  1. Is this normal?

    [hide]Sorry it's so big . . . forgot to crop.

I heard that this stranger comes after you during the Desert Treasure quest. Thing is . . . I haven't started that quest yet. So I was a little confused.

Another weird thing was that he would switch from player to player if the one he was following logged out or teleported away.

Is this a glitch or am I just a noob who doesn't understand how this guy works?

P.S. Don't laugh at my quest total. I am NOT a good quester. (For example: the last quest I attempted (3 months ago) was Icthlarin's Little Helper where I died in the pyramid and lost over 52M  )

There's a chance he comes when you are carrying a diamond from the quest. So I have no idea why he he's there... :D

  2. Im getting sick of all the member doors in a F2P world. Around 3/5 dungeons in F2P got member doors in it -(Thieving, construction). (Maybe because it knows im P2P)

I had to make stuff for a guy in the dungeon, puzzle thingy. I had to fletch arrows... IN A F2P world... ' You must be on a members world to do that'

  3. I've released an update that should help the stuck people, if they log back in TWICE. (They'll almost certainly crash the first time, but this gives the server a chance to move them somewhere safe.)

And let me know how it goes, please. It's a horrible hack, but it's the best thing I can think of for the moment.

  4. Here's a bit more information about the bug that's causing the game to crash if they go south of Ardougne...

The bug affects some bushes next to the Tower of Life. Originally, there was a bug where they were floating above the ground; it was fixed by making the bushes rotate to match the ground's slope.

Unfortunately, the rotation code in the game gets confused if the bushes are exactly on the *edge* of the bit of map loaded by your computer.

So you might walk straight past them and be fine, but if you happen to load a chunk of map that's got the bushes on its edge, you're stuck.

Now, this is a game engine problem, and I can't do quick-fix jobs to that. But I'm going to see if I can at least unstick the players who crashed out there. No promises, though - this might not work.

I'll let you know if I make any progress. In the meantime, I'm very sorry about the inconvenience.
