You don't need to do that quest to unlock the chaos tunnels :o

I've been using this guide since i read it for the first time, wearing and taking the same items, and so far i've not needed guthans. About the blocked tasks, i disagree on blocking the black dragons, you can kill baby black dragons @ the chaos tunnel and some greens dragon so you still get some money. And i don't recommend finishing the barbarian training just for the mithril dragons, besides the slow xp and the really low chance on getting a visage/dfh you will start getting watefiends assigned, lossingthe chance to block another task if you block them, as i'd do ;)
