  1. Well, greetings again! I'm gonna keep this blog alive, because somewhere in here is awesome instructions on how to post a pic, so...I'll need that. Hehe. I had an interesting thing happen. *posts pic of level-up graphics, showing 98 slayer* So, it hits me... wow, only one more level of combat. Unlike most of my fellow elders, its my favorite part of this silly game. I'm 99 hp, att, str, def, mag, range. 136 combat level, not 138, but its because of summoning and whatever other garbage they put in the combat level formula. But after this slayer level, It'll just be wasted xp. Hmph! Well, gotta finish it up with a bang..... Gotta get 96 herblore for Overloads. Check. (Wow, that was a CHORE!) Gotta get 95 prayer for that new prayer. Check. (Thanks, hacker, for burning my 4k dragon bones on my character! Was not looking forward to that!) Gotta get Summoning for unicorn. Check. Gotta get the best armor..... Uh... yeah... maybe not. Insane prices. Gotta get the best weapons..... Now, that's a little tricky. I really don't know much about new stuff. But it looks like the chaotic stuff is heads above, so I need the best stab weapon in the game, the best slash, and the best pound. 600k dungeoneering tokens later, and I have the crossbow, the rapier, and the CLS, I guess I still need the hammer, but I just might decline those tasks, as I'll have lots of slayer points. The thought of getting another 200k dung tokens revolts my soul. I'll never get the completion cape. 120 dung levels? Like 8 times my current exp level? No thanks! But I gotta get that hammer. Or do I? Or.... is there a better crush weapon?? Slayer tour ahead. I am going to be seeing all the masters, and reliving ancient assignments. First one was abb spectres. Holy Herbville, Batman! Much better than before. Better bring a BoB! Clues galore! I will be tracking how much money slayer makes me, and I killed some mith dragons for cash, but after one task, with all the clues, I'm at 3M gp profit. Task 1 - Abberent Spectres, Slayer Tower: Weak to slash, requires slayer mask, deadly if forgotten. Drops herbs galore, lots of level 3 clues, and some lava battlestaffs. Magic attack is much less wicked than it used to be, and can be managed without prayer for high level players. Still deadly for low to mid range level players. Can hunt without a task. Keep you clue finding gear on you.
  2. The last time I went to Dag Kings was maybe 3 years ago. Have there been changes since I've been away? lol. I have a feeling its gonna be completely different, I trip over my noobie shoes, and leave a gravestone I am stressing to get back to, only to die again. You know, I'll do a couple suicide trips.. just to get a feel of 3 years worth of changes, and let you know. As for the SGS, I'm mining rune to make cash. TONS more rune miners. Back in my day it was pretty rare to have 85 mining, or whatever it takes to mine rune. But they're still great cash, at just over 10k per. A load with a turtle, over a million. But what a daunting number. 100 million. Have been mining rune like crazy (so much of it out of the wild now, but lots of competition) and I'm still only at 8 million. I know, its only been like 2 days.... but....... Getting 92 million mining rune is not a fun thing to think about. I guess I'll work on my DK skills. It will actually be fun to do some suicides down there. You still keep three items when you die, right???? lol
  3. Yeah, seemed too easy, right? Well, I just seemed to forget about one of my favorite weapons I used before the hack... Sara Godsword. Yep, still need my SGS. Wow. Bummer. They are like 100M in GE. Yep, gotta replace the SGS. Maybe some of my old boss hunting buddies wanna see about getting lucky, and try for a hilt drop. I got the first one as a drop, but I'm so scardey-cat over all the changes, I"ll probably walk into the room and go... What the heck is this?? I don't know if they fixed the solo-ing. You could stand behind a certain rock, and just long range the boss. It was very easy... I was doing like 10 per trip. Did they nix that? Anywaaaaaay......... I got a big item to get. THat's gonna take a long time. You were right. That was too easy.
  4. Wow. Torstal is a goldmine. When your slaying, there are assignments for guys that drop the seeds. Not that rare, for some guys. And since its the highest level herb, (is that right still? I've heard alot of herblore coming back... well lets just say the chatter I hear I don't fully understand anymore. I have heard there is a new herb as well. And the different farming locations I haven't even been to yet. Anyway....) So... I ask the question on elders chat about an herb that is just insanely over priced right now, and that rumor is why I was at GE. Someone mentioned Torstal, and my first thought was "no, that wasn't it. I'd remember that one", and then elder ones started talking about the prices on it. So I had 28 torstol seeds, and 43 herbs. Just from saving them up as drops. Never even knew what potions they made. Just been banking them since they came out. plopped them in GE and wow... So yeah. 8.6 million for the seeds, another 1.6 for the random herbs I've been keeping, and that price I got for the seeds.... was almost exactly how much dragonfire shields were going at. As you can see, I pulled the trigger, and have a DFS again. And absolutely no more torstol, except the bank marker. But..... That's much better. Much much better! I feel whole again. Seriously. I feel whole, done-kinda-whole. I'm gonna search this blog for lists of things I needed, because I really feel done. I feel rebuilt. Is it true all I'm missing from before the hack is about 43M in cash? All items replaced, party hat excluded? I'll have to comb through the blog and see if I listed stuff I needed early on. Rebuilding this thing was sooooo much easier than I thought. But dragon plate was 8M, for some reason, I thought it was 48M. The DFS was an herb I have no interest in I had laying in the bank. The dragon gear donations were unexpected, and officially the coolest part about this little adventure. Ya'll made that part of this blog very cool, very very cool indeed. Dragon weapons were all taken care of by ya'll. I didn't have to replace a single weapon, except breaking one of my rules about not taking free stuff. For those of you who randomly wanted to give me something in the past, might have gotten the "I don't take stuff for free" speech. I drew an exception on this adventure, and it was the most rewarding thing about this blog. Still trying to figure that out. #-o Okay, new goal is just get the 50M cash and the account is recovered, minus the party hat. ( Man, that was the happiest thing about coming back. Seeing a red phat I got ages ago being so freaking expensive. But I always said I never would have sold it, and I never would have. ) So, I am so close to 99 slayer..... ...and I'm a little bummed out, because I thought I was closer. :D What's gonna come first..... 99 slayer or 50M? *edits* Oh yeah... gotta replace the fury.
  5. Wow, an onyx is 2.7M tokkul. No wonder it was worth so much. Raping my own bank. Shame on me! Thats gonna take forever to get.... easier to just make regular money and buy it that way. And that's buying it BACK. They are like 9-10 M at GE price. I feel like I cheated. Just another thing I need to get back now. Oh well, its lower on the importance list, so I'll just add it on the list and enjoy the full dragon in the meantime. I rarely used the dang thing anyway. Bah. Shame on me. Gonna punish myself by fighting the horde at the rune rocks today. In full dragon. :P
  6. Wow that was easy! Thanks! Still need to decorate the shield, and get my red phat back. (lol on that last one... unless someone has 1.3 billion laying around :P) Okay, nice to know how to post a pic! This blog will get much more colorful now. :D
  7. Awesome! Thanks! I'll see if I can post a pretty picture. Thanks for the info! Gonna go see how long it takes me to figure it out. :P
  8. Glad to see you are back :) If you plan on smelting a lot of addy in the future, maybe you should do some dunging first and buy a coal bag? There are also other dungeon rewards that are handy for skilling. The gem bag to hold your gems when you mine (and if you look at the current price for uncut diamonds, you do want to pick up and sell the ones you stumble over), the scroll of efficiency to save bars when you smith (but mainly work for multibar items), scroll of life and scroll of cleansing for herblore and farming benefits. Wow. I actually have a coal bag. lol. The thought never occurred to me to use it while smithing. That will come in handy when I do the pile of mithril I have. Thanks guys! I might just do those now. I sold a fury ammy I still had, and got my dragon plate and legs decorated. Hated to sell it, but I will add buying another onyx as a goal. I have like 130k in tokens or whatever they're called down there. Will have to read up on onyx. I'll let you know what I do, as I really don't have a plan. Off to the game!
  9. Wow. I seemed to forget how long it takes to smelt 300 addy bars. You can only do four at a time, and it took me all morning to get half of them done, and all night to get the other half done. But, I have almost 1000 addy bars now. I wonder if its going to take as long to smith them. :P We'll see. Its 10pm on my clock, and I'm gonna get started on them. Think I should do the feathers? Thats gonna take a lot of feathers, and I'm not sure what GE prices are for each. Will let you know. :)
  10. Hi folks! I wish I knew how to add a picture, because I look pretty good in my new dragon plate and legs. Yep, Valerie donated dragon legs, and I used up my cash to buy the plate for a measly 8M. I have 1.4 M left, and now I'll be working on getting the shield and trimming for the plate. The trimming isn't cheap, and the shield will take a little as well. And there is three rune rocks in the mining guild dungeon entrance, so I'm gonna farm rune rocks today. I have 978 addy ore. Which needs a ton of coal. I started mining coal, then found the rune rocks, and quickly figured out I should just mine the rune, sell it, and buy the coal. Although the coal bag and a turtle was kinda fun, 6k coal is alot. lol. I'm going to make a ton of addy bolts which should make a tidy little sum. Might take me awhile. That's a lot of smithing and smelting, but I'm looking forward to the cash it will bring. I also sold some runes and traded it for bloods, deaths, and laws. I had huge piles of runes to dip into, so I sold like 500 of each pile and that got me going. I didn't want to rape my bank for this, but I'm finding it hard to resist. lol. Okay, busy day today making bolts. If anyone wants to offer posting a pic for me, I'll email you the screenshot. Sooooo happy to get the dragon plate and legs! Thanks Val! Still need: DFS - about 2M in GE Dragon sheild - about the same Ornaments - 5M or so, almost as much as the dang plate itself. lol And I want my cash pile back up. 50M when I got hacked. Lots of work to do! Very excited about that big pile of addy ore! This will be the most I've smithed in years. Maybe I'll get a leverl. :D Stay tuned to see how much money 978 addy ore makes!
  11. Val! Glad you made it on the blog! :D And...Wow. If it was ANYONE else, I'd say that's too much. And don't worry about me leaving. I still have a party hat to replace, and its only worth like over 1 billion gp, now... so that might take awhile. :P And yes, we will dung together. I'm such a noob at it compared to you, but I learn fast. :) See you in the game!! And for everyone else, thank you for your generosity! But I'm gonna have to put a limit on the gifting. Keep your goodies! I'm in good shape. Thanks again! ........ Okay, here we go. Day 2, and with great news on the dragon plate, I should have that in a few days. Then I will have to start working on DFS, I really miss that guy. Stay tuned! Today, I'm gonna smith what I have, and start the long haul of fighting big scary monsters for cash. Here's hoping I don't die! lol
  12. Omg, that's great news! And yes, I will be getting the gold trim ornamental. Wow, I'm soooooo much closer now.
  13. Okay, this is officially a cool community. I had visits from all kinds of Tip.It.ers. I still haven't gotten to Mith dragons yet. But i had visitors. all bearing thoughtful gifts. I have fish again. I have a decent shield. I have a whip. Thanks guys! I'll take the time tomorrow to find the paper I wrote your names down on, and give you proper credit.... or go into RS and look at the history... but tonight I'm exhausted, and can't find the page I wrote you down on. Still didn't get to Mith Dragons. lol. Hacker took all my sharks, so I had to fish tonight. Thanks to QueenValerie for cooking all my sharks without burning one. Impressive! 99 cooking is worth it! Although I didn't get any loot from hunting, I got sme from my bank. I really didn't need 15k mind runes. I really didn't need 300 bunyips, or 200 war turtles. GE was my best friend tonight, and my bank is up to 7M GP. Tomorrow I officially thank the guy that gave me 400 swordfish. Tomorrow I officially thank the guy that gave me a Tok-et- shield and a whip. Tomorrow I go through the blog and officially thank all who visiited. Oh, and I have Barrows sets! Veracs, Guthans, and Ahrims. Full sets. The bank was such a mess they were hiding :) And my runes are only missing Laws, Bloods, Deaths and.... Water? He took Water runes? The saddest part is he took my pile of 300k rune essense, so making them again is going to be a chore. At least he only took those though. But he took ALLL of them. :( So, I have 7 M, some weapons and armor, and NOW I'm ready to make cash. If I make 1M a day, this blog will only last about a month before I'm back to where I was. I need 50M for my dragon plate. I think? I'm hoping for a DFS-half drop before this is over, or its going to take another month. lol I need my runes. I need my dragon legs Its a long way from over, but overall...an awesome first day! Again, thanks to all who visitied, and I'll track you down tomorrow. Ciao. PS. And yes, after I get some fighting under my belt, i'll be up for boss hunting again. I still play like a noob. :D I was asked to go to DK's today. I didn't even remember which boss room that was. Wow. Such a noob still! Then it hit me. Supreme. Teaming. Rex. Tough room! And I'm sure its changed since the days of standing in a corner and picking them off. I'll bet a dollar they're harder now. :P Day 1 - 7M
  14. Well, I got started today, and it was mostly being lost. lol. Amazing how much you forget about the game after not playing for so long. Mostly I just managed my bank a little, and managed to squeeze 1M GP out of moving some stuff I had in there. There was a clue in my bank, and wow, how those have changed. Totally new places it sent me to. I had to look them all up. The clue didn't give me much, but there will be many more. I always loved doing clues, and they were mostly very good to me. I'm sure they'll keep coming, and you'll get all the updates. Anyway, I made 1M, my daily goal. And a special thanks to Helios Gamos for donating some dragon weapons! I am ready to roll on some Mithril Dragons now, and maybe I'll shoot for another 1M tonight. 4.1 M GP Stay tuned!
  15. Hi folks! Yes, its Leesters. After years of retirement, I have been lured back to the game. It took my account being hacked for that to happen, but I'm back. This will be my recovery blog. The sad part is that I will never recover my red partyhat, but oh well. Nothing is more useless, anyway. The not-so-sad part is that I WILL recover my dragon plate, DFS, and the myriad of other things that were taken from me. My account was left at GE with plenty of junk still in my bank, plenty of valuables taken, and 3M GP left on it. So, thats a good place to start. This is my recovery blog. I want my dragon plate back. I want my Barrows sets back. I want my 50M cash back. I want my runes back. This is a blog about making money. It starts with a 3M cash, a set of rune armor, and a daily goal of making as much money as fast as I can. First thing I have to do is get my dragon weapons back. I'm gonna kill mith dragons until I get enough cash to get my weapons So, here we go! Updates on money made, items replaced, and adventures had will be coming. And to my boss hunting teams? Get ready! Here we gooooooooo!
  16. That is not a joyful walk for me. Each greater demon spawn is for different reasons. The one in Gu'Tanuth.... (OMG! I 've been gone for six months, and I remember the Yanille Ogre town's name?! Is that right? I hope I spelled it wrong. That is so not me.) The trapped demons are the only way to go for ranging or maging. The Brimheaven demons are the best ones for melee. Even IF the dogs attack you. Tip for dogs: (lol, here I go again.) Run through the map until the screen "loading" happens. Then pick a spot in there, and stay put. You have two options here. The corner in the back, where is there three spawns before you re-animate NPC attacks, and right in front of the stairs where the whole area is safe for re-animation. In a few minutes the dogs will stop attacking. Just don't get greedy, because if you move more than 3 clicks on your map, you'll reset your dogs. If you don't load the screen, you'll be all happy with dogs ignoring you, go a bit too far and load the screen, and now you have 10 more minutes of dogs. I like to get it over once and done. Of course, now since my combat level has been cheated by summoning, they don't attack me. I had a license plate that said 126 FTW. Hmph. Summoning blows.
  17. Very nice guide :) I came here looking for a rock lobster safe spot. Looks like I'll find it on my own by running around the room looking silly for awhile. Its just a shame no one will be there to laugh. :P My only request would be to finish the rock lobs. Its the best way. It should be detailed. Maybe I"ll take some screen prints. :) Edit: Actually, since I"m a noob again, I'm gonna see about re-introducing myself to the Waterfiends. I am going to test both anti-range and anti-mage with the best equipment in the game, and see which is more effective. I'll report my findings. I do believe that decked out 99's will do better defending against the range, rather than defending against the mage. I"ll let you know. And if anyone can tell me where a safe spot for barraging in Rock Lobbie room, I'd appreciate a screen shot. Woot!
  18. Hey chenw.. Thanks for taking care of the Pinkies. This one is dear to my heart. I'm smiling proud and happy. You did good! The new AOW looks great, as well, crewbies! Great job! First time I've logged on in many moons, and I am just so thrilled with the forum. If there was one of ya'll around to kiss when I saw my "old index" still a sticky, you would have gotten a sloppy one. I think I'll go read the Cannon Noob story again, because I feel like a TOTAL NOOB bumbling around this game. Did you know there's a circus in town? I sure didn't. Until I saw someone with a RED CAVALIER!!!! Woot! A what? Ringmasters hat, eh? What that? Circus?????? Oh my. Anyway.. had to log on, and post this, bcause it really made my night. For you crewbies that are newer, this ex-crewbie had great passion for the Archive of Widsom. It all started with one post, that became a sticky, that blew up into a forum of guide writers. So, I was thrilled to see how sweet it looks, and all of Tip.It's player guide writers are impressive! Its evolved alot, and its been taken care of. Thanks to Pokemama for nurturing it while it had no one assigned to do so, and for the good work of you folks that were. *sniff sniff* Thanks Tip.It. Shh. I wasn't here. :P
  19. In England, a few years before they built Runescape, a very high profile video game was released for the new X-Box system. Not the 360, but this was when the first X-Box was new, and everyone was playing Halo for the first time. Soon came the game called "Fable". And if you've ever pllayed it, it has a very Runescape feel to it. Bowerstone, and its barber shop, is eerily like Lumbridge. They have a Hero's Guild. Tele spots, quests, thieving, range, and magic levels all make up Fable. And of course, the game never ends. Now THAT is Runescape. When you play the game, you get the feeling Runescape was made by people who are Fableheads. There are some differences. There is a night and day. You can be evil or good. You age. Shops close. You get married. You have sex. You can get drunk. It's really quite the hoot. The game's storyline is maybe 20 percent of the games total content. After you finish the quests, beat the bad guy.. twice..there are minigames to master, hidden quests to complete, and a treasure trail to follow. And of course, the need to keep playing until you get all 99's keeps you going. And the best part of this game, is you get to own real estate. If you kill the owner of a house, his house goes up for sale when he dies. You can make characters follow you. The women will all follow you anyway. Take them somewhere away from the guards, and one spell kills them all. And when you buy the house, now you own it, and get to collect rent. Of course, I own all of Albion. Anyway, It's an exceptional game, but its very old. Until now. In the age of XBox360, and XBox Live, October 2008 will bring us "Fable 2". Now, the tides have turned. The two most successful British games are playing off of each other. Now, Fable 2, will have a familiar. A dog will join you. You do not control it. But as you define your character, the dog will reflect you. If you are evil, your dog will look scary. If you are charming, your dog will be friendly. Runescape HD has become Fable 2. They almost look like the same worlds. Now, Fable will be online. You will be able to pull in a friend's "sphere" into your world on XBox Live, and give him a sword, a brew, and he can interact in your world, which saves all progress. If you kill the traders in town, later in the game, it will be a ghost town. If you buy supplies from another trader, his profit from you will promote growth in the area. If you get married, and have sex without protection, you will have many many children in the game. If you never get married, the population of that town starts to dwindle. And get this.... If you die.... You die. And you take over the game as one of your own children. As a level 3. And your quest will wait till you regain the levels you need to continue. The world size of the game is actually compared to Runescape saying it will be double in size. They are bragging that is the most lines of code used in any game to date. Your character develops level, evil vs good, and charming vs ugly. You age, and your world is only a fingerprint of how you've left it as you've played it You will find me lost in Albion when this game is released. And I might even get XBox Live for this. Just don't tell my 10 year old. Runescape has run its course. I can't play for more than a week before its just the same old stuff. Leveling anything is to the point where its not even fun anymore. 99 doesn't mean anything. Before the cape, it meant nothing to me. I got 99 attack just from playing. You will too, if you keep playing. It just happens. Getting 85 mining is another story. It was a goal for years to mine rune. Why do I need to click a rock for 800k exp for 86? There is no point. Or working your wagon off to be able to craft your own glories. Now I have. I make as many as I want. Why do I need more levels? For me, its never been about the levels themselves. Its always been about achievements. I worked hard to get to make my own sara brews. I grow my own herbs, get my own nests, and buy the stupid vials. I surely am not motivated to spend hours clicking on vials and picking up snape grass to get another level. That's why I played for six years. I can go down the skill chart, and I accomplished everything I ever set out to do. I can craft black dragonhides. I can fletch magic longs. I can mine rune. I can cast every spell. I can wield every bow. I've fought every boss, and reaped every reward. There are new skills yes, new achievements I'd like to make. I"d like to get my Summoning to the pony. I don't even care what level it is. When I can make the stallion dude, I've reached my goal. The big Titans are just a luxury. The healing horse is the ultimate for Sum. I'd like to have certain things for my house, and buying a flatpack is cheating. I'd like one more room, and I need level 90 to get the things I want. I don't care about the number other than its the level needed to get my achievement. And alot of this game for me was my bank. You've heard my stories about bank duplicates. 2 dragon chains, just so they stay in place. Crazy freak! If I could afford 2 party hats without giving up my SGS, I'd probably have it done by now. I was always playing to complete sets, get this item, get that item. I'd still be working for a full set of Armadyl still. There's a problem here.. The the fact is.... I have a bank that is worth over 700 million. Thanks to my old DK buddies letting me in on the Sara Solo Spot, I have a full set of god stuff. Two solo hilt drops worth 100 million each will get you pretty much everything you want. A few saraswords were always welcome too. That's reall nice and all.... But I surely don't have anything to work for anymore. I could just have fun and kill Commander Zil with the many boss hunters that beg me to join them. So, we go there, slave the process as long as the team is committed to stay, and hope we get one drop that gives me more of something I don't need. Money. Not appealing. Runescape has come to the point where I'd rather go swimming, play darts, watch a really nice TV, play a wicked gaming system, or just hang out with my brothers. And now that my bank is TOTALLY TRASHED, I can't even force myself to play. My bank was years of evolution. Changing the bank from 8 items per line to 10 items per line has turned Runescapes most organzed bank into a first class headache. And then I tried making tabs. The headache became a migraine. Barrows set is 3 lines of 8. Now its just uneven, like everything else. I evolved my entire bank around 8-lines. 10-lines is just gross. I now regret that I didn't get a final bank pic before they did that mess. It was perfect. Now its a disaster. So, my fellow Scapers, add Leesters to your XBox Live friends list, and when I actually get XBox Live, expect to see me in the Fable 2 section. Come join me. Join my world of thriving towns and realtor tycoons. I'll be rich, and all of my assetts will be more than welcome to your presense. Walk with me through my world of thriving towns, many wives, happy children, and healthy dogs. Because I have a new game to play. And I am going to perfect it. Just like last time. And if you want me to visit your world as your henchman, you can keep the loot, but I get all the glory. See you there. I will always keep members, just in case I wanna grow some trees, or dance with Dharok. But as an everyday player, I'm Signing off, Leesters.
  20. I think of a guy playing by science, I think of Oddfaery. On the way to 99, it's guaranteed that he will have researched and utilized the most effective way to do a skill, considering all angles. Personally, I just do what I like. If spinning flax was the most effective way to get 99 crafting, Odd wouldn't hesitate. Its the best way. Its how it shall be done. If I had to spin flax, I'd definitely go find an X-Box game or something. But I do believe it is important to KNOW the science. To research what can be done, what options are there. To figure out travel routes, side benefits from optional routines, economics of GE, etc. Find out what the best way is, see some pretty good ways along the way, and decide what's most fun for you. Making your own arrows from scratch might not be the most efficient, but it was a process you enjoyed to repeat, which made leveling fun. But maybe with a little science, you would have found some process you liked even better. With smithing, I started researching GE prices to see what was the most cost effective thing to smith. After seeing what was best, I found something I liked to do. The best thing to do for me is to DK, and spend the money on addy bars and power smith. This would be the fastest way for Leesters to cape-up smithing. Bleah. On the way, I found I really really enjoy taking all my rocking ranging equipment down to the avansies and power through them without needing food, prayer pots, or any supplies. With bones to peaches, I can kill literally forever. That is satisfying. How many bars can I get? How many hundreds of thousands can I alch? I love it down there. So, thats what I do. I get bored after about 400 bars, spend some money on some more, then smith them into addy bars, fletch them, sell, buy more bars, and repeat until I'm down to about 200 bars. Then I'll go get more. Some other day. Is it the best? No. Is it something I enjoy? Yes, and that means I'll actually keep doing it. And thats how you get to 99.
  21. I don't know, that dog's brain is about the size of peanut. lol. I can't train dogs. The dog kinda trained himself. He's probably training us, and we just don't know it yet. :P
  22. Here's an IRL update for anyone that cares. I have bought a house with my two brothers here in Phoenix. Its 170 here. In the shade. I'm sick of summer here already, and it hasn't started yet. Its been 115 solid all week. Thats about 45 celsius for you non-conforming.... oh wait.... What country do I live in where we can't even adjust to the rest of the world? And I live in a state that doesn't adjust the clocks with the rest of the world! Maybe I live in a town that doesn't adjust the thermostat! Anyway... Its a very neat house. Its a tri level, so its got three floors. My room is downstairs and is very cool. As in temperature. I'm an Arizona Cardinal fanatic, so my room is a Cardinal shrine. Also downstairs, is the family room, with a little wet bar, my bathroom, and a "sewing room", plus the big closet. Dale, my other brother, Mr GaDget, turned the sewing room into a hidden chamber. I swear to God. You open the door, it looks like a small hall closet. Complete with boxes on the shelves, and clothes hanging from the rack. Then you see some racquets hanging from the back, and pull them to the left. And a wall slides away. I am not making this up. He plans to keep the safe and all his Ebay merchandise in there. I've always wanted a hidden chamber! How cool is that? You are in on the secret! Don't case my house, please. Because guess what? I had a good check, so I became the guy on the commercial. I wanted a new TV. And I wanted it all. And I didn't check my credit card balance. I bought a 52 inch LCD HD 120Hz top-of-the-line flat panel TV and stuck on the wall. Matching gloss black table. Mid-line entertainment system. PS3 for the BlueRay. Hid the cords in the wall. Watching TV downstairs can be a religious experience. Video games are heart racing. WWII in surround sound can be quite intense. "Lost Planet" can make your eyes go dry. BlueRay disc is the most amazing thing you've ever seen from a television. That room will be gloss black, and deco will be high tech. Black leather couch. Soon. Their sectional is from the 70's. It's gotta go. Then there is the middle. In my apartment, it was decorated in old western. Had a saddle in the corner. Boots, and horseshoes, that kind of motif. So I did that upstairs. Looks great. Got a new John Wayne framed centerpice. Uh, he's an old movie star, kids. Kitchen is horrible. Its 42 years old, and the only update they've ever done is rip out the island. Thanks. So, I figured I'd do some pricing on getting my kitchen redone. Remember the first time you found out how much it costs to build a 99 construction house? Thats what it reminded me of. The kitchen will remain 42 years old. Dining room is now a work out room, decorated in Rome. Columns of marble and lots of mirrors. At least thats the vision, I've only set up the BowFlex. Kinda bummed here, thought I'd have room for multiple machines. I must have been thinking in Legoland or something. I can barely get another one machine in there. And ONLY if it folds up. Its got a really nice fish tank in there though. I can only us one machine at a time, right? Its nice to be roomy when working on bowflex, you have to work around it alot. But my vision was gone. Next time, I'll dream something other than Legos. Bro's are upstairs. My boy's room is decked out! I went nuts on E-Bay with Spiderman items. Go on Ebay, and search "Spiderman" in "Household Items". Ownership has its privelages. I DO NOT have to share a bathroom with those goofs. Now, I inherited a dog from Mystical who moved to Hawaii. She has a very special dog, and that's why I took it. I don't think I've met a smarter one. Wanna do an experiment? Put your dog on a rope, and wrap him around a pole. See just how stupid he is when you try to teach him the concept of unwrapping himself. I've had dogs my whole life, and I'm old, and I've never seen one who could get the "tied-up" concept. Taking this guy for a walk, and getting wrapped around parking lot poles, he learned it on the first day. And.. the dog absolutely hates cats. Or loves them. Loves to eat them, I should say. And he loves to fight any dog bigger than him. The bigger, the more he wants a piece. I won't mention the talking part yet, I'm in the middle of a story. Cats. Oh yes. Hates em. Sees one, and he'd break his own back to get to him. Well, guess what. My brother owns two cats. Now, I moved in first. Because that's how I roll. I move in 2-3 days tops, and put my entire life on hold, including work, to do it. My brothers do NOT roll that way. It took them a month to move. One load a day. Crazy. Sometimes, they'd come over with like five things. I offered them drugs, or advised them to stop their current ones. Something needed to change. So, my dog is adjusted in the new house now. He owns his backyard. He has established his patrolling area quickly, and had the meter reader stuck in a corner on his first week. I've never seen a man so terrified, and I've never seen that dog so fierce. As I come outside to see the situation, I really can't stop from laughing. The dude is behind the pool, and if he goes left, Cody runs and growls at him blocking him that way. Then when he goes the other way, Cody cuts him off again, showing his teeth and being as vicious as he can. I come outside and see my dog "herding" a human, basically, and laugh. "Hey, you having fun?" lol. "Omg, could you please please please call your dog off before he eats me?" Now I had to consider this. I am in no way going to tell Cody he is doing something wrong. Thats the best dang guard dog I've ever seen. Except the part for keeping him OUTSIDE instead of trapping him INSIDE the yard. But maybe thats exactly how the dog wants it. The dog probably lured him there. Was I talking about cats? Yes, I was. So, my brothers make their last trip, which includes two pet carriers of cats. Cody sees two cats in his kitchen and nearly chokes himself to death trying to get to them. It was horrible. He'll never learn. I'm going to have to segregate the house. One day I'm gonna come home, and Cody won't be hungry. Its going to be a disaster. I might have to call Sam and tell her she needs to take her dog back. I go to work, and come home, and my brother comes up to me, and tells me all is well. Huh? You mean everyone is still alive, I assume. No, he says, everyone is copasetic. Living in harmony. I'm like.. yeah, right. No, seriously. Cody has been trained. No, they're not sniffing poop together, but they are living together in the same house... without barricades. How in the world did you do that? Well, I just caught Cody when he chased, punished him, and said "No eating cats!". Yeah right. First he tells me that he had a little problem in the morning. The dog has learned how to open all the doors. I just look at him like, what?? Yeah, the sliding glass doors are useless. I can't stick him outside. Even the busted screen door. He opens them with his nose. He got good at it too, really fast. Geez. What did you do, put him the laundry rooms? Yeah, I tried. Then he opened those doors, too. They have levers instead of knobs, and it took him about 10 seconds to get them open. He used his paws for that. I had to tie the dog with his leash to the chair. Did he learn how to untie that, too? No, but I actually checked up on him to see if he did. But I found the perfect answer. What? I put him in the downstairs utitily closet. You mean like tied to the door? No, I put him in the closet, closed the door, and left him there for 10 minutes in the dark. Omg, are you serious? Yeah, worked like a charm! Instant fix. So after using the closet as a training tool to explain to the dog through trial and error how he's supposed to behave around living food he's not allowed to eat, now the dog treats that closet as his pen. Its a huge closet, as big as a small bathroom. So we have to leave the door open for him, since he hasn't figured out to open door knobs... yet. We're thinking about putting up pin-ups of poodles in there. Get him a reading light...you know, make it home. Just no girls in your room after 10pm, son. When the dog hears the world "walk" he goes nuts. So we started spelling it. He figured it out. So now, when he hears double u, he goes nuts. So, then we tried pig latin. Now, when the dog hears "aukway", he goes nuts. We've resorted to hand signals. Actually, we've just resorted to letting The Beastmaster take the walking duties, because I surely don't know how to walk a cat. Yeah, you heard me right. This is where it gets weird. I woke up like normal to take the dogs for a walk, and Mike apperently takes his dog for a walk, too. Very very early. So they were already walked. Cool! He takes them long, too. Cody's toungue was hanging to his knees. That was one happy panting dog there. Next morning, I get up early and look out the bottom floor window, and see the dogs go across the sidwalk. *blink* Then I see the leashes.... Then I see Mike walking them.... Then I see.... Cats following the pack. Yes, my brother walks cats and doesn't use a leash. So, I just sit there astonished as The Beastmaster takes his pack on his stroll across my window. Cody about breaks his neck looking back and forth. He is fascinated with those cats. That's allowed. Eating them isn't. No one is reading this anymore. lol. Anyway, to top things off, the dog is a furball. Golden Retriever kindof fur times 10. When I shave him once a year, he goes from fat dog to skinny dog. This time, they left a mane. And he has a fluffy tail, like a feather duster. His golden colored fur, fluffy tail, and mane.... Everyone... meet Simba. My CodyDog. Or maybe I'm just his LeeHuman. We might find out pretty soon. Stay tuned.
