

Lens flare is horribly distracting from focal point.

Quality seems to be really bad... unless it is some sort of equally horrendous filter you layed over the sig.

Font doest not work at all, its not blended and it just doesn't fit.

    Background is rather boring.

I see an attempt at a border, but it is not defined enough.

  2. That's true. I think also that Galleries some how scare people away from posting... doesn't really make since, but I bet if I had made a separate post with these photos, I would have more replies. Just a theory though.

    On topic:

My teacher wants me to do some portraits of her daughter next weekend so we'll see how that goes. Also hope to do some more shooting before that, so expect more soon.

  3. These shots are definitely... interesting :P

They are more modern art than what I'm used to, but that's not really a bad thing. The colorful lighting is what makes the photos so interesting, without them there isn't much, so nice job in adding that.

The first one is better IMO, there is just more to it, the light dots give the photo subject, while in the second one there is more of just a glow.

Overall, very interesting and nicely made :)

  4. Thanks for the comment woop :)

My favorite one is probably also the second one. Only problem is the orange fringing around the trees about where the sun is. :(

Ya the things floating in the third one are buoys*

The image quality is definitely thanks to the new camera... I've gone from 5 to 10 mps

 (Sad face for low response)

  5. The new shots are pretty nice, but I might suggest going again on a brighter day. There seems to be noise from what seems to be high ISO, and possible blur from slow shutter speeds. A brighter day could possibly solve both of these problems. Over all nice shooting though, by favorite being the one of the white bird with its feet just leaving the water.

  6. Just a little information on the D40 or D40x: these cameras don't have an AF motor so you need to get lenses with an AF motor built in. For Sigma, that means HSM, I'm not sure about what Nikon lenses have to denote an AF motor though, sorry. Look into this before splashing out on a lens that might not be able to focus automatically.

Whew good thing you pointed that out, was actually about to buy a lens.

To anybody else that needs to know, Nikon denotes a silent motor wave by placing an S after AF. So when browsing for a lens, look for AF-S.

  7. Christmas news:

Got a new Nikon D40x for Christmas :), now I can finally start shooting quality digitals instead of horrific 5MP . So far I only have the stock 18-55mm lens and a 55-200mm lens, hoping on a macro in the near future. Anyways, just wanted to post about my camera and to say that I should be posting some new shots sometimes soon (got most of my college apps in so I have more time on my hands.)

  8. Hey everyone, sorry for not posting in a while. I have absolutely no time what so ever right now to work on the shop. Between school, college apps, and my life I just have no time. Sorry for the inconvenience but I will have to close the shop down at least until I get all of my college apps in.

    Thanks,

    Navy.
