  1. can't you kill mummies in that pyramid to get another staff?..i'm sure i've heard that you could somewhere before..
  2. well..the cutest cat contest scares me. are you sure you haven't been smoking stuff before this?
  3. It's time for another edition of "the good, the bad, and the ugly". This edition is based on the new dragon slayer update which is pretty much the only f2p update since varrock. Now, i'm not saying it is bad, but i think people should form their own opinions from this The Good: We could easily start this out at any number of places. For one thing, it's longer since once you kill elvarg, you must return elvarg's head to oziach. This makes this quest a bit longer with all the walking around. Also, you have to go to the guildmaster to get the maze key, again extending the quest. With 2 "tiny" updates, they've extended the quest on about another 10-15mins. Another benefit is that once you have beaten dragon slayer, you may not go back into the higher floors of the maze. This makes it really good for people who want to beat the maze, without having higher lvl'd people taking their monsters. Yet another good thing about this could be elvarg's "lair". With almost no "safe spots" in there, it makes it more challenging for people who don't want to melee the dragon. With all this good stuff, this quest has become more fun, challenging, and longer in time. The Bad: To start with the bad parts, we could easily use the good parts in this part. With longer time, it'll take people who have almost no computer time days to beat this quest. Instead of this quest being easily able to do in a day, people will be forced to leave it and finish it on another day. Another bad thing is the fact that melzar's maze isn't available to people who have already beaten the quest. This lowers the available training spots for people down 1. With 1 less training spot, people who were in there to train are now forced to go to spots like crandor/karamja and the stronghold of security. One big addition to the "bad" list is the fact that the safe spots are at a minimum in elvarg's lair. This makes killing elvarg only really good if your a melee type of person, and almost gives the mages/rangers a bit of a "shove off the stage". With the bad stuff and the good stuff being almost similar, it's hard to see if this update was either good or bad. The Ugly: Though most people have seen the thing where it says elvarg's lair was update, not many people really know that most of this quest was updated as well. This is one game update where most people haven't known the entire thing of it.
  4. silver isn't really the fastest f2p way if you know how to use the cowhides near the crafting guild. out of pity though..i'll give this a 2/10.
  5. not really..you have to kill black knights in order to get armor from them. killing white knights just lowers your count.
  6. (warning: the following guide is only meant for people who wish to earn the stats to get barrows armor. Viewer discretion is advised.) I was looking through the tip.it guide section, and didn't really see any guides that involved getting your attack/defence/strength up to being able to use barrows. So out of a bored mind, I decided to make my own. This is a f2p guide, however it'll also work for new members who want to get up their combat. Minimum Requirements: -preferably a low combat lvl, though people with around medium combat can do this as well if they have the fishing/cooking lvls to match -decent armor/weopen -*a willingness to do quests* *(though quests will help for getting xp, it doesn't mean that you need to do them. Rune might be the "best f2p armor", addy still works about the same, with over 140k less of a cost.)* The beginning (combat lvls 3-13) For this part, all you will really need is a bronze/iron weopen. Armor is optional, but you don't really need it. Just go to varrock and train your attack on the dummies. Once you can gain no more xp, just go to any chicken coop and kill chickens. Dont forget to pick up the feathers, you'll need them all for later. Once you have atk/def/str all at 10, go to al kharid for the next part of the training "tour". Moderate Combat (combat lvls 13-30) For this next part, armor is reccomended. I suggest using steel, however other types will still work. Also, you will need a fishing net to catch food. Without a fishing net, you will have a hard time during all steps after this. Fish up shrimp to the south of al kharid, and cook them on the range to the north of the bank. Use this food to train on the al kharid warriors inside the "castle", and repeat when you run out of food. Try to keep doing this till you have atk/def/str to 30. When your finished, your fishing/cooking should also be above 30. Also, if you have membership, this is a really good way to get herbs for herblore. *Quest Beating (combat lvls 30-72)* This next part is only for the people who wanted to do the f2p quests. If you wanted to just go for barrows without doing quests, then go to the next part. For all those who wanted to do the f2p quests, you will need at least addy armor and possibly some gp (5-6k depending). Go to lumbridge and start the quests in there. After you start the quests, go around in a circle by going to varrock, then fally, then rimmington/ draynor, and back. This circle will save a ton of time, and will also allow you to get multiple quests done at a time. Once you have done all of these except dragon slayer, follow the tip.it guide on the front page to do dragon slayer. You should have around 40-50 combat from this. If your atk/def/str are all unbalanced from these quests, try to "even them off" to make it easier to train later. If you don't get 50 combat from this, just train on the flesh crawlers in the stronghold of security till you do. The feathers you got earlier will help! Once you get 50 combat, go to the moss giants on crandor and train till you have 72 combat. it will take a while, but will be worth it. If you decided to do this part, skip the next part. Stronghold Training (combat lvls 30-72) This next part is pretty simple, and will offer pretty good xp. Just use the feathers you have and fly fish. Then cook the fish and use them to train on the minotaurs/zombies in the stronghold. If you run out of feathers, either buy more or kill chickens for them. Roughly 5k of feathers will last throughout this entire thing. Once you have 72 combat, it's on to the easy and final step. Red Spiders (combat lvl72-86) For this final step, you will need your armor and the same stuff as the previous step. Fly fish salmon/trout, and use them to train on the red spiders in the stronghold. These offer really quick and easy xp (roughly 50k of xp per hour if your lucky). Train atk/str/def all to 70, and your done.
  7. +23 What they said ^^ add a point to the board amount of people think he's telling a huge lie-3 amount of people who know he's telling a huge lie-100% of everyone on here..
  8. lol..this noob was following me, and i was wearing addy without a helm: noob: hey noob, look who came out of the cereal box me: huh? noob: yeah that's right..i'm talking to you noooooob me: oh, sorry, i wasn't paying attention noob: if you don't give me 100k, i'll keep following you me: ok.. i let him follow me through a winding maze, then "Accidentally" stop by a bunch of ankou's...oops? he dies, then blames me. i tell him that if he stopped following me and stopped acting like a noob, he would've lived.
  9. well..this thing kinda affects the general people..aka both f2p and p2p..most of the people selling the anti-dragonfire shields are going to be f2p, and this upgrade was also released so that everyone knew about it, not just the p2p worlds..
  10. argh..i got 2 exams that day. if you shifted it to saturday, i could attend. as for thurday though, i doubt i'll be able to..
  11. well with both i look like the lucky charms guy....

  13. well for once someone mentions the cost of oziach making it..lol..now i can add it to my post
  14. It's about time for another edition of "the good, the bad, and the ugly". This newest edition focuses on the new dragonfire shield which came out in today's upgrade. The good: The regular anti-dragonfire shield is really easy to get, but only if you have done dragon slayer. Also, since you can get the other piece you need for it from almost any dragon in the game (except for those relating to quests), it makes this pretty good shield really easy to get. Also, since it is a shield with a special attack, it makes it a really good shield to use with most dragon weopens/abyssal whip. The best part of this shield though has to be the fact that though it has a special attack, to my understanding, it does not use any power from the "special attack bar". This shield could prove very useful if combined with the dragon dagger. Another really good thing point i found out about the shield is the fact that it gains defence stats with each dragonbreath charge. If you have all 55charges on it, you pretty much have a shield with a defence bonus greater than that of the dragon square shield. It could prove as a new choice for those lvl90+ people who can't afford good shields. The bad: now onto the bad points of the shield. In order to make it, you either have to have 90smithing, or you have to pay oziach to make it for you. The cost of this shield proves fatal to it, as it required 1.25mil for oziach to make it for you. Instead of paying 1.25mil for this shield, you could get a crystal shield and still have enough cash left to fully recharge it a couple times.Another bad part has to due with the fact that it requires 75defence to weild. With such a high defence requirement, you won't really be seeing anyone under lvl90 using it. Finally, the fact that the shield loses it's defence bonus with each dragonbreath charge makes it really hard to use. you can either choose to use all the charges and end up being left with a shield the equivalent of an addy square, or keep the charges and have a shield with more defensive bonuses. Either way, using this shield will be tough to truly "use". The ugly: With this new shield coming out, the price of the anti-dragonfire shield is expected to make a boost. This is going to make it a pretty easy "macroing item". Macroers will just stock up on a ton of these shields, then sell them for a ton of profit. Another ugly thing about this shield is the fact that with an almost identical look to the regular "anti-dragonfire shield", item scamming with this could increase. This shield is complex. In one way it's one of the best shields invented by jagex. In another way, it's the ultimate way for rule breaking to go up. It's one "addition" that's both a good news, bad news idea from jagex.
