Gays are humans. We are humans. They may believe different things, but why should I hate them? It's like a person with a different religon, just because someone is Muslim and im Christain, why do I have to hate them because they think very different things?
They think diffrently? Who's they? Just because a person is gay, doesn't mean they don't have the same view as you.
Being gay is having sex with the same gender. Views come nowhere near a persons private life in his/her bedroom.

Guess I'm not mistaken after all. Islamic countries are more liberal when it comes to women's rights compared to years ago.
But still very restrictive compared to the western world.
I never compared the two, however. I just said that their laws toward women has changed.

I know you may be refering to the veils that the women wear in Saudi and stuff. Those aren't really bad for the women. If you wanna know a true story about why they are there, just ask.

Who's to say I'd be the wrong one and not you, anyways? I can read clearly, and I can see some things in those holy books are metaphores or worded confusingly, but NOT EVERYTHING.

Imagine no suicide bombers, no 9/11, no 7/7, no Crusades, no witch-hunts, no Gunpowder Plot, no Indian partition, no Israeli/Palestinian wars, no Serb/Croat/Muslim massacres, no persecution of Jews as 'Christ-killers,' no Northern Ireland 'troubles,' no 'honour killings,' no shiny-suited bouffant-haired televangelists fleecing gullible people of their money ('God wants you to give till it hurts.')
All those things are done in the name of religion or God, all are done because of unquestioning faith. They're not done by people who say "let's use religion as an excuse to kill some people", they're all done because people actually believe in their cause, otherwise why else would someone blow themself up, if they don't believe in an afterlife?
Oh for the love of.. People will still kill each other even if there is no religion. We'd kill each other if our skins don't match, or we don't live the same lifestyle. You name it. It's not just religion they kill themselves for. People would kill themselves to give a better life for their families. Don't be so naive to think that people kill themselves only for an afterlife.

Personally, I think a Sharia law would be silly. This is my own opinion, and I'm not going to force it upon anyone. I mean, if your wife or girlfriend is seeing someone outside of your relationship then you should divorce them. yes they shouldn't be doing that, but I agree and most likely many people I know would agree that whipping is getting OTT.
Yet again, you were raised to NOT hit women.
I was also raised not to hit anyone else, as well as women. I know that western society is still sexist towards men and that women are seen as 'weaker' at times; but still this brings me on to the whole 'violence is not the way to go' argument. I would have a similar opinion if it was the other way round.
And Achilleus, try to add USEFUL stuff to the topic.
