  1. If there was a "beat-up" option on everyone, idiots would create accounts just to log in, beat someone up, and log out. They'd thrive on the annoyance that this suggestion would create. All I have to say is, if someone is being annoying, switch worlds. It's just that simple, and it really works. Or, if they're following you and such and you don't want to switch, teleport to a random place or pop into a guild they can't access. That works, too. World Wide Wilderness left four years ago and has never returned for good reason. Combat should never be the deciding factor in a game where masterful miners, fishers, woodcutters, etc. can made out of a level 3 character. One shouldn't fear having to play this game because their combat is not up to scratch with everyone else's.
  2. Here is my advice: Power mine the three iron rocks in the Al Kharid mine. If someone else is there mining faster than you, switch worlds. If there are never any free worlds, rise early in the morning and beat the rush. I did this to level 85. I am currently level 86. It took weeks and weeks to power mine iron from 76 to 85. However, it is the fastest method, so don't get frustrated. Until the mining system is fixed so that level 50's can't outmine a level 86, you'll simply have to deal with it. I do like the idea that rocks should be like trees. Very clever.
  3. Just as a quick question to anyone reading this, what is the highest ranked Chompy Hat that you have ever seen someone wear? The best I've seen was red five-feather, but now that I have black, I can only count mine. I just want to know how many gold five-feathers are out there.
  4. There have to be some people out there that have worked hard for a gold five-feather hat and all they have are some flashy feathers. I have a black five-feather, but am well on my way to gold. Since these hats take so much effort to gain, I believe that they should provide the wearer with a range bonus or something along those lines. Perhaps +1 for the first, +2 for the second, and so on and so forth, all the way to +18 with the gold five-feather. I'm aware that this would make a Robin Hat (+8, for those who don't know) obsolete, so the bonuses shall be subject to change. Still, I think it better to have to earn a hat to give a range bonus rather than buy one or get lucky on a treasure trail. It takes a lot of patient ranging to earn one, so why not make it more useful? Post if you agree or disagree (and please explain why, should you disagree).
  5. I power mined the iron in Al Kharid; mining three, dropping three, and I made it to 85 mining without a "drop all" feature. It's not impossible. Just learn to live with the...ahem...inconvenience?
  6. I started playing in June or July of 2002 (hence my name). I also remember how you got to choose the type of player you will be. I am, and always will be, an Adventurer =D It's sad to think that tons of people on RuneScape shall never get this option to choose. Although it makes no difference now, I'm glad I was around back then. Now that Tutorial Island is out, people learn how to do everything. All I got was an axe, a tinderbox, and 10 hp (which I think was higher than normal when starting out). I don't recall anything else I got. Those were the days.
