  1. Not reading 7 pages- I read the first page and skimmed the last.

Jagex cited the law on unauthorized access, not on stolen property. Jagex only used the law against the hijackers for accessing the account unauthorized. They did not use the law because anything was stolen. So saying that they can't use the law here and not there isn't applicable here. They used X instance of the law, where X instance of the law only applies to the X incident. But you think they used Y instance of the law because of a Y incident, which definitely isn't the case.

So no, they don't need to give anyone anything back. They can't reliably monitor all items at all times and all players to see what goes where and how it got there, so they just say no to everyone.

  2. I can also confirm everyone except me is a botter.

Proof: A cb 138 was botting fm, I asked him several times if he borrows me his Gs but he didnt answer.i even followed him for few minutes and kept asking. Obviously Botting.

I also was training hunting the other day, i asked an hunter there: "Whats the meaning of life? Where do we come from? What are we?" he couldnt answer a single question. Another case of botting.

Bored of hunting, i wanted to train some mining at the quarry mining granite and stuff.. Trying to get a little conversation with this guy there, so I asked "hey the desert ist hot today huh?" he kept mining without a single reaction. WTF? i kept asking "hey do you like ice cream?" -no reaction at all. Another Botter.

I reported them all ofcourse, cause i want to be a a mod.

    That's gold, right there..

I would also like to add that everyone bots but me. I was training fletching at the bank and saw a bunch of bots stuck at the banking phase.. they just stood there for minutes on end! Obvious bots, man.

  3. Looks like the hiscores have been there all along at Jagex HQ, 'cause the number one Castle Wars player has over 6k games played. That means that only ONE player can purchase the professional cape.

    I think that's pretty cool.

EDIT: Nevermind, the hiscores seem to update every few seconds and there's already a few players with 4k games showing up.

Try over 14k now.. that's crazy!

  4. You are able to take up to 100 pieces of ballista ammo into a match to load the ballista with

Before you can use a ballista in a Castle Wars match, you must purchase all four ballista parts and at least one bit of ammo for it. You can take up to 30 bits of ammo with you into a match.

Make up your mind, Jagex.. lol.

I liked the old armour sets better.. they really stood out in the crowd. These just kind of.. blend in.

  5. Oh wow- you guys are arguing the dumbest point. The people going to Runefest will be those players that want to go to have insider information, for the most part. I reckon that a small percentage of the people will be going just to get their item code.. and that would be the people that are arguing "oh it's not fair!" Runefest = insider information, with an in-game item to show that you attended. Runefest != a rare, one-chance "I'm richer IRL than you" item. IT'S A GIFT, from Jagex to you to say "thanks for attending, we appreciate it". If you're going to get pissy over an item that hasn't even been announced, maybe you need to check your priorities.

So, what was the "leaked update schedule" that was mentioned in this thread earlier?

  6. Have any of the posters above actually even read his posts?

 He edited the first post to say he did not want to do combat- did you read the post directly above yours?! Geez.

Is double nats still a viable method here? I haven't played in a while so I'm not sure.

(And just so you don't come back at me with his comment about monster hunting and Slayer: monster hunting != camping, and I wasn't saying "train Slayer to make money", I was saying to camp Spiritual Mages)

  7. Prohibiting something that you cannot accurately define and describe is a recipe for disaster (and I don't mean the quest).

This is one thing I can agree with you on. There's so much of a gray zone here that many non-manipulators will be unfairly punished, and many manipulators will go unpunished. It's a respectable idea, and it will even out the economy to be more stable- but it will be nigh impossible to implement it to be 100% accurate at only punishing manipulators.

  8. Get your Slayer up to 83 (?) and kill Spiritual Mages. They drop Dragon Boots fairly often, which make good money. Shouldn't be crowded, either. And since you enjoy Slayer, it won't be a grind getting to 83.

I'm not sure of the gp/hr there, but I'd say it's pretty decent and fairly low-competition.

  9. Once they start releasing more content and fixing this and that and yadda yadda.. it will have more of an impact on RS. As it stands now, it's not a viable training method for any other skills- the experience you receive in other skills is more of a bonus than anything. Being said, I think that any price drops that are occurring now are just panics/freak outs and will subside soon. People will still need regular supplies, because Dungeoneering is not a money making skill.

  10. Anyone care to explain how and why eggs got to be so much? Weren't they like.. 10m last year or the year before? It seems kind of stupid to judge the price of party hats and even go as far as to trade them based on an item that- on the whim of merchanters- can have 1/10th of the street price that it had 24 hours ago.

  11. I barely thought one could call it a skill at all, with the fact that dungeoneering is absolutely useless outside its own little area, which is totally unlike how any other skill works.

    Absolutely true..

But now.... I think it is the best skill in the game.

It may be the best minigame in RS. It's not a skill.

You seem to miss an important fact. The definition for a runescape skill is - what Jagex says =/ You may not like it but their opinion on what is a skills > your opinion.

Don't question qeltar. He is the provider- nay, the soul source of information that Jagex must rely on to make content, but doesn't. Although they don't listen to him and his infinite wisdom, they have miraculously given him an unabridged dictionary of terms, definitions, and implied contracts between Jagex and the players. And now, this awe inspiring man is here to spread the knowledge to the unknowing and brainless zombie drones who are currently feeding off of Jagex fanboyism.

Basically, it doesn't fit some people's definition of what a skill is- so some people are going to argue with us relentlessly (read: futilely).

  12. Do you think that the Dungeoneering Cape (true mastery, level 120) will lessen the achievements of some of the more impressive skill capes such as Slayer and the likes? I'm thinking that some of those with the level 120 cape will look down on others who are proud of their Slayer Cape and think, "Meh, mine took 10x the experience that they have invested in that cape.." leading them to think "Stop bragging about your cape!"

Or those who don't have the cape will look to those who have Slayer Capes and say "that's not as impressive as Dungeoneering..."

  13. People keep saying the "skill" goes faster as you level up, and it keeps going slower. 3k per hour or so at level 35 is kinda ridiculous, folks.

The "skill" is a nice piece of content being wasted due to inept implementation by developers who clearly have no idea how players actually play and what they want.

Imagine how good this could have been if Jagex would stop thinking they don't need input from players and would do what every other software company does: create a beta program.

I thought you were done with this thread?...

I think they do have some idea as to what their players want, but they could get some more opinions.

  14. With 20k exp per death runes, and people already doing mass RC'ing when they're done with a dungeon, this is going to affect A LOT of people before those people realize that something is up. I think a rollback will be in order because the events happen in isolation, so there's less chance for a mass riot at the scene.
