Why arey our screenshots just blank boxes, that indicates something terribly wrong with your system far beyond SwiftKit in my opinion.

You'll want to use the Play free now button to log in to the game after being navigated ot the main RS home page.
To comply with RuneScape's 3rd party client rules we cannot actually send you directly to the game applet page, you must go via their main website.

You may find the article at http://blogs.technet.com/b/askperf/archive/2008/01/08/understanding-crash-dump-files.aspx has some information on that.

SwiftKit has no control over anything displayed on the runescape website, but as we're such nice people I'll give you some suggestions on what to do;
First and foremost; Try reinstalling java ( feel free to follow the guide here http://kb.swiftkit.net/question-runescape-wont-load.html on how to install the right version)
If this doens't resolve it, check your Antivirus, it is quite common that Link Scanner modules in antivirus software messes with things such as packet lookups in java.

It would be a lot more interesting to know the BSOD error code if you could provide it, alternatively a crash dump.

Sounds good, give us a heads up if you have success with it :)

We've been in contact with Webroot before concerning similar incidents, the problem is that their antivirus software only partially relies on their own database, the remaining portion is something it learns form what files you download on your own personal computer (this way no two sets of the antivirus are the same), if you download a lot of Runescape related files, get a lot of spam emails relating to RS and so forth, this will unfortunately make the program learn that anything interacting with Runescape that is 3rd party is bad.
Due to the nature of the antivirus learning database, it's not possible to get an update from the AV company that solves this, which means you will have to remove the learning database manually on your computer (exceptions reportedly do not function in all cases).
I don't know the process for removing the database manually, I've been informed it is possible but this information is not given out freely to non-customers, and the only other way is by uninstalling the antivirus software and telling it to remove all associated files. (We do not recommend completely removing your antivirus unless you have a viable replacement you would wish to use).

Is the language of your computer set to anything other than English?
-
What version of java are you running? (The best way to determine is to go into "Start > Computer > Uninstall or Change a Program" and tell us everything listed with "Java" there.
Also have you made sure to install updates for Internet Explorer through Windows Update?

Hi,
First things first, have you tried restarting your computer, then running SwiftKit as Administrator?
-
Did you check your firewall settings ?
-
Did you run the installer as well as administrator?
-
Hi,
My french is a bit rusty, but this appears to be an access error, did you run SwiftKit as administrator? (Right click the swiftkit icon and choose 'Run as Administrator' - "Executer comme administrateur" or something like that, again my french is very rarely used)

I would like to see the ability to force the browser dimensions for machinima clips. Basically, you could specify a resolution to set the browser control to so that when you are in resizeable mode, it will form to those dimensions. This would allow for doing exact video resolutions a lot easier than trying to manually gauge the size.
That's not a bad idea, we'll definitely look into the possibility of adding this feature.

Have you tried restarting your computer then running SwiftKit again?

I would really prefer seeing the content of your debug.txt file, if you can't copy the content I will say there's a bigger issue with your computer than SwiftKit not running.
Also did you consult http://kb.swiftkit.net/question-error-75.html ?

Hi,
You mentioned you tried installing the old java and new java, this can cause quite a few problems which other users have experienced, in which case the following has helped;
Start by uninstalling all versions of java on your machine (My Computer > Add/Remove programs and anything java related must go)
Restart your machine (this is very important)
Install Java 6 (do not install java7, it still has quite a few issues), you can get it from http://java.com/en/download/manual_v6.jsp Make sure you browse to the site using Internet Explorer
Restart your machine again to ensure settings are applied accordingly
Remove the jagex cache file
Try again now.

Hi,
Could you please provide us the content of the debug.txt file? (This should be located in your SwiftKit installation directory)

Not to worry, there are plans to bring them back once some of the curent issues with gold farming and botting accounts are handled (see their statements the past week)

Hi,
Could you please explain what you mean by "applet wont load", do you mean the screen just stays black, or is it stuck on the spinning load circle, or is there any other symptoms?
-
Unfortunately we can't make it portable because of the registry keys required with SwiftKit features.
And you need admin rights to make most changes on Windows these days, SwiftKit isn't alone in this, and it is only needed when doing the initial install or updates.
-
It sounds like something went wrong then, as this is a guaranteed fix so far in the 15-20 cases I've dealt with.
I see yo udropped me a PM saying you couldn't uninstall one of the java packages you had on your machine, did you receive any error when trying to remove this, as it's crucial you remove all java before installing it again.
-
Simple solution, this is caused by having java7 installed, which doesn't work too well with RuneScape.
Step 1: Open My computer, uninstall ALL java related programs
Step 2: Restart your computer (Important!)
Step 3: Download java6 (find your version on http://java.com/en/download/manual_v6.jsp make sure you download it using IE )
Step 4: Restart your computer again (important!)
Step 5: Enjoy RuneScape :)

Say's I don't have Java?
in SwiftKit
Posted
By latest, do you mean java 7 or 6, you'll want to only have java 6 installed on your system.
It's also vital that yo uninstall java using Internet Explorer, the article at http://kb.swiftkit.net/question-runescape-wont-load.html should help in getting the right version of java installed for you.
