i just went there myself, and there was only one other guy there. Actually saw him in a world switch, and we split the worlds up. Its still pretty vacant. I used minimum prayer items and boxed imps, and couldn't stand long enough to use them all up. lol. Got about 70 ore before I got sick of it. The boxed imps are made for this. I didn't have a problem catching them at the volcano. Wakka, you really should make this an all inclusive rune mining guide so this can go in the Archive. :)

It's still not fact, it could have been nothing but luck for those runes. Yeah, I kinda messed up that formula. I used number of trips instead of number of barrow items. 1000 was a good number for statistical proof. But you need items, not trips, to make the margin of error formula. I have not gotten 1000 items. lol. Besides, Jagex has said KC doesn't improve chances on an item. So I was wrong.

The resulting drama from this thread may prove to be more entertaining than the event itself. Hehe.

I wish we could see what the non-crossed off section is on your quest log, so we can see what you need to do. A little stumped, you should be able to talk to the tunnel dude, and then he takes your stuff and "enchants" them, giving you them back. Did you miss a step? Did you try all conversation options? Did you try using items on tunnel dude? Stumped here.

Unfortunately since you admitted to account sharing, I don't think you'll have any success on the appeals. Since you're getting an automated response, you're account as been probably tagged as "non-appealable" status. Nothing in the game stacks up like the pest control monsters. Dags will stand next to each other, so you might be able to hit 2 or 3 at a time. At pest control, the monsters stack up on each other sometimes 10 in the same spot, and more around them. Nothing matches pest control. If you feel guilty for not helping, spend your chompies on the dudes attacking the Knight. Or just go to a super busy world where they really don't need the help.

Kinda spooky this topic popped up today. I've been having some insomnia for the last three nights, and been having some really weird dreams. And last night I had a doozy. I was dreaming of runescape, but it was in real life format. I was dressing in Guthans with a group to get ready for Dag Kings. Had trouble putting on the skirt and dressing. So, I was dreaming in real life about runesape. It reminded me of a football locker room getting ready for a game. Was in my "house" and it was big in real life, but also was kind of cluttered in the costume room. In my dream my barrows outfits were in the "closet", and everything I needed was in there. And everyone was getting dressed and ready in my house. It was really weird dreaming in real life about runescape. The walk to the Dag Kings lair was like a freakin movie. First we all walked there in the outside, through big trees, a rocky road, and wolfs and critters everywhere. We all got on a boat, like a viking boat to get to the island. It was really cold and foggy. We all huddled together, and we were all worried about dying. There was no ring of life in this dream, and death was real. When we got to the island it was actually snowing. lol. Just like in the game, but like a real snow storm. When we got to the door, we had to break it down with a tree someone cut down, using the tree trunk like a battering ram. More Viking images. Going trough the tunnels there were big ol huge walruses maging at us and we were all grunting and sweating as we fought our way through with spears. Instead of damage numbers, blood would splash, and players would fall to their knees. It was kind of gory. Someone got killed, and getting his Guthans spear on the floor next to his dead body was really stressful. The dream wouldn't let me get there. Like running in a dream. Just couldn't do it through the fighting. Unfortunately I woke up before my mind cound work out the Dag King lair in "real life format". Its a shame too, because the path to the kings was quite the adventure in real life format. lol. When I woke up I was like... "Oh man.. I wanted to see the kings!" lol. Really really weird dream.

Questions: Can the experience lamps you get be used on range or mage? Has anyone tried the new weapon on kalphites yet? How does it hit? Are the new monsters worth training on? Whats on the drop lists?

Thats just a new release of an item that isn't hard to come by. 1) Its an easy drop to get from Choas mental, and more common from KQ then a dragon chain. 2) Its not a good item. Its slow, and doesn't hit much harder than a whip. This is typical of all new items that come in that aren't hard to get. Third age items is super hard to get.

You were banking during the blues, right? If you change your screen, your "random clock" seems to start over.

A common question is "Do I need to complete Legends to have a chance for a dragon half shield drop?" The answer is no, but you have to complete it to be able to use it. And certain monsters drop list is more likely to give a dragon drop. KBD is your best chance to get a drag med, for example Drag meds can also be dropped by Abby demons, Barrows chest, black demons, black dragons, Dag Kings, KQ, fire giants, and probably other things that I forgot. Dragon spears are only dropped by things that drop gems, and they are super super rare. Metal dragons are the only thing that drops drag legs and skirts KQ and dust devils are the only thing that drops a dragon chain KQ and Choas Elemental are the only things that drop dragon 2H. Nothing drops dragon weapons. There are no dragon boots... yet.

The fury is like a glory ammy, but adds extra defense stats all the way down the board, and adds another prayer point. The zerker ring just adds 4 to strength, and 4 to pound defense. And you can't wear ROW. Fury is a better item, but also twice as much.

Not completely. You get a gravedigger, zombie, and shade when you bury bones. You get the levers from teleporting. You get the beehive only when picking flax. There are certain things that get you certain randoms. I'm trying to find if there's a certain action that gets the Drill Seargant. I'm hearing that teleporting gets him. Since I always use glory to tele, then thats probably why I never get him.

I am trying to get the random outfits for my house. Where have you discovered you get alot of Drill Sargeant randoms that gives you the Camo? I have never recieved one. How do you get him? Also, where have you gotten alot of Mimes? What were you doing? If anyone has gotten alot of mimes, please post on how you get them. Please post your experiences if you've had success getting these two randoms.

I have been focused on randoms for awhile now. I am trying to fill in my house costume room spots, and have actually been hunting randoms. lol (And Leo is killing me! I can't get a gravedigger to save my life! Grr!) One thing I've noticed. If you stay in the same "screen", meaning you don't change the map with a "Loading.. please wait", you have a "random clock". You should get one about every 20 minutes or so if you don't change screens. If you do change screens, you won't get randoms hardly at all. I learned this when I was trying to get a Leo from Oeyrg bones. To avoid wasting xp, you have to run out of the area to bury the bones from this area. The screen would change, and I didn't see a random for hours. Many many bones buried. lol. Then I figured it out, changed my routine to stay in the "screen", and they popped up like clockwork. But please pop over to help and advise, and give me input on how you get certain randoms. I need some input, I'm struggling.

This is dead on. Although its not a discontinued item (meaning the price pattern isn't comparable) its still gonna be super hard to get into the game. Like the ranger boots, (robin hoods were affected by the release of similiar dragonhide coifs) prices on third age items SHOULD CONTINUE TO INCREASE. It just won't be as fast as the discontinued items, or won't experience the same price cycles. I think this is a great update for a great challenge. If you want third age armor, which is the best non-repairing armour in the game, you are really gonna have to work for it. And it sure adds to the excitement of the possibility of getting a 70 million dollar item from a clue scroll. :shock: :thumbsup:

So, whats the chances of putting the Events forum(s) in as a sub forum for Gen P2P? I think that's a great solution as I stated above. Sorry for the long read up there. lol. *points up to rambling and hides*

I should, but I forgot the password. Have a santa hat on that account, too. Wonder how much they're worth on RSC these days? It was level 100 when I raced the conversion. It was going to leapfrog my 100 threshold. I was going to go from 98 to 104 or something like that when RS2 converted. Unacceptable! Man that seems so long ago. How long was that, anyway? I've been playing Leesters for a long time. lol.

He probably didn't get hacked. A hacker would have walked his character to the bank and try to get in. And he wouldn't have taken the time to walk his character back to Fally death spawn spot. If you didn't actually see yourself log out, you probably didn't log out properly, stayed logged on, a random plant hit you, your ring of life saved you, then the poison got you. With the poison hitting you, I'm not sure inactiviy-log-out would happen.

Hey, 2 points is 2 points. Its all a value thing. How much do you value the cost? If you have 30 million in the bank, and have good "income" in the game, 200k for the cape is nothing. And it looks cool, so no biggie. Hence the cost of the cape does not have a lot of "value" to you. If you've never had more than 500k in your bank at any one time, its probably not worth it to you. Hence 200k has much more "value" to you than the 2 points. I have 99-capes. So, its not even a statistical advantage for people with a 99-cape. And the only reason I have one is to fill the slot in my cape rack. And there it shall gather dust probably forever unless I need it for an outfit. If you thought my bank obsession was silly, now I've gone and got all pre-occupied with filling my house wardrobes. Ever seen anyone spend their PC points on the clothes? *raises hand*

It really did shock me. I'm not just crying "my events are taken out of general wah wah" here. Events benefit the community. If they don't see the posts, they don't benefit. Its really as simple as that. And I'm not talking about just "my" events, here, either. But I know from running some good ones, that the users LOVE GOOD EVENTS. ~~~~~~~~~ Again, I want to reiterate that I'm not complaining because my events got put out of general. I'm concerned that the users won't be able to benefit from ALL events because they aren't visible enough. ~~~~~~~~~ Thats why I love the sub-forum idea. I had no idea what a sub forum was until I saw it on Rants. Its perfect. Its like a "sticky-forum". Lol. I was telling QueenV how it would be nice to have a sticky for events, but then realized a sticky thread would be too mishmashed for it to work. A "sticky forum" (Which is how it looks from a users point of view) is just soooooooooo perfect. I have heard that this is quite the debate on Staff Lounge. After seeing how the sub-forum thingy works, the only thing I can see whats being debated is exactly what gets sub-forumed. To be honest, I wish I was still crew right now, just for access to that debate. lol. Disclaimer: Too bad I can't dedicate the time to return to crew at this time. For the guides, I think its worked out perfect. When a user needs a guide, they go look for it. The seperate forum for guides does not need "exposure" here. And with Player Made guides seperate from the Archive of Wisdom, it seperates the billions of silly guides from the vital ones. I love how the guides sections have evolved. (I know there was a lot of heartache in evolving it, but kudos to the staff members that had passion on the issue. Pokemama is my hero.) But events is a different type of user benefit. The events need the exposure because users don't "need" events, so they won't go "looking" for them. But for them to benefit, they need to see them. So they need to have the exposure in General to be most beneficial to the users. And with the "sticky forum" its an instant reminder when they pop in. Blogscape a subforum? I would say no. Its not a user "benefit" like events and guides, its more of an entertainment forum. Besides, I think it gets pretty good traffic from the users as it is. Boy, Marketplace sure could benefit from sub-forums, eh? Big time. Something to think about there, too. Please feel free to cut and paste this post to the debate thread on Staff Lounge. I'd like the staff to hear my thoughts on this. \

:shock: After reading THIS response, I just wanted to reiterate that I'm just looking for the best way for ALL USERS on this board to be aware of the events. This isn't about me. This is about the community. And I just saw the Sub-forum on Rants. What a great solution! Its perfect. I love it. I think it would benefit the users by adding the Events forum on Gen P2P just like this. It lets them have the exposure of the events on the most popular forum, and keeps it seperated from the discussions. What a perfect solution! =D> I hope this is considered, because the having the events in its current place is just not benefiting the users nearly as well as this would.

Since the Rants section is for "Game related" posts only, I figured this was the best place for this. Before, all events hosted by players were held in General P2P, unless it was planned more than 5 days in advance, where it would be in this "Events" forum. I do a thing called "HYT Invasion" that is popular with the users. Now that the rule has put ALL event posts into this events section, no one is going to see the event posts, because, quite honestly, not many people go in there. General P2P no longer has guides. It no longer has stories. It no longer has blogs. And now, it no longer has events. Is the goal to completely eliminate Gen P2P altogether? There is so many sub forums now, it takes 3 page-downs to get through them all. *sigh* I would like HYT Invasion event threads to be visible in Gen P2P. Hardly anyone is going to see them now. *grumbles* Sorry for the rant, but thanks for listening.
