  1. GE is great, life was a pain without it. Bartering was fun I guess, you eventually developed little techniques to get people to sell/buy at your price. But just the fun of barter did not make up for the annoyance and slowness.

  2. Well if I was a hacker, I would be a "nice" hacker. I'd leave all your untradables alone and I'd even say sorry and bid you a good day in your notes lulz. Of course people who hack in the first place aren't good people so I'm not surprised. I'm guessing they get a kick out of knowing they made somebody upset.

But this kind of attitude isn't that unusual, you can find it in many aspects of the game. On top of my mind, I've been playing CW and people often bad-mouth people just before they die. Is it justified? Nope, something like 10vs1 is hardly something to be cocky about. Yet people do it, just to piss off the person dying. Or another example, people that kick you out of a dungeon before the boss, again just to piss you off with no real gain for them. No doubt this is partially because it is on internet and they know there will not be punished for their actions.

  3. Ofc it's worth it, only 25 hours for the best rings in the game.

Fastest way is suiciding. Take 10 light squads (any race), get 5 cannons, make them attack the wall and cannon yourself to death when it hits 26mins. Don't go out of your way to win any fights because 90% of the time it's a waste of time. A tip the videos/guides don't tell you: make one of your squads attack a different wall than yours. This is safeguard against heavy armoured a-holes who troll suiciders by cannoning your troops to death before 26mins.

  4. Minimalistic aka 'barefoot' shoes > all

Normal shoes have an unnatural heel to toe ratio that harm your knees, feet and posture. Minimalistic shoes follow the natural curve of your foot.

They need getting used to as the soles are very thin with no cushioning like the shoes you are used to. But once you've broken them in, they're great, you never look back.

There are lots of companies making them. I have some feelmax and vibram five fingers. The feelmax are very comfortable and look like normal shoes. The vibram five fingers are not as comfortable, but they are great for running outdoors in mud/water/hills/forest/etc. The vibrams look extremely goofy though, as each toe has a pocket, making you look like a monkey, they attract looots of attention (this can be good or bad depending on you). If you're looking for something cheap, sockwa makes some basic shoes with great reviews, these will prob be my next buy.

  5. Everyone's got options for all keyboards and languages possible.

But your physical keyboard has only one layout so you need to match it up with the correct one for the stuff written to make sense.

I'm guessing he solved his problem but couldn't be bothered to post lol

  6. Eh I know somebody that stayed up 2 weeks straight to win a radio contest. Not to mention people with general insomnia going for 3-4 days without sleep at a time, still alive too. I don't see how 2 days would kill a person.

  7. Keto helps you stick with the right number of calories because fats, proteins and veggies fill you up more. Also you lose your water weight, making you look 5-10 lbs-ish slimmer than you actually are.

I liked how it made me feel when I tried it, however I missed eating my fruits. It's probably a good diet for people that only eat bad carbs though, like pasta, pizza and all that jazz.

  8. Nope. That pic is a keyboard from France, there's a different keyboard in Quebec. Also it says Alberta, there are no French speakers there. There's a different keyboard for English-speaking Canadians. He might also have a US keyboard because that's what they often sell in stores.

  9. I've hated female character models ever since that update in 2005. Female characters used to look like they could kick ass and had realistic proportions. Then Jagex transformed them into disproportionate barbies and it's never been the same since.

  10. To make a parenthesis, at school there were many teachers that were harsh. They yelled, threatened and wanted things done their way. During class, they would often start ranting about how inferior or ignorant we were compared to them. Just total nonsense. Everyone hated them, and many students would go out of their way just to create problems in their class. Many of these teachers ended up going in burnout and blaming the students for it. In fact their own behaviour was what causing the problems in the first place.

Then there was a minority of teachers that were quite different. They respected the students, were pleasant to us, made conversation to us and allowed us to use their first names. Basically they treated us like people. In return the students respected and loved them and there were very few interruptions or problems during class. Which isn't to say that these teachers let us do whatever we wanted, however when problems arose they were handled calmly and sometimes even skilfully defused with humour. None of them went into burnout, they just enjoyed their jobs.

I feel that parenting works similarly. If you act like a tyrant, look down on your children, use violence and yelling to get points across, it's a given your children will resent you and be vindictive. If you treat your children like people, respect them, pay attention to what they think and how they feel about things, take in account their input and react calmly in difficult situations, they are much more likely to have good behaviour.

Few children are inherently bad. There's no shortage of bad parenting however. There seems to be a disturbingly large amount of parents that believe that children are just born to follow their orders blindly. The way I see it, being a parent means you're in charge of guiding a soul through life on earth until they are able to stand on their own. It makes you a mentor, not an army general.
