Nah.. the person in Zanaris is bound to the city by an irreversable spell, and wanted cabbage so badly, he/she resorted to buying them from visitors.

I'd buy 2M cabbage if I had the chance :| Where would the fun be in that? The main reason we pick cabbage is for fun. The stash is just to keep track of how much fun we've had. :P
