Where have you discovered you get alot of Drill Sargeant randoms that gives you the Camo? I have never recieved one. How do you get him?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also, where have you gotten alot of Mimes? What were you doing? If anyone has gotten alot of mimes, please post on how you get them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Please post your experiences if you've had success getting these two randoms.

Its RANDOM there is no one way to get it!

The only time I have ever got a mime or drill sergeant is if I have been doing the same thing for several hours/not really moving far like woodcutting/power mining etc. Though I don't know its probably just random.

I used to get him a LOT when woodcutting. Especially when cutting Teak and Mahogany on Karamja. Usually just when I was about to teleport.

Not completely. You get a gravedigger, zombie, and shade when you bury bones. You get the levers from teleporting. You get the beehive only when picking flax.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There are certain things that get you certain randoms. I'm trying to find if there's a certain action that gets the Drill Seargant.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'm hearing that teleporting gets him. Since I always use glory to tele, then thats probably why I never get him.

Well.... Not exactly random in the sense that you can get more randoms if you're being flagged suspicious of for example autoing or being afk.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I almost always get more randoms if I do something which doesn't require a lot of clicking and I'm just reading the forums. Strangely enough during my blue dragon slaying which involved 1k blue's I got exactly 1 random, but when killing about 400 hellhounds I did nothing except attacking one, burying bones and looking if I got a clue and well.... I got a freaky forrester, a mime, 2 graveyards, a mysterious plant (or whatever it's called), 1 drunken dwarf and 2 mom's... :shock:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And it could not be related but I noticed I got the maze so many times while stringing I just have to be suspicious if there isn't a trigger for certain randoms. I remember hearing from other people too that they seemed to get the maze a lot of times if they did things with an full inventory, but this could just be a rumor. :-w

You were banking during the blues, right? If you change your screen, your "random clock" seems to start over.

Hmmmm, that's interresting, never thougth about leaving the screen affecting the randoms... :wall:

Hmm, the way I get a random is to do an activity for a long time, then try and do something different. For example-

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If I go to jellies or whatever, I kill about 50-60 of them, then high alch an item. I get a random about 80% of the time.

And i seem to get the clothes random this way..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If I'm pc'ing or something (Pc is good as evil chicken etc. doesn't appear so that raises the chance of it being a mime/ drill sergeant) if i haven't done anything different for a while, I try to teleport. Even if it's just somewhere near by, like Fally for PC, it usually works.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Or if your doing a repetitive activity, woodcut mining etc, try to act like an autoer - click on same spot for wcing, dont walk about while waiting for tree spawns and the such.

I got my one drill demon and 2 mimes while picking cabbage. :o

I got my only mime while spinning flax.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I do seem to get a lot of randoms though while fishing monkfish.

I've played for only a year, and have managed to get all mime, camo, and lederhosen pieces. However, I found that all of the events were triggered by my alching of items dropped by moss giants during the time it took me to get 99 ranged.

I get drill sargent quite a few times cooking on karamja, got both my mimes while walking to bank from woodcutting yews.

I got the entire cammo set from killing monsters (combat)

I've gotten 6+ drill demons by teleporting after long training. Range guild minigame also counts, because I got 2 of them there.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For mime, no idea, it seems pretty random to me, since I've only gotten it 3 times (climb rope, top \, boots)

If it means anything, i've gotten 4 mimes in a week doing slayer, 3/4 of the times I was walking to the slayer tower and back to the bank. I just honestly want them to die now though.

I can consistently get a teleport lever EVERY TIME when I Camelot Tele from the level 22 green dragons after killing a load by clicking past level 20 on the map from ~21 then clicking teleport really fast so that I tele the moment I step into level 20.

But I've gotten one the last 6 times I did this, and it can't be just coincidence.

ive gotten camo on another account, when i was about to bank for something, i don't remember what. then, for mime, the first time i got it was in dwarven mines, last couple of times, i don't remember. but i remember my friend telling me that if you don't talk on private and public, it raisees your chances of getting the mime. that worked for the first mime, again, i don't remember for the rest :wall:

Actually ive gotten 2 mimes and 1 forrester from cutting my OWN tree in fally park in 1 day

I've gotten 2 mimes power smelting with prvt chat and public off + running from randoms

My 2 mimes came in the same day fishing lobbys.

 

 

 

Never got drill demon or whatever

I've had three mimes:

 

 

 

1) 3 days into the game: walking to Falador bank (weird, I think I was mining iron)

 

 

 

2) the day before yesterday: while mining 6000 gold ores in Crafting guild (my third day of being exclusively there)

 

 

 

3) yesterday: while smelting said 6000 ores

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'd say long periods of mining/smelting seems to be a good trigger.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

No Drill Demon so far...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When teleporting, I often get Evil Bob.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When smelting, I get many genies. But then again, most randoms pop up once or twice while smelting.

This worked for me too..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A while back in f2p I sometimes used the superheat-spell when mining, I had full mime in 3 weeks. Same with alching while woodcutting (waiting for respawning of tree); full camo in no time..

Here is what I have learned (through combat)

 

 

 

Keep hp below 20%

 

 

 

Train as far north as possible (not wildy)

 

 

 

Train underground

 

 

 

Don't move camera

 

 

 

Try to follow the same path

 

 

 

Act like a robot

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And, Willow cutting at Draynor seems to get loads of randoms as well.

Becasue randoms are to stop/kill autoers, I would suggest acting like 1. Just powermine or wc for w hile, might help.
