  1. First session will be Saturday, May 21st, 4pm EST

    Hacmachi network to join is:

    TavernEuropa

    Password: tavern

IP address to connect to in the game is 5.239.253.23 (you have to be in the hamachi network though)

    Mumble info:

    85.236.100.59

    Port 9862

    password; ub

Alright, to get your stuff working.

Please make sure you have everything up to date and working properly with the correct checksum before we start. And don't try and do it 10 minutes before we start please...

    Steam version:

If you have it installed. Uninstall it, then reinstall it. Steam tends to bugger up the first install and give you a wrong checksum (usually RSOZ).

Run the game so that it loads the paths and textures, then quit and start it again, check to see that you have the checksum OUMN (Divine Wind 5.0)

Now, copy the Europa Universalis III Complete folder in your steam/steamapps folder to somewhere else (Like C;/Games)

    Download the May 17th 4.1beta (http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?537264-Beta-of-5.1-17th-May-2011)

Unzip the folder, and copy all the files to the new EU3 folder that you made

Delete all the files in the maps/cache folder

Run the game so it loads the paths and textures, then quit, and restart it.

If you have the checksum DCOA then you're ready to go!

MAKE SURE TO RUN THE GAME FROM THE EU3GAME[Caution: Executable File]

    GamersGate/Retail Version:

    Install the game.

    Apply the May 17th 4.1beta patch (http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?537264-Beta-of-5.1-17th-May-2011)

Delete the files in the maps/cache folder, then start the game so that it reloads them

Quit the game and start it again

If you have the checksum DCOA then you're ready to go!

MAKE SURE TO RUN THE GAME FROM THE EU3GAME[Caution: Executable File]

This way both Steam/Impulse versions can play with other versions.

    Portugal - Dungeonal *

    Venice - Paul

    Trol - France

    GAME RULES

I am the GM (Game Master/General Manager), any dispute that can't be handled between players I will try to solve as impartially as possible.

Do not pause the game unless absolutely necessary. If the game is going to fast ask the host to slow down the game speed.

Lucky nations will be set to 'Off'

A naval group can't be more than 150 strong (eg no galley spam)

No wrecking of your nation or opposing players nations. If you lost a single war don't get pissy and destroy your nation and quit. Likewise if you're winning a war, don't decline peace deals endlessly and just keep occupying an opponents country until it breaks.

Once a player surrenders in a war, peace terms must be made immediately. You can't continue fighting after someone has surrendered. Peace terms are up to the two (or more) players.

Alliance leaders in a war cannot peace out with who they are at war with without the agreement of the minor allies (So if France and Brandenburg are fighting against Milan, France can't peace out and end the war unless the minor ally [brandenburg] either says thats okay, or negotiaties their own peace with Milan).

There are no peace term restrictions, just keep in mind that if you take half of someone's country after a single war, someone else might do so to you.

You can't sell a province to another player if that other player can't see the province or your capital (so you can't sell Japan the province of Orleans in 1399).

No declaring war on a player's vassal to get around having to fight another player's allies.

  2. Ohh... I'm scared...[/sarcasm]

I don't know if you already know this, but you're not invincible, nor are you frightening. To be honest you're the one who should be scared, for more reasons than you know.

    Who is this directed at?

Wait a minute, Vasily beat me up while I was unconscious and I showed no signs of damage at all afterwards? What am I, some sort of genetic engineering experiment gone right?

I never touched you. I told my squad to detain you.

  3. Yo [garden tool] [garden tool]!

Bit of a [bleep] move dusty, bah, probably serves me right for thinking you weren't playing a power hungry egomaniac this time around. At any rate, this should be interesting.

Well you guys made me an enemy by telling the British!

  4. I think if we copy our EU3 steam folder to someplace else (like C;/Games), then apply the new 5.1beta patch and launch from eu3game[Caution: Executable File] we all will have the same checksum, so yea, you'd be able to play with us.

  5. Alright, me and Icu got a game working. Here's what you need to do:

Have EU3 Complete, Heir to the Throne, and Divine Wind on steam.

Install them and check to see if you have the checksum OUMN

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE CHECKSUM OUMN, Uninstall EU3 (delete local content), delete its folder in the steamapps folder, then reinstall everything.

Load up the game so it gets past the 'creating paths and textures', get to the main menu, then quit and reload.

    Download Hamachi (http://hamachi.en.softonic.com/)

Connect to the network that one of us will set up (we'll post the info here when it comes time)

Then start up EU3, make sure you have the OUMN checksum, then go to Multiplayer->Join internet Game->Use the IP address provided to you.

Then sunshines and lollipops, and backstabs and global wars. Hooray.

  6. Yea no way to go back to HTTT if you bought Divine Wind. So I just went ahead and bought Divine Wind.

We'll do some test sessions (trying one out with a_bert atm), so hopefully we can go next Saturday around 4pm EST? This way we can use the metaserver too :)

Icu, you have to use your Navy more against France. Load up a big army, drop it off in southern France, then when the big french monster army comes after you, load them back up and drop them off in Northern France. Just keep running them around and picking off smaller French armies and avoiding fighting their supar stack. You beat them with war exhaustion, not by conquering all of mainland France.

  7. Too late, Nero, they were repurposed. My suit's worth more, you can have that and scrap it as you like. It won't fit Gerere anyways.

How much would I get for scrapping it?

  8. Shutup your face.

    Also, off session:

My shuttle heads down to the colony and loads 290 of those mechs I gave to you back onto the Estoc (I though at first they were like the mechs from MechWarrior, but instead they're like the humanoid LOKI mechs from Mass Effect, oh well). And yes I change their AI code or whatever to make them loyal to me.

So I now have 300 mechs on the Estoc. It'll do for a crew until I find suitable peoples.

  9. @Lynx

    It seems you love Vasily

    I'm a very loveable person.

Nex, I was the one to think of using the stasis pods, without me only a very few would have survived, since people just got reinfected right away.

You mean the stasis pods that blew up along with the Sarlane, killing everyone in them? Hahaha.

  10. I'm staying hidden until TFed leaves.

Even if it means finding a calm spot deep in a gas giant and teleporting the Knightmare into it for a few months.

You can come aboard the Estoc. It's not like a TFed ship could even catch us, even if they did find us.

Also I think 'rescuing' 4000 kT from the Sarlane before it was destroyed isn't exactly a bad thing. And I had a feeling it was going to explode because you guys were talking about the gas mines activating underneath the colony before.
