  1. cool, thanks for the advice. anyone else?
  2. I may finally become member (woohoo!) after two years of playing. I have pretty good stats: 75 str 75 attack 74 def 59 range 57 mage 46 pray 75 woodcut 75cooking 72 fishing 72 mining 52 crafting 61 smith I am totally unfamiliar with the members world and do not know where to begin. What quests should I start out with to familiarize myself with the members world? Which skills should I do? How can I prepare for members? (I have about 3 mil to spend) thanks -icyhalberd
  3. I mean that when people train skills, they aren't doing it to get money, not for the moment anyway, but then they might have massive amounts of "stuff" that they could probably sell for a decent amount of cash. I think just skilling, then selling the by-products is a much better way to earn cash if you want to have a high total level. Merchanting is tedious in that its very boring when you are sitting in a bank trying to sell your goods. that's all -icyhalberd by the way, have another free bump
  4. It's a useful guide in that you list price ranges for selling and buying, but some of the things that you mentioned do get very tedious, whereas some people just train a skill, then sell what they did, like selling logs, or ores. B U M P -icyhalberd
  5. Instead of having 14 jugs and 14 clays to make bowls, i would have 7 and 21. This always worked for me, and when you refill jugs at the sink, you refill them all at once. So its pretty fast and you get more exp. good luck! -icyhalberd
  6. There is a slightly better way to do the spiders than you said, but i'm not sure that this works for the crawlers. When they stop being aggressive, all you have to do is run (you should have lots of energy built up by the time they stop attacking) to the corners of the room that you are in, and they start to become aggressive right away. I'm not sure why they do this, and again, i don't really know if it applies to the crawlers. This means that you don't have to run from room to room when they stop being aggressive. Also, as for me, its fishing salmon and trout that are better not only because of the speed, but once you get to around 65+ defence, it is adequate for restoring health. Furthermore, becuase of my fishing and cooking (69 /71), it's not that hard just to fish up a bag in like a minute or so, then cook them all on peska's fire, no burns. Hope I helped :D , -icyhalberd
  7. Thanks for reading everyone, i mainly put this on because i didn't think that many people took advantage of the free instant tele to port sarim, which, is, as doomster mentioned, a nice shortcut if you wanna go fishing. Other than that, i guess that's it. -icyhalberd
  8. ok, ok, sorry that i wasted your time, anything else? (people are getting harder and harder to please, if you don't believe me, see above)
  9. what i'm saying is that the shortcut way is faster, i timed it you try if you want. It also allows you to do the cheap mind and air rune freebie by dropping yours somewhere and picking em up later. not that i do that...... -icyhalberd
  10. Hi everyone, I have found a nice experience raising place for warriors and rangers (i'm not sure if its safe for mages) that are around cb 60-70 and up. This is the ice giant den!! Remember when you had to go there when you were a noob and you had to run to get the blurite ore? Well, here is when you get to kill em. The ice giants give the usual bbones and some money usually, and occaisionally some nooby steel/iron wep. The ice warriors in the place sometimes give 10-15 coins, or some pretty good runes (laws, cosmics, natures, death, chaos, etc) HERE'S WHAT TO DO First you bring your preferred armor and bag of food with you to the place, and kill to your heart's content (or i guess when you run out of food). When you do, go to a safe place and use the teleport home, which costs no runes. After awhile of killing, the monsters at the place do not show aggresiveness, so it should be pretty easy. When you are at lumby, walk to al kharid and restock food/drop off goods at the bank. Then, here is the shortcut part!!! -Go to shanty pass -talk to the guy in charge, and choose the first option. -then talk to him again, and choose the first option again. -When he asks you who you are, say that you are an outlaw (or something to that effect) and "prepare to die!" -he will put you in a tiny jail cell to the side -do not pay him what he asks, refuse twice -Voila! you have appeared at Port Sarim jail -right click on the jail cell door to pick the lock, then you can go back to killing the ice giants, which are a short walk away! On the way there, there is also an altar that you can pray at to get prayer points back. I found the shortcut thing out when i was exploring (i am still f2p), and i thought it would be funny to refuse, boy was i in for a treat when i found that it was basically an instant al kharid -> port sarim teleport. I have not heard of many people using this shortcut, but i may be wrong. Tell me what you think! -icyhalberd
  11. Hi, recently i have been noticing that lots of people have those cool sigs that show what percent you are at to get to a certain level. Can anyone give me a link to use that type of sig? THanks, i appreciate it icyhalberd
  12. Darn, then i can't wear then, but thanks anyway
  13. What are the robes that makes your character see through? I have seen many people walk around in them, but all of them are members. Is it only a member item? Thanks
  14. ty for the help madchild, but what i was really asking, was it was even possible to kill elvarg with ranging. Also, assuming that i could, would i gain levels in strength and attack (which i have kept at one)? also, although the knights are an ideal place to train, they have rather high defence, which makes it a hassle ty though
  15. Hi, I am a ranger, not a pure, just a ranger that also trains defence. Would it me possible for me to complete dragon slayer for me to use the dhide body without gaining lots of levels? thanks for help. also i am f2p, and any suggestion for where i should train would be helpful.
