Many people merchant feathers by buying large amounts (100k+) from shops, then selling to players for a few gp more. Killing chickens is another way. :P
From Tip.It's pet care guide: "It will take about three to three and a half hours of game time for your kitten to grow up into a healthy, lovely, furry cat. But remember...your kitten does not grow whilst in the bank or in your inventory."
I don't know about pike, but I remember I stopped burning salmon in the 50s cooking. Since you need 20 cooking for pike and 25 for salmon, you would probably stop burning pike at 40-something. Just a guess. :P
Kinda off topic but... you can Hi-Alch things in noted form... True, but that's just a strange kind of "magic". With superheating, I think the idea is the magic spell creates the heat like a furnace, so you can smelt the ores. Why am I trying to find logic? :P
I'm almost positive you can't superheat noted ore. It is paper, after all. BTW, when you superheat iron, you still only have a 50% chance of getting a bar. The members only ring of forging (enchanted ruby ring) does give you a bar every time. EDIT -- Yar, that is wrong. Thanks Captainkidd. =) Did they change it at all? I thought I looked it up recently.
I use full green d-hide, tri-jester hat, rune scimitar, strength amulet, fighting boots, and red cape. For those rare days when I think I should range, I use the same basic outfit, but with bow/arrows/leather boots.
The proper way is to find a high hp monster with a near by safe-spot. For strength training? Goobore is right, at 20 defense, monsters such as moss giants, giant spiders and zombies are a bad idea.
