I'd sell all my stuff and go out with my first ever rare. :) Would have to be a Halloween mask most likely, as my stuff isn't too valuable.

Do you know what causes it? I run a PHPBB3 board and don't want to run into this error.
-
This seems to be a problem throughout the board... Getting a ":[blocked due to abuse]" when you post something. For me, it was in a quote. For others, it was for a picture. I don't get it? Is there some error on the board? It's kind of annoying.
It's occurred every few days going on for a while as is evident by this search for the term. This is the first time I've gotten it.

Wearable, but not obtainable. He said that F2P would never be able to buy them. You'd still have to buy them in P2P, but you can wear them in F2P. So it would benefit both P2P and ex-members.
I still don't see how saying "no" outright to "will F2P get skillcapes?" means there is a possibility in any shape or form. You can still have them as an ex-member, just you can never die with them or take them off. There are no significantly stat-boosting capes inherent to F2P, so wearing a cape that has 0s across the board doesn't hurt.
There is always the possibility that Jagex reneges on their statement at some point down the road. I hope not though, as skillcapes are a benefit and reason for a high level F2Per to get members (marketing ploy, basically).

That color purple is usually used to indicate transparency.

Touchè, friend. You make a good point.
-
No pic, no proof.
0/10.
 I really hope you're kidding.
Congratulations to the OP on getting that. Quite a bit of cash spent on cannonballs, I'd assume. Do you have an estimate? And when did you start slaying?
-
I'll assume you had 52 credits already on there. Either that or it's another subtle hint (5+2 = 7 = the number of letters in a particular word).
Any word from Jagex about how the "lifetime" works, other than that 4000 credits? Like, what happens when you run out of those 4000 credits? Do they give you more? Hm.. an average life expectancy of only 10 more years is cutting it a bit short, eh Jagex? :)

MAXED TOTAL LEVEL CAPE.
/thread
Eh, care for any supporting evidence for your argument? That usually helps when you're trying to /thread.
-
Maybe it'll just say ?.
-
No amount of makeover mage magic will help you, smelly.
Bakkabakkabakkabah.

As for the cape, I think it's the Epic Speculation skill cape. Haha. Or a Jagex only skill cape for the "tease the fanbase" skill.
-
Just a question, Danq.. but I've always wondered how to pronounce your name. I usually think "daynk-asian-imp" when I see it.. but I know that's not right.
-
I agree with you wholeheartedly. I was just mentioning that they will do as they please with the game and not abide by common logic.
-
Lifetime memberSHIP?? Sounds like they're hinting at something. Tricky Jagex- their recent Q&A was just a ploy to get people to stop guessing.
Lifetime membership is awesome. And more visits to Jagex from players? Awesome! Until they find out that some of the top players are under 18 and their mommies won't let them fly out to Cambridge. XD
-
It's their world and they'll do as the please. They also said to the guy asking about medieval fantasy MMO that it's not the run-of-the-mill Tolkien-esque-medieval, and people have that preconceived notion in their head.

Yea, Gigatiran is much better than manbearpig. What about Gigatyrant?!

Lil Duck 99 asks:
Will Free To play Players get skillcapes? (Simple Question, Yes or No)
Mod Mark: No.
That means wearable skill capes in F2P is still in the question.
Or Corrupt Skillcapes - They degrade after 30 minutes of skilling. :?
So much for Jagex's claim that F2P wasn't a demo.
Crimsoncow, how does "no" mean "maybe"?
Corrupt skill capes.. no thanks.
F2P is a glorified demo.

I wish Alpha would come back. He's moved on to WoW, sadly.

I'd like to have Moose, instead of M-0--0-S-E. It would be teh cools.

Grab your Dragon Longsword, full rune, and anti-dragon fire shield. If you have the cash, buy a pair of dragon boots (if not, rune will work). Metal boots will boost your strength. Get a glory amulet or strength amulet. An obsidian cape will work here (for extra defense) but you may not want to risk that much in the wilderness. Remember, there is no PKing anymore on normal worlds, but there are high level (and dangerous) creatures called Revenants that will attack you if you're within their level.
Before you head out, grab some Varrock teleport tablets from the Grand Exchange in case you run low on health or get attacked by a revenant and need an easy way out. There should be a guide around here.
Found it: viewtopic.php?f=180&t=731302
You'll want to take note of the "Eastern Dragons" section. (Note: click the "hide" button to expand that part of the guide).

Play it like you mean it. Don't play for e-fame, that's just stupid. If that's your thing, then go for it if it makes you happy.
Not to sound harsh but to me, you sound like a washed up nobody that used to be a somebody. You were cryogenically frozen at your prime, but your prime 8 years ago is just the beginning of the climb nowadays. You're overwhelmed with the new world, and you just wish everything was like it used to be. But at least you accept that it won't and are looking for new ways to regain your someone-ness- I give you props for that.
Slay green dragons in the wilderness for now. With bones and hides, you'll be racking up a few hundred thousand GP an hour. Those are unheard of amounts back in RSC, but 100k an hour is considered a low amount nowadays.

Treeman851 asks:
There are 3 possible skills coming out...
Music.
Animal Husbandry (Mounting, Riding, whatever you want to call it).
Necromancy.
Which one is it?
Mod Mark: Erm, what about the "Random Guessing" skill? I bet youd be great at that. :)
BURNED
Ha I was going to quote this one. Mod Mark really did lepwnzor this dude.
And I'm loving the new transparency Jagex is going with. Straightforward, honest answers (at least from Mod Mark and Fetzki).
-
Somebody must have gotten my sarcasm because my post hasn't been (mis)quoted yet.
So I hear it's possible to do 55s with the hand cannon. Now, is it fast enough to be feasible for PKing? And are high hits consistent?

People will still beg for emotes and run away from you in PvP whether capes are F2P or member's only.
Basically you want skill capes for F2P to be equivalent to gloves from Canifis. You can't get them from the source (trade with NPC) but you can wear (and trade/unequip) them in F2P.
However, it's different for the gloves because you don't have to ever be a member to get them. For skill capes, you have to become a member (ie, pay $5) to get the cape, in your scenario and with how the game is now. And I'm pretty sure Jagex has already stated that they will not be releasing a "shop" or "buyable goods/experience/levels" to the game.
