  1. Good job picking yourself up after the break and amazing drops! And btw, what do think of the new Rs?

    I love the new game.

They did a ton of work to make it feasable, and those changes are awesome.

They had to put a value on every item to allow the game to monitor unbalanced trades, and it brought about one of the best updates ever. The Grand Exchange. I love that big store! No more World 2 for me! Woot! So awesome. You can find anything, and sell everything. Its great!

Then the big change comes. No more pking. No more losing clues to trash talking kids. No more kids leeching off of other peoples pixels. No more scamming merchants. No more people telling me they want me to die at the fishing guild because they want my party hat. No more pile jumping. No more looting. No more luring. No more bots. No more gold farmers.

The evils of Runescape have been eliminated! Rejoice!

The only thing that has me worried about is lootsharing. No more Dag Kings.

But, I am confident, that they will figure out a way to allow Lootshare team members to trade cash between themselves to even the score if one member of a team of six gets a hilt, dragon axe, or bandos plate.

    They have to fix that.

Other than that, no more gifts. That kinda sucks. But a small price to pay to rid the game of evil.

Just my opinion. I know alot of players are going to quit because they can't PK pixels anymore, or make any money taking advantage of people in merchanting techniques, but in my mind.... Good Riddance.

  2. This is a tale of my quest for completing the Varrock Diary.

It all started when Valerie told me that completing it allows me to smith two at the price of one. I thought I'd get 2 bars for every iron ore. I couldn't be more wrong. And I am still happier than a pup with two peters.

One of the things needed to be done was the museum kudos. I found I needed quests done to get all the 153 points. One of them I never did was "A Tail of Two Cats". Silly RS cats. Bleah.

I always thought RS cats were silly. People naming them. Tripping over them at the Dag Kings, as Oddfaery always brought one along. Bleah! Stupid cats.

And soon, my feelings will change.

First, I had to pick my own color cat. Its on the list. Found out I needed the Charos ring, so I go to the Frankenstien mansion to pick his pocket. Nowhere to be found. What the hey?? Where the heck is he? I went all over that stupid mansion, and couldn't find him. Go back to the bank to make sure I didn't have it. No. I don't. Maybe its in the well? I remember somethign about using a fishing rod in the edgeville well. My character tells me I'm stupid, and should try fishing at a fishing spot.

Thank goodness for Tip.It, as one of those brilliant crewbies told me that unless I did the Great Brain Robbery, the good doctor is actually in the basement of that windmill. Ah! Finally found him.

I pick my own cat, and enjoy our little partnership in the Two Cats quest, and lucky for me, Bob was right in Burthorpe during the whole quest? Goodness, I could imagine him being in some remote corner of the world. What a pain that quest would be. We chat with my catspeak amulet, and he tells me he's happy.

Then, I need to catch 100 rats, to get some cat training award. Kittens can't catch rats very well, and I'm bumming. Its going to take weeks at this rate. So disappointed. Can I trade him in?

Thanks to Tip.It again, as the pet care guide tells me that kittens can't catch rats, and you need to wait till he's a cat. Well, my beautiful new kitten follows me keeping me company, everywhere around Varrock, as I complete all the other tasks.

And when I'm finishing up my last item (except for the 100 rats) which was taking a baloon from Varrock. I waited for last on this, because its another quest I haven't done. After crashing my baloon, and finding 12 willow branches (Pain!) my cat followed me as my co-pilot.

And just as I finally landed in Varrock, he turned into a beautiful full grown white cat.

And as I took him down to the sewer, he was awesome! He was kicking rats left and right! So proud of my pretty kitty! He danced and purred as he hit 10. He danced and rolled over as he hit 50. And he danced at my feet as he quickly hit 100. Awesome cat! What a hunter! What a tiger!

So, with my new completed diary, new Varrock armor (3), a very very nice furnace in Edgeville, I am now....

    In love with my cat.

Go figure! Here's a picture of me and my White Tiger.

  3. Well, the luck has dried up. This clue was the end of it.

    (pIC HERE)

Then, the dry spell started. 5 dead clues in a row. Of course, no luck at the mith dragons. I even killed 434 spirt mages in a row with no boots. No more luck with Dark Bows. And then I started fiddling with the Grand Exchange...

    And thats when it happened.

My goals evolved. I started filling in the blank spots in my house with stuff I could never find before. The treasure trail chest is full of black shields (H1-5). And thats when the evoluton took place.

I have a strong urge to complete things. Fill the house up. Finish all the quests. Get all the 99's. Get all the items.

The Grand Echange is going to make things easy.

Smithing - Buy steel bars in seconds. Sell cannonballs in seconds. Until level 73. Then buy addy bars in seconds, and sell crossbow bolts. These are the very few ways smithing doesn't cost millions. It makes money this way.

Herblore - Buy thousands of ranaars in seconds. Sell the pray pots in seconds. The only time wasted will be collecting all that dang snapegrass.

Crafting - Buy all the dragonhides you can eat... in seconds. Alch your money back.

Which brings me to runecrafting. Will need lots of nats, and that gets levels. I have like 200k pure essence in the bank from some smart day when I bought a ton when they were still being farmed by bots.

I want that 99 pray now. I'm sick of seeing all these 126's walking around, and me not being one of them. I can make money. I have the technology.

I want my sets. My house is missing all the void stuff. I want those sets. I want my treasure trail box filled. I want my cape closet filled. I want that fire cape. I need that stupid lumberjack outfit. And you know what? After three months off, even tremple trekking sounds fun. Almost. lol.

So, it starts. Or it continues. I like to think of it as a start, because I've never really wanted all 99's. I could care less about the quests. So its a new deal for me. Being motivated to smith is totally new. lol.

So, the stories from now on will be about my new goals.

To complete things....To complete the game.

    Enjoy.

  4. Okay, Tip.It has changed alot, so I'm not sure where to put this.

With todays new update, there is a new clue co-ordinate. So, I'm submitting to the crew, so they can update the Treasure Trail guide.

Move this to where it belongs, please.

    The Coordinates are....

    18 3 North

    25 16 East

It is located in the wilderness, in some cage with deadly red spiders, just west of the new Clan War Arena. Its against the east wall.

    Here is a picture.

  5.

with the void robes, if u have robe bottom/top, gloves and void ranger helm it increses you max hit with range. ive never used it but it supposedly helps alot. GL AT MITHS! i may c u there ;) i go there a few trips a day

I read up on it, and found out you have to have the entire outfit for the effect to work. More reading discovered that thats over 1500 pest control points.

I don't see that happening. lol. And with all the ranger gear, the range bonus might balance out the extra 10% you get from the void.

I sure would like to hear a good comparision of the uber-range outfit range bonus compared to the void bonus. See if its worth it.

    ____

AWESOME PIC DRUM! Major congrats. I want that bad. Are you standing on it, because I'd like to see the pic of the drop. Anyway, huge awesomeness.

Myself, 3 trips to mith dragons, 8 kills a piece. Nothing but a chewed bone. That bone gave me 15 death runes. Bleah! lol. Oh well, I finished off the night with taking the new bow to the blue dragons.

It really is a good bow. Unlike that godsword compared to the whip, its a much better bow than anything else.

  6. Now, I know some of you think I'm just as lucky as they come. You've read the stories, and the blogs, and all the cool things that happen to "Lucky Leesters". But you only hear the good things. I don't write about long dry streaks. 99 percent of the time, nothing amazing happens. Nothing fun to read there, eh? I've had my moments, yes, but mostly, its just normal stuff. Just like the rest of us.

Valerie was different. About a year ago, Valerie had ridiculous luck. Once, while hanging out at the abby demons, she got five whips in one trip. She got robin hood hats in her clues. Twice. In a row. It was beyond

luck. It was beyond chance. It was just plain freaky. And it was constant

But since I started playing again after about 3-4 months off, I must admit I have had the most insane luck. I have taken over the constant freaky.

I've been training slayer for about a week now, and its just one thing after

another. The "Leesters Luck" is recently truly... well... true.

I had two metal dragon tasks. Both short trips yeilded Dragon Skirts.

I had one Gargoyle task. It yeilded two robe tops, and SEVEN addy

    boots. That was freaky.

My first Nech task (got this one alot) yielded rune boots... on my first kill.

Every following Nech task included at least one pair of boots, and ALWAYS a clue.

I had clue scrolls raining down on me.

From the clues, I got 2 Guthix chaps, Zamarok stole, Tinted Rune skirt,

7 god pages, and my first ever gilded armor.

Out of the many clues I did, only 2 were duds. Thats crazy!

Each Spectre task averaged 3 lava staffs, at least one robe bottom, and of course... a clue.

Thank goodness for the Grand Exchange. The big store sells everything.

    Except those silly lava sticks.

On Dec 3, it was the first anniversary of that cool wedding Val and I had.

I was planning on doing an anniversary clue. As I would slay, I knew a clue would pop up eventually. And I would proclaim it to be hers. Whatever I get, that would be her gift for the day. I just knew it was going to be something good. I had no doubt.

And as I stood at level 46 in the wild, digging under the sapphire, the little screen popped up and revealed my second Zammy Stole.

    "Ha! I knew it!"

    "What you get???"

    "????"

I had no time to respond, as I was panicing. I was in deep multi-attack wild, and if I die here, I lose it. I was running my wagon off to get safe. She was training at the fairy ring abby's, so I was there fast.

I hand it over, wish a Happy Anniversary, and get that satisfying "OMG!" I was looking for. And of course, she didn't have one, loved the color, and now wears it with the cutest outfits of all.

It wasn't just lucky. It was the perfect gift for a girl who has everything.

    And it just kept coming.

My first abby demon task, I got a clue on my first kill. It yeilded sara legs. And..of course... I got a whip.

I got a spiritual mages task. In 20 minutes of killing, I had 2 dragon boots in my pack. My second spiritual mage task yeilded 3 boots.

And as my slayer level snuck up on me, I got my 90 slayer unexpectedly. I had quite the party planned. I was going to get myself a genie, invite

the community to a grand welcome back party with fun and sparkles. But, late at night, I was closer than I thought, and got my level as I was burning through Jellies. (Which yielded 4 rune large drops, and of course.. a clue)

As I was falling asleep at the Jellies, the sparkle woke me up. I even

    gota picture! Imagine that...

    i1432081_90slayer.png

Now, I finally got level 90 slayer. This was my goal. I wanted to be able

to earn my own drop. The new bow. Ability to kill every slayer monster.

Dark beasts. Besides the 99 cape, its the ultimate slayer achievement. I

was there. My dissappointment quickly turned to excitement. Besides,

everyone on here has already been to a Leesters party. Oh well. I get to

    go for the bow now!

And then I heard. These things are rare. Valerie has been trying to get

one since they came out. Not one drop. Rarer than a whip. It wasn't going to be easy.

I've never even seen one. But if you know me, you know I must have the best equipment in the game. Its just what drives me. When I heard about a "Dark Bow", I had to have it. Thats why I'm back, really. To get the new stuff. Visage, Dark Bow, and Dragon Large are all on the shopping list.

So, the next day, after work, I'm waiting for Val to log in so we can go to

the Dark Beasts. I'm very excited. So, I'm waiting. And waiting.

I wanted to get used to the game again, so I tried my memory on mith dragons. Just one trip. Just to get the inventory down again. I brought way too many potions, and not enough food.

I was only able to kill three. And I got chewed bones. Valerie has been

trying for months for these. I got it on my second kill.

As I'm reading, trying to figure out what to do with these things, Soma

starts his DK pestering. Very entertaining. I misdirected message on

purpose saying he's gonna track me down and pummel me with a rubber chicken. And then he keeps asking if I want to go to the kings. The explanation that I'm a noob falls on deaf ears, as he explains I'm the one who taught him. Oh what the heck. I have to get back there sooner or later. Why not, especially since I don't have to find a team.

There are only 2 rangers. One of them is a little lower level. I struggle with inventory from lack of practice. This is not giving me good feelings.

With only two rangers, you are guaranteed to deal with two kings at once

almost every time you get to Supreme. Sure enough. The other ranger...

well... how do I say this nicely? He wasn't as good as rangers I'm used to

going with. He was always slow to get to Supreme, which was not good since we were fighting respawn time. He always made him dance around. Dude, he's three squares thick. Click the spot, then attack. Dancing around for five seconds does NOT make Prime spawn any later. He was late on prayer switching. He was always turning prayer off, so I had to watch him in the corner of my eye. It was just plain stressful. And then he died. Trip wasn't half way done. With no drops yet.

I had to take a break after that.

When I log back on, Valerie is there. Let's go to the beasts girl, I've been waitng for you!

"I'm killing tourtoises. I love em!"

Bleah! Stood up for turltes? Fine then! Okay, so she says their not turtles. Their mutated tortoises, or something or other from a quest I know nothing about. And she's in a sewer. I'm still getting stood up.

Come join me when you're done, I'm going to start my search for the Dark Bow.

After about the first dose of super set, she shows up, ready to roll. We

have fun talking about this and that, and conversation is always fun when

we're hanging out. Makes time go by quick. I find out she never has gotten a bow yet. After many many hours of trying. And my drops have been very boring. It wasn't looking good.

Minutes after conceding that this is going to take weeks of beast killing,

and I will need to make more supersets... Bam. I was on my second super-set dose. Been there maybe 20 minutes.

On the floor is the hugest drop item. It looked like a huge snake skin on

the floor. Omg, could this be a bow? I hold my mouse on it, and sure enough...

    "Examine: Dark Bow"

    "Omg. Its huge!"

I pick it up and weild it.

    OMG! ITS FREAKING HUUUUUUUUUGE!

"Omg, this thing is freaking huge".

    "What?"

She didn't know I got the drop yet. Even though I blurted out like 4 Omg's and ran over to the rune rock safe spot, and started shooting the bow.

Finally, she runs over and gives the OMG!!!!

    "Leeeee! Your luck is insane!"

Yes. I finally admit. "Lucky Leesters" fits.

After trying a little longer to get hers, and a practice run to the KBD, we went fishing. And the night was over. But I did manage to get a pic of me all gussied up at the fishing guild with my new toy. Pic #2!

    i1432102_Untitled.png

So, who's up for a few dragon chain drops at the KQ? Lucky Leesters is ready.

And please let me know if you need a lava staff.

  7. indeed the prices are a bit high or low. they will become right eventually however.

As it's a new release, it'll be a bit iffy to start with but give it a week or two and it'll have stabalised

Yeah, the way its set up, the prices will come down if there's more supply, and come up if theres more demand.

And the way its correcting itself is nice and slow, to make sure it doesn't over correct.

IMO, this is one of the best additions to the game in a long time. I love the way they did it.

Since its new, the prices are still a little out of whack on some items, but the supply and demand will correct itself.

And also since its new, it will take awhile for the swarm of people dumping their bank junk into the system to work itself out.

A year from now, this thing will be perfectly balanced on all items. Even in a couple months things will start stabalizing.

And someone please buy my rune boots. lol.

(Yeah, I'm back. My blog has some pretty funny "first day" stories in it, check it out. Hehe. I'm such a noob again.)

  8. That clue I got?

It turned out to be Guthix Chaps. 348k at the exchange, but no one is buying it. lol.

And then the luck died. Slayer tasks went stale. Iron dragons, nechs, iron dragons, nechs, whats up with that? Then a kalphite task logged me off.

I did manage to get 1000 cannonballs for 158 each, though. I do like that Exchange thing.

We've been begging for "player owned stores" for ages. No more W2 for me, thats for sure.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome.

Wakka, your spam post is forgiven, and it was good seeing your name in lights. But could you please edit your 12 foot OMGOMG post so i don't have to scroll over 18 clicks to read this page now? lol.

I get alot of funny looks and double takes on chat now. hehe.

    Bramady was my favorite -

    From Bramady: *pounce* Hi hi!

Brammy can pounce me all she wants. Hehe. Val, I didn't say that. It was my evil twin again.

  9. After logging in members for the first time in over three months away from the game and away from Tip.It.....

"Great! Your new task is 153 Imperial Mages. Please come back to me

when you have finished your task."

Wait, aren't they called Infernal Mages? No, this is obviously something

    new.

So, I shout out to Edge bank, "Does anyone know where Imperial Mages

    are?"

    Someone replies back, "Godwars dungeon".

Now, I know that I have been gone for a long time, and have missed many updates, but the term "Godwars dungeon" sounds extremely dangerous to me.

And since I'm way to embarrassed to ask anyone exaclty where this place

is, I turn to the "Got any tips for me?" memory. I am no longer familiar

with my bank, so I struggle to find that little gem that lets me talk to

    Duradel, and finally find it.

He mentions that they are located in the "caves in the ice", so at

least I know where to go look.

I remember that the Trollheim tele is 2 laws and 2 fires, grab the

runes, dress up in a fairly cheap ranger outfit, and get a full inventory of

sharks and a house tele tab, completing a foreshadowing of danger.

If it were only that simple.

So, I tele to Trollheim, and wind my way up north. I find ice. But I

went the wrong way, so the only ice I found brought memories back to hunter spots and getting lost looking for white colored kebbits and silly black butterflies.

So I pull up the trusty Runescape World Map.

Ah, I see the dungeon marker. Its just directly north of the tele spot.

So I rub the ammy, and grab some more runes.

I find my way through, after being reminded how hard the trolls hit you

when they throw those boulders at you as you walk by, I found a place I've never seen. Its blocked by a huge boulder. This must be the place.

As I wander closer, I lose a hit point. Oh goodness. That looks very

familiar to that quest that slowly lowered every single stat.

Yep, sure enough. My stats are being drained. Oh, the trusty Glory

Ammy. Back to the bank, grab the super stat restore potion, and make the walk again.

This time, I remember to range pray. Hey! I'm getting the hang of the game again! Imagine that.

So, I figure out that I'm able to actually move a boulder 1000 times my

size, and squeeze my way through.

I find the hole in the ground, and click on it.

And a quest-like text pops up under my game screen saying "Psst, over

    here." Okaaaaaaaayy?

So, I walk over to some old guy sitting in the snow, and tells me to

give this scroll to Sir Tiffy. Okay, maybe later, old man.

So, back to the hole. I click on the hole, and this time, I'm

reminded I do not have a rope.

    Here we go again.

Bank, get rope, walk back. And of course, the noob feeling is now to a

exponential level. I gave the scroll to the Tiffster and read the long

reply, without it giving me much help. Just finding out that there's a

new sword. Ah, I am starting to see. This is a new boss place. And I

realize that Jagex did it again. I foreshadow future hours of mastering a new boss, as I make way back up to the dungeon.... again.

Put the rope on there, and go in the hole.

BAM! Even without lag, the new screen loads, and I'm already down to

half hit points. Good God! So I start gobbling sharks, and while I'm still

taking 20's I turn on melee prayer. Which helped a little, but not

much, because I'm getting bombarded by all three combat styles.

And I'm eating sharks as I'm running around a huge cave with 100's of

yellow dots, all with ridiculously powerful attacks.

I find a corner with level 125 Imperial Mages, and funny looking birds

and trolls shooting things at me, hitting me, and who knows what thing is

maging me. I'm getting freakin hammered.

I try to turtle into a corner, but it doesn't help much, and I try to

attack the mages, switching my prayer, and getting hammered even more. At one point I was down to 10 hitpoints, gobbling sharks, when I finally smarten up, and ask myself "what the heck am I doing down here??" and click the house tele tab.

As I stand in my house I haven't visited in months, I'm thinking to

myself that I'm going to kill Duradel. Slowly. Manually cut out his heart.

With a dull spoon. How dare he casually send me into that death hole

    without a warning! That dirty #&^@*$$* !!!!

So, taking my magnified noob feeling to the fishing guild, I fish for

    food.

At least I still know how to do that.

    TO BE CONTINUED.....

Time to go to Burthorpe to trade in my task...

The dueling ring does not take me there. Noob.

Ah, games necklace... I know have some in here SOMEwhere.

I end up at the Burthorpe anvil. Noob.

I find whatshisname, and he gives me 30 Banshees.

So, I grab fighting stuff I'm familiar with still, grab my nosepeg, and head

    on out.

    Ouch. Nosepeg for Banshees? Noob.

I lick my wounds, heal my stats, and get the earmuffs.

First kill, mystic gloves. Jagex wants me back.

After the task, I see my bank is overfilling with junk, and decided to try

    out the Exchange thing.

Very cool, and i dump six junk items in the boxes, and prepare to get my next task.

Where the heck is the spirit tree now?

After losing energy twice I finally find it inside the the Exchange thingy

place, and realize it really hasn't moved. Noob.

I use the tree, and stare at Gnomeland.

Yeah, you use a Spirit Tree to get to Chaeldar in Elf-Land Lost City. Noob.

I go back, and head to the fairy rings. At least I found that easy.

You need a staff to use the fairy rings. Noob.

I get a new task of Iron Dragons. 30 of them.

I stand in a bank for 5 minutes, tickling the banker at least 20 times, trying to remember how to do this. Noob.

I actually dress correctly, with antifire shield, cash for Sarafew, and axe

    to get in.

I remember to use the black mask, antifire potions, everything... I did

    good!

Whoops. I get to the point where I'm ready to pot up, and realize that

    those are NOT antifire pots.

They are super restore pots. Noob.

Man, thats a long walk back.

With the black mask, all potted up, those Iron Dragons melt faster than

I remember. I'll never mage them again. Fun!

Fifth kill, dragon skirt. Yep, Jagex wants me back.

    I get a clue.

After the task, I do the clue, and get a Zamarok (forgot the name of

the robe thing that looks like a big tie). The luck has my eyes rolling.

My junk sells. On its own. Without me spamming World 2 and getting a

    headache. I love this place.

I put six more junk items in, and figure out how to buy Dragon Boots!

    Woot!

Next task is Abberent Spectres. Cool, I recognize these. I'm feeling

    better now.

And I'm shredding through them very fast, having fun. Feeling strong.

    Getting the rust off.

Two lava sticks, a mystic robe bottom, and a clue. Figures.

Next task is Nechreals. More slaughter.

First kill, rune boots. Uh huh. Of course.

I played for like six hours straight.

230k for a slayer level, and I'm not stopping until I get it. Level

    90.

Then I'm camping at Dark Beasts and getting that bow.

The bow that I've never seen.

    The Noob is Back.

    TO BE CONTINUED......

  10. Lightning, I don't know you, have never talked with you, but of course I know of you. You probably could say the same to me.

I just want to focus on one thing, and put all the other drama in the background for this post.

    The most important thing....

    THANK YOU.

Thank you for keeping TipIt alive when it was young and weak. My time in RS was HIGHLY enhanced by Tip It. And if it wasn't for you, that wouldn't be the case.

It has grown to be the best website on the 2nd biggest game in the world. It is no longer young and weak. It must be like watching a baby who almost died in infancy grow up to be a great football player.

Personally, I owe you great gratitude. I understand it wasn't JUST you.... But without you, we woudln't be here today. And that is undeniable.

    Thank you very much.

    Appreciation in buckets...

    Leesters.

  11. Blogcscape on here really gets some serious activity! Took me forever to find this. Thanks for trying to keep it bump folks.

It's been pretty boring lately... steadily trying to get to 90 slayer. I'm at 89, and have about 360k exp to go for level. Its a long haul.

But slowly, even though my clues have been junk, but still all level 3, and whatever else happened to add to the coffer, I had enough money to finish the house. A whip drop helped. Two really helped.

And when I finally got an item from a clue (guthix dragonhide top) I went to Fally World 2 and sold 2 whips, guthix top, 10k deaths, and 1k bloods.

And I put the Butler back to work. My house is now finished. Other than some minor things, (like a stuffed fish before the game dies would be nice) its completely redesigned and redecorated.

The cleaning crews have been paid, and here's some pics on the new house...

    i991041_garden1.jpg

I love the new double garden! And with the new room limit, I was able to add a garden outside the bedroom with the house completed dungeon entrance. That works!

    i991049_garden2.png

So, with six extra rooms, I now have a fully functional house. A complete dungeon, all skill rooms, and and entire third story of combat and play rooms.

Here's the dungon... It all worked out really well. You'll have to come see it first hand to see the full thing. Its loaded.

    i991057_Dungeon1.png

    And here's a glimpse upstairs.

    i991072_upstais1.png

I always hated the 20 room limit. This update gave me the opportunity to tear apart the house for the third time and redesign it just perfect. Cost me millions, but I got lucky with some drops. And I lost the Abby Demon head in the redesign. Oh well.

I still love it. I think there will be some events and par-tay's comin soon. Make sure you join the fun to see the full 26 room mansion! Woot!

Okay. I have to go back to Slayer now, don't I? Sigh.

  12. These questions only you can answer, grasshopper. The priorities given to these tasks must be assigned by you. Only you, grasshopper, can see which needs to be done first.

DT is vital. The reward is the best quest reward on the books. You see it to be so, grasshopper. You must learn to trust your own instincts guided by your wisdom, young grasshopper.

And if you lose your path, just use the Force. 0h wait. And don't forget about using the agility tickets for agilty training. Its really the only thing in that skill thats any fun.

Good luck. And the fire cape is overrated. First of all its really really ugly. Second, it takes lots of practice to learn how to fight Jad. So you have to waste 2 hours of your time, and dozens of your pray pots just to get a crack at him.

Obsessed? Get prepared with 100's of potions and do nothing except Jad until you get it. You'll need the fine tuned practice. Not obsessed? Save yourself the time, and get a skill cape.

    To me?

Jad = 2 hours of boredom, 2 minutes of stress, 2 seconds of death.

Just too boring and expensive to keep trying. I failed alot though. I am not good at switching prayer while doing the other things required.

  13. Hey master, thanks for the bump. Blogscape is blowing up. lol.

Aussy, as old as that joke is, now the new house design means ripping out the room with the abby demon head. So, I need another head of SOMEthing. And that would be my first choice. I'll take a hand right now. lol.

What's your method of temple trekking? I'm trying to get the full lumberjack too, but I've been stuck at 5 boots for five days now. I take the yellow caped people with the hardest route so the rewards are good, and I wear my prayer-beast equipment because I don't want to risk anything. I believe that I use less cash in prayer potions than I would use on food if I didn't pray.

It's weird that there aren't many temple trekking guides out there, even when the rewards were boosted and many people try to get the lumberjack clothes. :-k

    Ah, a trekking discussion.

Okay, so I take the hardest dudes the hardest way. Just because I want to make sure I get the most events possible.

But its super hard. Miss intercepting a shade after your friend, and she can't even eat fast enough before she's dead. Doesn't even drop the food you gave her. What, did the shades pile jump her? Figures. That's pretty funny. Anyway....

So I like your idea of taking easier dudes, but keeping the tougher routes. At this point I don't care about those hard/hard rewards. They are substantial though.

And the lumberjack drop is random. You'll get one every time you get the event, which for me, is hardly ever. Boots seem to be most common. Then gloves. Then legs. Then the "rumored-to-be-rarer" shirt. I have boots and gloves. Have only had five lumberjack events on hard/hard.

Will try the easier companion, but keep the harder route.

Do you think the easier companion lessons the amount of events the route will give you? Hmmm. :-k

I didn't chance it when I went gung [garden tool], but getting those whimpy civilians get killed by 6 shades is impossible to beat.

Thanks for the tip. I'm gonna try the easiest dude and the hardest route. I might have a blast that way. :)

Oh, and I think the best way to do this is balance food and prayer. And remember to restock each at each stop. (Food at Burger bank, and prayer at the temple, if you have the agility for the fence. If you don't, noob it up.)

I use veracs (pray bonus) and the best whip/str bonus offense I can lace up. Bring a pray pot just in case, but try to make sure I use half on the way up, half on the way back. My silver weapon is well tested. Tried the blessed silver sickle. It blows. Tried the Darklight. It blows. I use the Rod of Ilveraoragh or whatever, and it still blows, just not as badly.

Oh, and Force was on game, and told me he got two bows at Dark Beasts on wild pies, so I took a break and went down there and slashed them up a bit. No luck yet, but will probably burn the extra wild pies I have. Didn't play much at all.

Even if I get a bow, I will keep getting slayer up. My focus is getting all stats at the decade mark. On the board there are two right in the middle. 71 agility, 81 herblore. I might make and exception for those.

Those are special numbers for those skills. And no way am I slaving my free time to raise 9 agility levels. I'd rather clean my sock drawers irl than do that. And 81 herblore is too special too me. It was always the ultimate goal.

Anyway, thanks for posting on this, I know nothing story-worthy is going on right now, but it helps keeping it out of page 4. Which only takes like half a day. Sheesh.

Happy goal getting! Right now I'm trying to finish Rainbow Six : Vegas, so RS is minimal.

  14. Phew. A long read, but it was worth it, really. I love reading your stories.. 3 Hit ftw! RSC was awesome..

Good luck on getting 90 Slayer, see you haven't gotten too distracted yet.

Not too distracted yet. I did alot of fishing, and even made some tuna potatoes. I really must have cannonballs for the tasks that need it, and I don't wanna waste money on it. Temple Trekking sounds better than mining coal. And hopefully the lumberjacks will think I'm okay.

    Thanks. :)

Hey Lee! You can add me if you'd like, I dont mind maging on DK trips if I have the time.

And the Kings keep calling and calling. :-s

Thanks Fastforce. This thread is a DKer magnet. Hehe. Nice blog, amigo.

    Off to do some trekking!

  15. DK!

Don't know if you remember, but shortly before you had your break, I suicided for you, and you got 3 axes and a warrior.

May we see a bank pic, as you said you'd give one once you'd finished duping your bank again?

Actually, that magical trip had 4 axes and a warrior. And I was barely half way through my supplies. They just kept dropping. It was amazing. Ah.... the beauty of it.

And the Kings keep calling. :ohnoes:

  16. Okay, now that we've given everyone time to get something to eat, I had had some progress in the game.

It's really neat playing on 99. When the last update hit, my lag there was insane. Everywhere really. So I played "best world" button and plagged through it. (I like the new word, its not a typo).

Logged on to 99, and attacked the slayer skill, which is usually a fairly solitary affair. But on 99 I always found instant friends on my trek to 89 slayer. It's so cool when you walk into a room and the guy knows your name.

I was finding all the tipit.ers. And in some instances, they came and found me.

I strap on the boots tight and prepare the long sled of 100k slayer experience. These next three days will be focused. I won't be idle, and usually hidden in some monster room.

Dagganoth task. Sigh. The Kings are calling me. More on that later. Anyway, I scrounge up 500 cannonballs by skipping the much needed and cherished smithing exp, and buy some. Lazy RS1 product. Hmph.

I show up, and dang... This is the fastest cannon room in the game. 30 cannonballs fires in seconds here. Some guy says "Nice!" "Neat idea." Must be very new. In the corner, I get the HYT that makes me a feel a little... weird. "Omg its leesters". I wince and smile. He says he reads my guides. I think to myself how far past the guide writing days are. I smile again, and respond to something but he leaves the area, so he probably thinks I"m rude. Great task. 4 snap seeds, some others, and a good chunk of fast exp. No more cannonballs.

Jellies is next. Very happy. Jellies always gives me a relaxing affect. They're easy to kill (wear dragonhides) and choke up clues. And most importantly, they're pretty fast exp. It's late, and I log-out in the Jelly room after a few put-me-sleep kills.

Logging in gets me to a pair of tipit.ers, as I get the "HYT Leesters!". This one is my favorite. Simple, jolly, and makes me go "Hey!". We chat around real nice for a great bit, and I'm hitting like crazy. Mowing through them, quite fun. One dude is desperate for a rune large, and looking for a story, I promised him a rune large drop before I finish my task. That story never wrote itself, meaning I lied to him, and I didn't get a clue either. Dang. More exp than I thought, though. Wow, I'm getting there. Having fun!

Fever Spiders?? Uck! Well, wait, they're instant death, and have decent hits. Another monster walk, but mindless training, and I am desperate for ranaars. They only drop one thing. Usually nothing. But once in a while a ranaar. I still consider trading them in. Too much effort. Just suck it up, noob, and take your task as designed.

Bam. 24 and dead. What? They have 24 hits? (I think that was the number) Oh man, I was hoping for at least 50. This is going to be slow. Oh well, just pound through them quick then. Finally one drops the herb. Even with the new monitor that does NOT look like a ranaar. The words don't lie. This herb is a Kwuarm. Bleah! Oh well.

After some hypnotizing mindless clicking, I get startled by my name being shouted. "Lee!" I go "Eep!" and say he scared me. He says HYT and welcome back, and then asks me where to get the thingamig for the whatchmacallit on this quest that I haven't done, or thought about, for years. I tell him to check the TipItathinger. And he sends himself on his way.

Now, the Kings start calling again. From far away. Soma and coordinate a duo attack on my PM. They want to go kinging badly. And I was the needed teammate. I did not want to King right now. No way. Slayer exp is too slow. I have to finish this level. I'll have one more huge level that I can take some breaks on.

But they escalated the attack plan. Being outflanked by multiple messages at once from both of them, I let them gather information on my position.

    I was ambushed.

Soma and show up as I'm hawking my experience coming close to sparkle time, walk in the medium Kalphite room, and whack me with their rubber chickens. (Gosh dang it, why did I skip that event? NEVER EVER skip a holiday event. You can never get them back. The eternal blank spot in my costume chest will forever haunt me.)

They have come to great impressive lengths to get me to go to the Kings. They have planned to camp out by me (keeping me company was so cool) until I gave in.

Man. The Kings are calling hard.

I start to give in. Okay, well, geez, I have some good friends desperate to do something, and they need me to do it. And its not picking flax, thats for dang sure. Its fun. And its profitable. And I'm thinking about it, even though I have the lowest stock of food in my bank I have ever had. I think I had more food when I was level 17 running from a man, after the RS1 three-rounds of combat rule, hoping he doesn't three hit me. "3hitme" makes more sense if you know RS1.

I must fish. But they came all this way. I tell them I'll go. But I can't mage, because Rex's new moves turned the tables on me, and I don't wanna learn something new and break off the rust at the same time. I haven't been there in more than six months.

But I'm getting this level.... oh wait! Here it comes guys! And they line up and slug me with rubber chickens as I get the screen print!

    i965895_89sl.jpg

Okay, I guess I'll King. Its really late. I tell them a short trip. And then no one wants to mage. And I'm turned off. I really must fish. But I already said I'd go. Soma sucks it up and says he'll mage, but I know he doesn't want to. I'm getting colder and colder real fast. I completely lame wagon it, and come up with some lame wagon excuse saying I let someone borrow my Guthans and Veracs. Can't go.

Soma laughs. He didn't buy it for one second. In fact the dude, pulled out the chat file archives, and freaking quoted me dead on. I never lend out my high dollar stuff. No matter how good the friend is. It guarantees never to lose a good item, or turn a friend into a betrayor. No exceptions. And I tell friends this when they ask to borrow something.

He must have asked at one time, because he called me on it, by pulling out a verbatim conversation I had with him probably a year ago on the subject.

I come up with some more lame wagon (and you know you're a Tipiter when you actually replace "wagon" for "a$$" in all instances when you write) excuse about it was a super special friend, and he just is the cool friend that he is and tells me its okay, he can tell I'm not in the mood. Maybe another time. And smiles.

So I give him a lame wagon promise to go soon, and take my lame wagon to the fishing guild. There I meditate on my humbling honesty lesson......

    And lookie here!

    i965921_85fish.jpg

And woot! Three levels in one night! And now, I shall continue to prepare for the level 90 slayer.

    500k experience to go.

One last tour forever. (Until they have a 95 slayer monster, which I doubt will ever come)

I need cannonballs. With 9 levels of smithing to do to get to 80, I'll be scrounging ever smithing exp I can get. Every genie now goes on smithing. All quest lamps. Everything I can get. Why? EXP IS FREAKIN SLOW! Dang. I hate it.

I need pray pots for the new prayer.

I need to do the quest so I can get the new prayer.

I shall make myself a killing machine. And now, back to the fishing. I must stock up.

And please oh please... give me a big fish for the house.

  17.

This is what a true Pasty looks like~

(image of Arnie being pasty lover)

Only real men love them ~ Absolute Michigan food.

It is not a donut or a patty OMG!!! Lee you crack me up thinking it was a ketchup filled donut. Even Arnold loves them.

Stay away from the donuts tonight and get a slaying you goober.

Hmmm still trying to figure out what the heck is a bear claw donut is.. :-k

Lol. My apologies for calling your ... kebab.... a mutated pot pie. But, I shall continue to do so, because its just too dang funny.

And ketchup filled donuts is mighty funny too. lol. Hun, I was well aware that they didn't ship them full of ketchup! You gooblet. lol.

And I don't wanna hear anything from you about being ignorant about MPP's. (mutated pot pies. lmao) if you don't know what a bear claw is.

    Who's hungry? lol.

Egads, I live all the way over in Australia and even I know what a Pasty is!!!

Actually, I'm not all that keen on them myself, but we make a Spinach and Ricotta Pasty here that is to die for!! <3:

And Val what are you guys doing talking about food so soon after Lee's return, sheesh woman! Thought you would still be in your second honemoon phase! :XD:

    One word! Pancakes!

Edit: now Oreo is hungry!

Bah! How could you know what a pasty is all the way over there? Hmph.

I was talking to Oreo too. Hehe. Find the peanut butter?

And if we're ordering pancakes, I'll take extra strawberry sauce and whip cream. :) Well, thats more of a waffle thing, so you can just put that on the side. And if I forget the pancakes when I pick up the whip cream, don't disturb, please.

I thought you have been back for some time now? Are you just going public now or am I mistaken?

Anyway, good to see your blog again and run into the occasional green dot at miths and edge.

Using Ruby bolts for the first half, and diamond bolts for under half hitpoints.

Hmm, sounds familiar ....almost like I said it before

And yeah, anyone on the list knows I've been playing again for a few weeks. It took that long to fully evolve being hooked again. Good seeing you around too.

Funny, I had a convo with someone tonight that told me how to kill miths. Hehe. Funny how he said ruby and diamond bolts, with melee distance. Since he admitted he never even killed one, I think its unanimous and common knowledge the best way to kill these are. (Cannons don't work there. Gugge tried it.)

Are you going straight for 90 Slayer, or working many skills at once?

Omg, stay on topic, will you? Oh wait.... 8-)

Yeah, pasties aside, I'm working slayer until I get 90. But I'll be breaking it up with trips to Mith Dragons, money making ventures, and Temple Trekking. But since those aren't skills, technically...

i saw you in edge tried to hyt you but you didnt seem to respond -.-

Sorry. :( Its hard reading the chat in Edge bank. And if I have my head in the bank, you could pummel me with a rubber chicken, and I'd never know.

I try to HYT everyone back when I hear it.
