Hey everyone, I recently purchased some digital mixing software, just cos i enjoying messing around with music and mixing my own music. Anyways, the sound card I have at the moment is pretty horrible, just wondering if anyone had any good suggestions as to what type/features i should be looking for as I have never really purchased this sort of thing before. Keep in mind im not willing to spend a fortune, so nothing too professional is required, just something that will let me get the best use out of my software and come up with a reasonable result... If none of that makes sense then let me know Thanks. :D

Just started with photoshop this week cos i had to do an assignment with it, kinda fun actually :D heres my first 2 sigaroos, bit too big to post on these forums, does anyone know how i can cut down a gif file size without losing too much quality? :huh: anyways :D or :( :?:

2 images now, does the second one look better or should i stick with the first one and mess around with it some more?

You cant really save a flash file as anyhting else. If you are worried about it then dont watch it. I think its just the admins being over cautios. The file name never used to be completely censored :-/ It should merely be a warning rather than actually blocking the file Oh, i didnt read flash, i just read animation, and was thinking gif, its late here :lol:

Make it 'party hat changes' better grammar than 'party hats changes' will make it more believable :lol:

Hmm, interesting, however this isnt actually going to be produced to go on tv cos it is just a design not a prototype :D that is very useful info though. I have dimensions 800x600 and i think i can use as much of that as i want, but i will definately check now! Also, here is my next update... I need to work out how to make the pictures on the left blend into the filter of the background more...if anyone could explain how to do that it would be great, keep the ideas coming as well!! :D Cheers guys.

yeh, i really wanted to do that, but i cant cos its not allowed to have anomation for the first part :cry: i think i have an idea though, il post in like 30 mins or something. ps. i will also fix the spelling of confinential...lol :oops:

i cant believe you guys havent seen la confidential, its an awesome move, russel crowe, kim bassenger - mmmmm I do have a few images i might be able to use nadril, what would be the best way to blend it into the bg though, just change it to grayscale and lower opacity, or is there a better way?

yeh, i am going to put something in there, im just not sure how im going to blend it or what effect to use to make it fit in with the style and layout.

Yeh, i'm 'reasonably' happy with the text, layout and image at the bottom, its just the background i'm worried about, and what what im going to fill that giant space with without making the layout look cluttered, i will keep experimenting though, thankyou :D

Hey everyone! I have a project atm where i have to make a dvd interface (no amination just yet) so i just have to hand in a jpg and psd file of what my interface will look like. I'm doing LA Confidential (mad movie :D ) Anyways, this is what i have so far, i know its terrible, but i am an absolute photoshop noob so i need all the help i can muster! Let me know if you have any good ideas that you think would work with this design, also, it has to be to a theme, so i cant have like highly technical futuristic stuff cos it just wont work ;) Thanks in advance if you can help in any way!! -Joe ps. i am not asking you to do my work in any way, i do actually want to lean how to use ps better!
