Thanks everybody! Sorry I can't respond to each. Hehe. But, especially thanks to DRUM who sung me Welcome Back Kotter. Its a TV show from the 70's. He must be older than I am. Hehe. Well, I got to play for a few hours on Sunday night, and did pretty good on Slayer. It sure is slow, but it gets there. I had a good xp task of Kalphites, but its only good if you use a cannon. So, since Temple Trekking poured boatloads of iron and coal on me, I figured I'd make some cannonballs. That took way too long. Then, I got a Dag task. Perfect! I used up the rest of the cannonballs in the lighthouse. Very fast tasks there. Then, I got a Jungle Horror task. After chewing up my energy chasing those stupid things, I traded them in. I was quite sick of chasing those ugly things around for nothing but iron ore drops. You spend more time looking for uglies then killing them! Bleah! Burthorpe gave me monkeys. Greeaat. So, I tele'd to Monkey Island and got all beat up forgetting how nasty that place is. 15 monkeys later and half hit points later, I got a task of elves. Those guys are tougher than I remembered. The task is still going, and I'm down to about 70k for next level. Getting there! And the most entertaining thing that happened to me last night was a conversation.... Off of memory, here's how it went: QueenValerie: lol. I think I got Jakluman hungry talking about pasty's. Leesters: Ooooh, pastries are my weakness. QV: Oh, you should log in and order from (website here) Lee: Uh, so are they gonna ship it to me from Michigan? lol. QV: Yes. .........................*blinks. that was a joke* QV: Oh, and try it with ketchup, and let me know how you like it. ..........................*Ketchup on a pastry?? Omg, she's nuts!* Lee: Is there shipping? QV: Not sure. Check it out on the website. Lee: I'm sure there is. Lee: Ya know, I love ya babe, but I am not shipping myself a 20 dollar ketchup donut from Michigan. lol QV: Eh?? No no, you put the ketchup on it.. it doesn't ship that way silly. lol Lee: Yeah, I realize that, goober! QV: And its not a donut. lol. It has meat and potatoes. Its a meal. QV: And its Gooblet! :P Lee: WTH??? If you add meat and potatoes, its not a pastry! Lee: Now its a sandwich! O.O QV: Omg, its not a pastry! Its a pasty! Lee: Oh! Omg! What the heck is a pasty?!? Lee: For a minute, I thought you wanted me to airmail a ketchup donut from Michigan! Lee: I thought you were flat out of your mind! QV: ROFL! QV: You don't know what a pasty is?? I think all you eat down there is donuts! .... This continued for awhile. lol. Valerie has promised to post a picture of the infamous "pasty" that you can order from the internet, get shipped to your home from Michigan just in time for lunch. Next week. And remember, its not a donut! Its a donut with meat and potatoes! Ketchup not included. Egads.

Wow, how does she do it? The one thing I loved about Valerie's blog is how she responded to each post. I really wanted to do that. After starting, as you see below, I ran out of energy. I was moving up, so if you posted early, thank you. Especially that legend comment. When I hear that one, its a mighty cool feeling. And even more so when it gets seconded with a quote. *bows deeply* What?? We lost Wakka? Nonsense. We can't lose Wakka. He is in all of us. For every 99 cape we earn, he is in a way, a part of our glory. If you are a tipit'er, he is just part of us. If he really is gone, I shall take a canoe in his honor on each 99 cape I get. But... How is he lost? Did he quit? Hard to believe. Fill me in someone please? What happened to Wakka? No need to fret or frown. She needs not move over. I'm sure she'll chose to keep standing beside me. :) Hey, how cool was that? Someone with level 9 herblore who needs low level herbs is rare. You'll be 20 by tomorrow. And definately when Temple Trekking gives me hundreds of Tarromins when you're standing next to me as I happened to tele there must have been fate. :P Or maybe just good karma? Nice timing, nonetheless. And have fun leveling it. Its hard experience, but its the most rewarding skill in the game. Potions rule Runescape. And going from 10 to 80 is quite the journey. I got another pair of boots from a very hopefull and rare Lumberjack event, and was chastised by my 9 year old for cursing. lol. I logged on late and met some people at the bank, but had no energy or time to do anything, so I came on here and posted this. Next time I get on, I need to get back to the Slayer grind. My new task is Kalphites, and I hate them, so I stopped. I need to "just do it". I'll try to mix up the slayer and quest-for-lumberjack-clothes, and try to spend more time grinding out slayer experience than I do spewing bad language at pixelated shoes. Ha! On that note.... Well, it was just a matter of time. They do the same thing every time. Right when I'm getting bored with updates that kept me going and stop playing, they knock a couple new updates out of the park. Dragon Large? Dragonfire Shield? Mith Dragons? 30 rooms for my house??? Dark Beast Bow? Sold. I'm back. And then it happened. The goals re-evolve. 99 Prayer? Before I left, it was a strong goal. On my return, its low on the list. When I came back, Juna made me realize I'm only 4k exp away from getting my only skill under 70... level 70 runecrafting. So, I got the level, and looked at the bottom of my board. Construction 80 Farming 80 RC 70 And then it evolved. I am now going to get every level on the board at 80 or 90. (I despise RC. 70 is good enough) Starting from the bottom up. Right now, the bottom two rows are all at 80 or 70. Except for Slayer. Its 88. Hi Duradel. How ya been? Line me up some tasks, old pal, would you please? I'm going on a farewell slayer tour for my finaly level 90. One autograph per family, please. And then the house.... Because I'm such a nerd, the house design must be perfect. And with 26 rooms, I was joyful in the possibilities. I planned a full dungeon. I planned a three story house. Upstairs is all the games and combat rooms. Downstairs is a really nasty dungeon. The bad news, is I had to tear out rooms with millions of marble in it, and redecorate. Now, I have two teleport rooms, that need 15 marble blocks. Gulp. (If you said "Huh?", marble blocks sell for 325k each) I have to make money. Sounds familiar. Hi Rex. How ya been? I'll be needing a few of those pretty axes if you don't mind. Thanks. Now assume your postion. Rex, I said...Hey, where you going?! Uhh.... what the.... Rex!! What are you doing?? You have new dance moves! You're not supposed to go that way. Straight line please! Did you forget? No, did I? No. Of course not. Ow! You missed me, eh? Ow! You're supposed to stand still and be a nice.. OW! Okay, thats it... click. I'm outta here. One of many common moments making me feel like a newbie. There were too many conversations that had "Whats that?" in it. And I just found out they have Dragon Arrows now? So, we've discovered the missing dragon ore rock? Or do we cheat and use dragonstone chisels? And Hey! Whats this?? I spent a good dedication for sure to filling up my armor wardrobe in my house. And now there are three new outfits that MUST be added. I enjoyed Temple Trekking for awhile. Thats where you get the Lumberjack outfit. Did you know the full outfit impoves your exp when woodcutting? I need to get to 83 WC to 90. I'm gonna need that, and I collect everything in the house wardrobes. Hopefully one day, I can see them completey full. Anyway.... I enjoyed Temple Trekking for awhile. Lots of goodies. All of them for skills I need to improve. And I'm not talking dinky things here. Big rewards. Hundreds of bowstrings. Just from one reward. I have more silver bars than I ever have because of this game. And the things you pick up on the way. Way cool. Anyone need any Nail Beast Claws? Makes a really cool potion. I enjoyed it for awhile. Until I piled up 5 boots, 2 hats, and not one leg or chest piece to be found. Its like Rogues Den all over again. If I call you a nasty name online, I'm getting another pair of boots. But I will keep trying. I have to. So, this new game has me going to the Mith Dragons for the new goodies, all the other things I do to make money, and taking slayer assignments. 1) Mith Dragons - I'll update you on my trips. I'm getting better and better. I can do almost 10 dragons per trip. Ranging with uber mage defense and range bonus. Using Ruby bolts for the first half, and diamond bolts for under half hitpoints. 3 pray pots, 1 4dose range, and 1 4dose antifire. So far, nothing but ancient pages (4 so far, one was an add for Bob's Axes. lol) lots of rune battleaxes, but no dragon helm or shield thingy. Visalage or something? Visage? Visal? Whatever. I'm gonna get it. 2) Slayer is down under 100k for level! Woot! Its slow exp, but the black mask is such a huge help. Improves training speed greatly! When I get 90 slayer, I have to add Dark Beasts to the list, because there's a new "best bow" in town, and I have to have it. 3) I have a 10 million dollar buffer. I don't wanna go under that and make myself poor. So, I've spent about 8 million on the new house. 4 million I had, and 4 million I've made. I have made some more, have about 2 million of incomes, and I have 11k deaths now, so I'll sell 10k. Thats 3 million. So, I'm good to finish my marble house. Minor touch ups aside. Anyway... its nice to be back. If we were on each other friends list, and you deleted me because I was gone, I'd like to see you again. Nice to see you all again. I'm looking forward to writing about my new adventures. Here's one..... Trojann was on when I first logged on. Walked me through getting into the Mith dragons... Told me how to burn a log with a bow... I was just a blind man following. Here, jump in this whirlpool! Okay Here, come down here! Okay Here, get killed by really nasty green dragons and waterfiends that attack you against whatever you're not praying and hit for 20. Okaaaay! Here, take back your death pile. Whew. Thanks for this guide. I know have a clue, and shall stumble my way there. Very nice guide, too. Since this is new, SOMEONE is going to get a guide on this in the Archive. Might as well be you, eh? Since I still have no clue where the dungeon is, and how to get in it, that should be expanded, but covering all three combat strategies was great. Good work, and thanks again.

its a good suggestion indeed, but your missing one thing. if the whole team teleports and another team suddenly comes in, how can they get in the lair? (code) IF COMBAT:KINGS=0 >60 seconds = DOOR OPEN

Thats definately up there. Wakka's is up there too, but I think someone auto's on the views. lol. Valerie is going to have a very impressive one before too long, also. Everyone loves the blogs though, thats for sure. 60 pecent of HYT's I get come with "goodluck with 99 prayer".

I doubt its been "nerfed". Some trips are harder than others. Mostly I find it depends on the spino cycle. If they hide when you're idle, and blast you when your casting, they make it really hard. But if its the other way around, it goes real smooth. I haven't noticed a difference. Just remember that solo'ing rex is a slow process and you can't really get a consistant average killing a small number at a time. Over the long run, it seems to be fairly normal. I have a great idea on lurers. A team should be able to "lock the ladder" once their in. This would take luring out of the game.

Here's my votes. There are bests for different categories, not just total levels. Zezima doesn't count, because he doesn't post. His only posts were on his own interview thread, and the total level issue has been well covered. Ulovme, Trixstar, xpx, and whoever else I forgot...but these folks rarely post anymore. Wakka or Queenvalerie, not sure who has higher total. But what about other categories? Best DK'er = RSN is Ink Heart. Trembake I think is his HYT name. Inky is truly the master of Dag Kings. Best fire caper - Muggi. Is there any doubt? Best RS chick = QueenValerie. I'm a little biased there. ;) Best event holder? Hmm.. Too many to consider. Nathanich comes to mind. Best crewbie = Oddfaery. Quietly, he's doing some great work there. Pokemama gets honorable mention here. And Kiara Kat keeps it all going. Best videos - Trojann makes some great vids, I can't think of any better. Best storyteller - Thats probably me. Best blogs - Lol, way too hard to pick. Can I take a top 10 here? Best Sig - Sunli. Always loved it. Best guide writer - Just check the Archive. He does all the guides now. Very well done. Most respected - Queenvalerie and Wakka. Prettiest bank. \

This was a fun thread to read. Hehe. I only got about half way through it, but it was still quite entertaining. I'll give you guys some help here though, since this is such a hot topic. First of all, "The Editor" has not been one person. I know of three people playing the role during my short stint with Crew, as I had contributions back then. And, no, I won't deny or confirm if Leesters is a current "Editor". Compare writing styles, and speculate for yourself. And no, I'm not giving up "Editor" info of the past. You're supposed to ignore that RC thing. I"m trying to. lol I would rather pick flax than craft runes. And this time, thats no joke. Alas, runecrafting will always be Juna's job to train. I'll get it to 70, because a skill in the 60's stands out like a mud rune, but after that, bleah.

Still have some skilling left in me. Hunter to 80 shouldn't take too long. FM to 80 should be sooooo much fun. Construction to 80, also. At least the hunter should pay for that. I want those 70's off my board. 2200 dragon bones are gathering dust. lol

It was just perfect. I couldn't write a better script. It was my last threshold goal on the board. The only one left. Being able to fletch magic longbows. 85 fletching. The urge finally hit me. Its time. Now, I'm one of those old timers that likes to earn their own levels. I mine my own ores. I kill my own dragons. And hence, I chop my own trees. Well, it was painfully obvious, that I was going to have to avoid being stubborn here. Buy the logs and bowstrings, alch the bows, and start over. Its just the RS fletching way, beacuse chopping my own yew trees to get 500k in exp is out of the question. So, thats what I did. But when I got to the end, I thought it would be fitting to chop one load of of my own yew logs and spin one load of flax to get the level. I'm just like that. As Valerie was witness, I wandered out of Edgeville bank, and ceremoniously went to cut my load of yews. Bam. Nest. Wow. Bam. Magic Seed. WOW! One load of Yews. One load to level to magic bows. One seed to make my own magic tree. Perfeeeeeeect! I got my sparkle, admired the pretty "You can now make magic long bows" in my chat box, gave my bows to Valerie as a level gift, and went to plant my new tree. I planted it, and went to the bank to pay the farmer. It takes 25 coconuts. I had exactly 25 coconuts in my bank. Perfeeeeeeeect! What a perfect story. I shall never kill that tree in Falador park. Never. 99 Pryaer blog will continue again soon. As soon as I get to 78/80 hunting, 69/70* RC, and 76/80 construction. *levelnow/goal 71/80 agility and smithing can wait. I have bones to burn, baby. Not nearly as annoying as having one empty spot burning a hole in you costume box in the house. I'll take the jumping jacks for as long as he wants to show up, if I can just get that outfit housed.

Sometimes a hidden update will make me very happy. I've been waiting for a drill demon random event for a year now. He just never showed up. Have gotten the other randoms hundreds of times, but never that Drill Demon. My house is missing one outfit. Camo. But as some of you may have noticed today, the Drill Demon is out of hibernation. Time to do your exercises, players, because he's baaaack! I'm assuming there was a bug or program error that has been hanging around for awhile now taking the Drill Demon out of the random dice. I assume they fixed it. Thank you Jagex. I need my camo. Two pieces in one day. Did you get your camo today?

Lol. I've had the idea for a while. With all the Aprils fools threads, I had to really sell mine. I fooled some, didn't fool others. Was still fun though. :P

This went on long enough. April fools on the lottery. Yes, I'm going for 85 fletching. Yes, most everything else is true. Yes, I'm going to be playing less to spend more time with my son. But.... April fools on the giveaway. O:)

Its been six years since I had to run from a Varrock Guard. Six years since I killed my first goblin. Six years since my first death exploring the scorpions at the dwarf mine under Falador. Since then, I've reached all my goals. 99 combats. I can craft glory ammies. I can mine rune, make all the potions, burn all the logs, craft all the runes, slay all the slayer monsters. And I have acquired my red party hat. So now, Its time to move on. Its time to start being and adult, and be a better Dad. Some of my closer friends are aware of my plan to quit playing Runescape. Valerie is not pleased, but I will not disappear. But now its time to share the wealth the the community that has given me a place to call home. I have one goal left. I must reach 85 fletching to finish the goals. And this 85 fletching party will be the going away party with some big bang. I will be giving away all of my bank duplicates at this final party. When I sparkle, I'll be holding a drawing for giving away my duplicates. Sorry, but the party hat will stay on this character till its death. Some things that will be given away are dragon chain, ranger set, full dragon set, tresure trail specials, and of course everything in my bank, because I have two of everything. 8000 rc experience! Woo hoo! And you guys are complaining?? What do you want? Whips and god armor on every update? With almost weekly updates, maybe not having such high expectations for every one might help you enjoy them more. I'm jacked. I wasn't going to worry about a quest, until I saw that massive amount of rc exp. Like the woman said. Don't like it, don't do it. But I'm jumping on right now and doing the quest. I was too lazy to click on the spoiler tags, so I"m going in blind. Which will probably turn a 20 minute quest into a 2 hour I-need-thread?? quest.

Sorry for the lack of updates, but its been pretty boring stuff on RS. Getting fm levels is just not worthy of a blog. lol. And leveling RC is ridiculous. They really need an RC minigame or something. I still have a lot of work to do to get every skill to 80. FM is up to 75, and is super easy to level, but its not that important to me. My RC is only up to 68 now, and I just might be happy with 70 if I ever hit it. I did promise Met a trip to DK, so we had a very relaxing trip there for a couple hours, and got a zerker and warrior ring. Didn't see any lurers for the entire time, and it only got nasty at the end when the spinos got sick of seeing us. But I do have a nice story.... Last night, I finally decided to go join Valerie at Pyramid Plunder. I've never been before, so might as well give it a gander. As I'm instructed to open doors, the noob first selects the door that sends you back outside. Real smart there. It took me a full trip to figure out what I was doing in there, but the second trip went much easier. Val had me flying through every room until I got to the last one, and skipping all the rooms entirely. On the third trip, I said I wanted to get a sceptre, so I'm not going to skip the rooms, and just open every coffin before moving on. On my third trip ever through Pyramid Plunder, on the third room, I was startled. I was immediately placed outside, and my chat box filled with a picture of a Phaorohs Spectre. Val: "Someone just got one." Me: "That was me. I got the spectre" From what I hear, it looks like the Leesters Luck doesn't get much better than that. :P I love this thing. I can now switch from ancients with zero walk, and I have an agility course available with zero walk. It has earned a bank spot. Now all I need is its duplicate.
