Just figured since this was coming up again, and the first time I said this was lost around a dozen pages back, I'd re-post it.

Just thought I'd clear up the whole banana rum thing, it's used in the tai bwo wannai trio quest. The guy asks for a bottle of karamja rum, but if you make it by wedging the banana in the bottle, he tells you it's "useless" and makes you re-do it by slicing the banana and putting the slices in the bottle. Since it's part of a quest, it is not a useless runescape fact, and all conversation pertaining to the banana rum must cease and decist under penalty of looking foolish. :)

Well, I'd rather not get into a browser battle, but IE is not so much what I'm used to, as it's what my mom's used to. I never upgraded to firefox/opera mainly for that reason, but hopefully now that she's forced to get used to IE7, i'll soon be able to switch. As for the moment, I can't uninstall either IE6 or IE7 without losing both. IE6 shouldn't even be on my computer, and uninstalling IE7 won't leave me with IE6, because most of IE6's functionality is gone. Because I have IE installed as an integrated part of windows, rather than a stand-alone program, neither one appears under the Add/remove programs box, but the generic title of "Internet Explorer" is in the Windows XP setup section. Unfortunately, uninstalling that leaves me with no IE, and re-installing it gives me IE7 back, but doesn't fix my problem. Any other ideas? PS. If anyone knows a way to stop IE7 from zooming in/out whenever I move the middle mouse wheel while holding control, that'd be nice too. I realize it's probably impossible to stop it, but it's kind of annoying.

Well, up until yesterday, I used IE6, but windows went and decided to automatically update to IE7. I don't really mind that much, except for one problem. When I hit start, and go to my games sub-folder, there's an icon there for runescape. It's just the link moved out of IE's favorites list, and placed there so I can get to http://www.runescape.com. The other two browsers remain blank, and IE6 doesn't run properly. I've tried deleting the link, hoping that a new copy created in IE7 would work, but no go. Any ideas?

It's a very rare thing that a player on RS is so generous that they make this kind of an impact when they go. It's always sad to see someone leave RS, but they've always quit, and it's especially saddening when they go like this. I've known many players to leave a legacy, but none have ever spawned 17 pages of memorials on the forums, spread across two threads, all in a two day period. This just goes to show you what kind of a person Shiva was, and may we always remember him for that. R.I.P. Shiva.

I'd get a drag med, drag chain, drag legs and drag shield, then do legends and monkey madness, then get the arrows to get 60 ranging and do ME1 and ME2, then finally get full gilded, a few dozen glories, and spend whatevers left on damaged book pages, and doing future quests.

I have a Geforce4 video card and DirectX 9.0c, and somewhere in between those two, there seems to be a problem. Whenever I load any program that uses DirectX, I get two error messages: the first reads "The D3D8.DLL file is linked ro missing export DDRAW.DLL:Unlock:CB" and the second reads "C://(path to the [Caution: ExecutableFile] file of whatever program)[Caution: Executable File] A device attatched to the system is not functioning" I have tried googling the messages, and this seems to have happened to a lot of people before, and they fixed it by reinstalling either DirectX or the video card driver. I have done both, and neither did anything. If you're wondering, I have Windows 98SE with a Pentium4 processor. Anyone got any ideas on what to do next?

I can't believe people have gotten 14 mimes! I have gotten 0! nor have I gotten any mazes, i've gotten 3 genies, and about 5-6 puzzle boxes. On th other hand, I've gotten enough swarms/river trolls/golems/shades/zombies that I feel like screaming!
