I think you might have forgotten placeholders and a baby drag (which also has a placeholder) What do you mean by placeholders? Inventory or equipment or...? baby drag cant have a placeholder can only own 1 dragon egg a time if im correct.

when they crash and are mined they have about a 2 hour respawn time and they change location

you need * 10 of what the rock level is, so wait for an 80 miner to come get it down to 7
