How's the learning curve on this game? This'll be my first fps since Killzone 2.
The hardest part is just that some of the maps can be large so you'll get sniped from all sort of places. Not too hard though.
Man, squad deathmatch is just amplified by 1000x awesome when you have an (almost) full squad of friends. Me and 2 other friends were playing it for like 3 hours, it's awesome. Got my M416 and now I'm a bit over half way to getting the M16.
I want to play so badly, if only my PC wasn't so [cabbage].
The people I hang around with on vent have bought a server, and they haven't shut up about it for the past 3 days, and its almost unbearable.

Dualshock is the best controller design ever, period.

Medic can drop health packs which heal everyone around them. Health does not regenerate.
I could've sworn it did for me once.
This game looks awesome, I might preorder it.
But I wish I could go prone :'(
the blood on your screen disappears, but the health itself doesn't come back.

6 months ago is what? Just before ToC fully came out, so yeah I imagine you only have a few bits of 232 and 245 if that.
Just run HCs to get triumph gear and then run ToC10/25 for upgrades on that + VoA of course.
Finally got to run ICC10 last night, did the first 4 bosses with only two wipes, one on Lady Deathwhisper as all the melee DPS died... (The ranged DPS had got her shield down to 50k lol). One on Saurfang as two ranged were dead.
Got myself a 251 belt (had 245 HC one before) and that's it, lost rolls on the neck from Saurfang and the bracers from Deathwhisper :(.
I topped DPS for all fights I believe, which is fairly good as none of those fights are really mage friendly =P, was a good group and we probably could have cleared more but we had 2 Pugs with us one of which was a tank who decided to leave after the first 4 bosses, we then couldn't find a replacement =/.
Hopefully can run that on a weekly basis now, which would be nice, not only for frost emblems but for gear too =P.
My new guild has started doing 25 mans now, which sucks for me as I get DCed when doing them, luckily switching ISP on Monday so should be fine to raid from then on :)
my gear is all about 232/245.
I'm trying to see if any of my old guildmates are playing still. It'll make it a lot easier to gear back up if I can get into a guild, even just as a social rank.
decebal, I'd stay with gathering professions until you get to max level. The money they will make you will be very very helpful as you level up. I think beast mastery is still the best soloing talent tree for hunters, although I could be wrong.
And the option to show more action bars is in your interface menu.

I downloaded the demo and tried the game. FLIPPIN AMAZING!!! I love playing Assault and raking up points by supplying ammo. This game is going to be a hit, I know it is. It's better than MW2.
God, I need to convince my parents to let me buy this. I figured out that if you turn the dialogue down to zero, nobody besides people talking in their mics will even talk. No talking = no cussing. So, it pretty much turns the rating to teen. Would that convince my parents?
Killing hundreds and hundreds of people? No problem.
Swearing?! Oh HELL NO!

I watched My Hime again, and threw a [cabbage]fit at the very end when I saw arika from my otome in the VERY last frame. They planned that SO freaking well.

does this use the same ranking system as Modern Warfare where the more you play, the more advantage you have other people? i always hated unbalanced games like that
I felt this game was like halo, whoever sees the other guy first wins without any skill involved.
i'm guessing you never played any ranked games?
There are unlockable weapons and perks, but overall they are incredibly well balanced, and you won't feel underpowered when you begin.

I think my wall would appreciate that. I've chucked my rock band drumsticks off it hundreds of times in frustration, The paint is chipped all over it.

I got mad with bayonetta and threw my controller off the wall. It smashed. Now I'm sad, and also £35 worse off.

At least that clears it up a bit. Seems less invasive than normal DRM, considering it doesn't actually root its self into anything.

Also, the FOV ingame is going to be locked at 55.

Loved the first Bad Company, i'll definately be getting this.
Hopefully there'll be more game modes than capture the area (or whatever it's called) and gold rush.
the new game mode call squad deathmatch or something is what I'm really excited about.
4 way battles between smaller squads. First squad to 50 kills win.

I only have access to playing it on the xbox 360, so I will miss out on all of the PC only features. :angry:
Either version will be awesome though. :thumbup: DICE know's how to make great games.
Aside from dedicated servers what are the other PC-only features, you know?
It's sad that we have to use the idea of dedicated servers as a marketing tool now though, lol. Still happy to have them though.
Dedicated servers are a big feature though. I love being able to pick my own server to play on. Especially if I'm feeling like playing with specific rules (like knife fights) or on a specific map. The PC version has been given specific attention to provide the best experience. I also thought that the PC version would support 64 players, but after looking into it, it turns out that it only supports 32 players.
the point is though, they shouldn't have to be a feature. They were around in 1996, providing lag free and customizable gameplay, for a good 13 years before infinity ward decided to shake things up a bit.

playing my second ever scrim yesterday on badlands, spire was getting capped, I was in lobby, I ran out through the bottom, RJed up to the spire, got one scout while I was airborne with the rocket, then switched to shotty and killed the other scout.
I know thats a pretty common occurence, but at the time I was like... WOW! Did I just do that?! Man I'm pro as hell!

...Has Zac Efron even SEEN Death Note? Or did he accept the part of most brilliant student in Japan who is "corrupted" by the notebook because he hasn't been in anything since 17 Again?
EDIT: Upon reading his wiki article it says he's been cast for Full Metal Panic!... Which for some reason is being renamed to "Panic". There's nothing about Death Note

When you first install the skins start a game and play by yourself, as some servers play as sv_pure 1 which means that only the stock items will show. No idea why they do it, a lot of people hate it and will quit if they play on one of those servers.
It would be quite easy to cheat by using custom models.

I have it, and I think it's pretty good. The combat is easy to learn but some-what hard to master. I hate when you get the leopard ability it becomes almost impossible for me to dodge very well. Oh well I guess. The weapons are cool, except maybe the whip. The accessories are waaaaaaaay overpriced, making getting a few of the achievements tedious. Strangely, I like the music. I don't know why since I don't listen to that stuff, but still. The bosses are pretty cool as well. The camera CAN get in the way a few times, but it's not that big of a deal. The Asaheim (?) challenges can be totally unfair sometimes (e.g. the one where you have to kill those two tiger things using a set amount of attacks). Other than that it's very good.
For the limited kick / punch alfheim, get into witch time and then charge your katana to full, and release when they are both near to you. It'll take quite a few attempts, but I found it to be the easiest way.
