Just more younger kids that play Runescape, and they have a higher mining level than you. And seeing as how they cannot succed in anything in real life....decide to pick on you. I have to say though, I congratulate you. You didn't stoop down to their level and fight back. Very nicely done.

I've heard those exact same statistics as well. You have to remember though, it is still 80% random luck.
