OK, on second thoughts, anyone know what it would be called? I did a search in the item database thingy on here and couldnt find it, but then again i dont know the proper name for it :-(

Woke up at 9.30am, put CSI:NY on.
Its 10:30 now, im just about to get up, have a bath, tidy up my drunken mess from last night (i am pretty sure there are cups,plates and shoes strewn across the living room)
I then have work at either 12 or 1pm, depending on when i want to go in, and then who knows what will happen after 4pm when i get home from work :-P

how do you guys clean your white shoes? my jordans are getting dirty after i tried to keep it squeeky clean :(
I put my white converse in the washing machine + dryer. they came out perfect \
you should seriously not put your shoes or trainers in a dryer!
The heat damages the glue of the shoe and can cause them to break.
best to just put them in a warm place, like an airing cupboard that is not too hot.

I work in a supermarket.
My main department is Stock control which includes, but not limited to....
- Counting stock across the whole of the Health and Beauty department over a period of five weeks and counting the entirety of stock on tobacco kiosk the week after, then the cycle starts again.
- I check that we get the stock in for promotions, if they are not set up by head office then I either try and get head office to fix it, or I work with the manager of the department to come to a decision on what we will put out instead.
- I do what is called "gap scan" which entails me walking around the department and scanning all that is out of stock and putting out out of stock labels. With a system generated report i go and look for the products that the system think we have in store. If we have it, i remove it from the system and put it out, if we don't have it then the system generates an order for some more to be delivered.
- I discontinue products that we are not going to be stocking any more and i move products around to fill the space to increase availability of other products.
That is the main parts of my actual job role, however I dont remember a day when i spent my entire shift working in my department.
I am often helping out on checkouts, picking products for the home shopping deliveries and helping out in the pharmacy when they are short staffed.
*EDIT* Also helping out in the garage.
I am on a options programme at the moment to become management :-)

I got yet another letter from them on monday.
I went into town yesterday to buy a dress and decided to talk to them. They have been taken over by another company so i went to the new people and told them i was not happy with them keeping my details, and not removing me from their books.
He took my details and he reassured me that i will be taken off of their books.
Whether or not this happens, i dont know, I seriously hope they do though.

i have tomorrow off of work, I will go in and speak to them AGAIN... can't see it being all that helpful.

Three years when I moved to a different city, I changed my opticians because they didn't have a store there. I contacted them and told them that I was with a different company and they said there was no issues with it.
SO it is all fine, until last year when I moved back in with my parents, I have stayed with my new company because I am happy with their services and their range of glasses.
Throughout the past year I have received about six notifications from them telling me that I am overdue an eye test. I have been into the store about four times, asking them to take me off of their register. The first time I went in, they said it was taken off, then the second time they said it was system error and they assured me that they had removed me.... what is their excuse for the other two times?
I had started to forget about it, until I got home from work on monday to find a reminder that i am apparently overdue an eye test (I actually had an eye test three months ago). This annoyed me, but i was going to ignore it.
I got home from work today to find that they have sent me yet another letter, kindly telling me that they have merged with another company and have given me a £30 off my next pair of glasses coupon ( I may point out that it is not redeemable on designer glasses... erm, thanks, but i have liked the last 4 pairs of red or dead glasses, so I will stick with that!).
This is beginning to feel like they are hounding me to go and use them again. I am tempted to write a letter to complain to them, because clearly going into their store is not getting me anywhere, but I am not exactly one for complaining to companies.
What would you do in this situation?
Complain, or just keep on recycling the junk mail they keep sending?

Speak to your local opticians... they should be able to give you a wider range of natural coloured lenses that wont be prescription... unless you need glasses... then there ya go lol.
I was thinking of getting some, but close to my eye colour and prescription to boost the colour.

To be honest I prefer the brown. To me, the blue is too bright for your eyes. if it was a little more of a natural blue then I would deffinatly say the blue.
You have reminded me that i need to set up my direct debit for my contacts though lol. Normal prescription ones though, not color.

White shoe polish?
Have you tried sticking them in the washing machine? Just dont use tumble dryer, because the heat screws with the glue and can ruin them.

I own 2 pairs of heels, one pair of ballet pumps (work shoes) Dr.Martins (new work shoes because i cant wear the ballet ones wth my combats, it looks silly) and three pairs of vans.
ALthough tbh, i only ever really wear my work shoes, because if im not in work, im either in bed, or over my boyfriends, so that requires one pair of shoes, or none :-P

I was going to ask what a condom slipper was, but i think ill just google it lol.
I hate crocs also.
But then again i hate sandals.
Hate feet also, so I dont generally like any shoe that shows off feet.
