Facts of The Change This is an educated topic, not a rant. Please do not spam the forum or make uneducated replys. 48 Hours ago, Jagex deleted the Wilderness we all came up to know. They added different minigames which gave pking TEAMS a huge advantage. The solo pkers, the mb'ers, and more were ALL effected by this. With the release of this, you will see MANY effects of the update. My first topic will be SKILLS, which you all love to train. However now, the skills are destroyed and it will be VERY hard to make them stable and able to ADAPT. Runecrafting Runecrafting has been around for a while. However, most of these runes are PKING runes. Deaths, chaos, bloods, etc. will no longer be in use other than by the very few people with pking teams in the bounty hunter games. Also, as of January, there wil be no fast way of leveling up runecraft. The rune crafting worlds will be ruined, which will hurt the runecrafting economy. This contradicts Jagex' idea of putting the world into themes (Law, Natures, Air crafting worlds) Construction Thankfully, the update didn't effect this skill too much. There is one big thing that will be effected at January, which includes no private, friendly drop partys in you're own house. Herblore This skill will be greatly effected. The herblore economy WILL crash as over 50% of the combat potion sales were from pures, and pker's which are not doing what they used to. Fletching This skill will be effected by the lack of arrows being made to player ill. Woodcutting The main provider with the Fletching skill, this will be effected by the lack of logs being cut into arrows being made to player kill. Slayer The Main reason player's train Slayer is to get the great award of the abyssal demon. The whip and Dark Bow. Players will no longer use these to pk (you can't protect) which means more selling and less buying. Prices will fall. Mining No more Rune rock pking equals MANY more people swinging their pickaxe at the only mining money gain. Smithing Much less people are going to buy Rune sets especially if you're in a clan. Cooking and Fishing You can finally say Farewell to these skills. The only reason why the lobster was still selling was because of Player Killers and clans. Think of how much food was lost in the wilderness. The Sharks, lobsters, swordfish will NO LONGER be selling (at least how much it used to). This will cause a major fall in prices. Cooking will no longer have a use other than to get the cape. OTHER EFFECTS: DAGGONOTH KINGS, KALPHITE QUEEN, GODWARS Teams will NO LONGER find this a use for a legible way to make money. Teams can NO LONGER give the shares of the item gained. Players will now compete for the kills rather than not caring because they trust their friend from giving a percentage. This contradicts lootshare. There is no more reason for lootsharen other than being jealous of another person's monster drop. For Example, if two friends Go to Kalphite Queen, and they get a Dragon Chain drop, the player who got the dragon chain will no longer be able to trade 50% of the cash to their teamate. DROP PARTYS: (without 100 noobs) Drop partys are now ruined. THe only way to have a drop party currently is to go to Party Pete. However if you're dropping expencive items, there will be noobs who get news of this ALL OVER THE SERVER! They can even get TELEPORTED there by a bank teller for FREE?! Desert Treasure: Players won't have much a desire to do it anymore. 90% of the players today have done the quest to get the ancients to Player Kill (and actually make a profit). Most of the players doing it after the update will do it for the Quest Points ONLY GETTING KILLED: No matter where you get killed, players will NO LONGER be able to return the items back to you. For example, if you're friends go to Chaos Elemental and someone looses a Veracs helm (idk lol) then the person teaming with them will no longer be able to wait for it to appear, pick it up, give it to the person. This also goes with for example Daggonoth Killing. Introduction: A little bit about my self Hey, My name is Shan. I am 13 years old and I live in Texas. Hopefully this topic can serve as a motivation to continue my tank ranger. Some of my hobbies include playing the guitar, playing runescape, skateboarding, and hanging out with friends. My favorite food is pizza, and my favorite music is metal. Nothing can beat bands like iron maiden, slayer, metallica, anthrax, Judas priest or black sabbath. I am going to be a freshman next year, so I'm looking forward to starting highschool. I have an all A average, and I will be taking 3 pre ap courses next year. Thats a little bit about myself. A little background on my account: I started playing runescape 3 years ago, and like most people I got hooked. My first ever account, swgy, was a dud, and hes only lv 14. I still have him to this day. I took a month break and I became serious and started my old main, dotsrus. I played on dostrus for two years, untill he was banned in feburary. I got him to lv 103 and he had 1512 total. He had such stats as 90 magic, 88 cooking, 80 woodcutting, 90 attack, 86 strength, 86 fletching, 70 mining, 80 firemaking, and 86 hitpoints. I was banned, so I quit runescape for a month and came back. i had nothing, so I started back on my pure, fury by bow, and worked my way to the top again. Ive been playing this account for 6 months now. I also took breaks to skill and quest, so thats why I'm not so good in other stats in combat. I was going to become a barrows pure, but I decided to stick with my original plan of tank ranger. I know when im a maxed tank Ill be 2 combats higher, but that doesn't bother me. My characters equipment: For Training Defence: For Training Ranged: For Training Magic: My Current Stats and Goals, with my bank! Here is a picture of my current stats and bank. If anything I would like to increase my current wealth,40mil, toward 60-70mil, so If possible I could use chinchompas to train. Currently, here is what I'm aiming for stat wise. I am done skiling for a while, after gaining the ability to cook sharks and make my own magic bows and range pots. It will probably take a year for me to gain these goals. Range:99 I will gain 99 range, by a mixture of iron Knives, chinchompas, and my new dark bow on dragons, also I'm considering using my rune cbow. Right now, IM using iron knives until 90 range on the spiders in the stronghold of security. I also will not use pest control, I dont want a low hitpoint level. Magic:94 I will gain this through alching, stunning, and steel dragons. Defence:85 This will be done by getting 65 slayer using a whip, then the rest I will use guthans at Bandits camp. Hitpoints:90 This will be done by a combination of training range, magic and defence, nothing more. Level up pictures: 89 range! Daily log: 7-9-07 TOday I woke up at 10am and began to range the spiders. At 1, i gained 89 range. Later I stopped training and attended a castlewars game with my friend and a drop party. I took a 4 hour break and hanged around outside. That is pretty much it for today. Donations: None so far, but if you donate, I will put your picture up, and you will have my highest regards =]. I always neglected herblore.. but for legends I had to do it. I raised it from 25, and now I am currenty 50. When I was raising my herblore up I bought 500 rannars for 8kea and 500 snapes for 500ea. I broke even. I am hoping to continue training herblore untill 70, maybe 82. I want to make a profit with decent exp. Is this possible, and which method(s) should I use. Thank you.

In my free time, I like to hang out with my girlfriend, skate with my mates, and play runescape> Im into classic metal bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest,Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, Led Zepplin, Motor Head, Motley Crue, and new stuff like Lamb of God and Children of Bodom. Thats a little bit about me. My Goals: IN order to become a succesful tank ranger I have 2 sets of goals, short term and long term. Short Term Goals: Range:85 Magic:85 Defence:70 Hitpoints:75 Prayer:52 Long term goals: Ranged:99 Magic:94 Defence:85-99 Hitpoints:90-99 Prayer:52 I also do enjoy some skilling, but thats passive and I don't have any set skilling goals. Current Stat Picture: After about 4months of training here we are =p Here is my current range training equipment: My training philosphy: Its old school training hands down. Nothing beats smashing up those old monsters. TO me, pest control is the worst thing for combat. Not only does it screw up your hit points, it produced many "pc products" who dont know how to pk. Hitpoints are very importan, without them you cannot survive a dds spec or 2. When I will train my ranged, I do a combination of expeirmants, ogres at king lathas, dragons, and firegaints. Not only do they give 40k-50k xp an hour, they give good hitpoints xp, and drops. These are the best training for range hands down, and I will most likely be getting 65 slayer so i can conquer dusties once im 70 defence. Training magice has always been my favorite skill, leveling it to lv 91 before being banned. The best palces for magic training are steel dragons, stunning, and steel dragons. Why I say steel dragons....?Well I went from 83-91 magic on my main offa em and resulted in 19 dragons legs, 21 skirts, 5 meds, and other goodies. To train defence, I will be getting 70 attack and strength, and using the good ole bandits or axe hut. However I will not be leveling to 70 defence until at least 85 ranged and magic.. My Log... Nothing much, since i Jus started it today. I will update every other day though. Pking: Ah the rewarding part of all the hard training. When I pk. I usally go to edgeville, the castle, varrock wildy, and mage bank. One of the best part of pking p2p is pking with your m8s. SO I cant wait to have good stats. Pking dos and don'ts: DOs: I do run, if IM getting owned. I do stay for a deathmatch. I do try my best. I do insult you if you insult me back. I always wish you luck =]. DOnt's I dont safe. I got an old account who can mine rune so its not a prob.

In about 2 weeks, I will have 99 cooking and I want one other 99 skill before I start focusing on combat again.(currently 85 cooking). Since I was a noob I always wanted to be able to smith rune, and now its finally a possibility. Smithing is my lowest skills, it was once my highest. Currenty at 55. Now i was wondering how long 99 smithing will take, and how much money I will have to put in. I have 45mil currently, and I can make about 30mil in 2weeks. What method can I use to get my smithing levels, and when dose rune smithing beocme profi table. Also, do you have any tips for 99 smithing. THanks alot

I agree with you, even though im a noob, i got my lv 101 combat the hard way, by training. People like us have alot more experince in this game than pc prouducts, who are only exposed to one thing. There kinda noob i was pking last night and i killed a 107, I look him up and he was only ranked in combat, and he wasn't pure. They should reduce the xp in pc... by alot!

Step by Step Guide to Hacking Other Players: Step one: Go to Al Kharid Step two: Get a Pickaxe Step three: Go to the Scorpion Pit (AKA Al Kharid mines) Step four: Mine some copper Step five: Mine some tin Step six: Go south, find the furnace. Step seven: Smelt a bronze bar Step eight: Walk to Varrock (Far north, but not too north!)
