  1. SwiftKit has no control over anything displayed on the runescape website, but as we're such nice people I'll give you some suggestions on what to do;

    First and foremost; Try reinstalling java ( feel free to follow the guide here http://kb.swiftkit.net/question-runescape-wont-load.html on how to install the right version)

    If this doens't resolve it, check your Antivirus, it is quite common that Link Scanner modules in antivirus software messes with things such as packet lookups in java.

  2. We've been in contact with Webroot before concerning similar incidents, the problem is that their antivirus software only partially relies on their own database, the remaining portion is something it learns form what files you download on your own personal computer (this way no two sets of the antivirus are the same), if you download a lot of Runescape related files, get a lot of spam emails relating to RS and so forth, this will unfortunately make the program learn that anything interacting with Runescape that is 3rd party is bad.

    Due to the nature of the antivirus learning database, it's not possible to get an update from the AV company that solves this, which means you will have to remove the learning database manually on your computer (exceptions reportedly do not function in all cases).

    I don't know the process for removing the database manually, I've been informed it is possible but this information is not given out freely to non-customers, and the only other way is by uninstalling the antivirus software and telling it to remove all associated files. (We do not recommend completely removing your antivirus unless you have a viable replacement you would wish to use).

  3. Hi,

    My french is a bit rusty, but this appears to be an access error, did you run SwiftKit as administrator? (Right click the swiftkit icon and choose 'Run as Administrator' - "Executer comme administrateur" or something like that, again my french is very rarely used)

  4. I would like to see the ability to force the browser dimensions for machinima clips. Basically, you could specify a resolution to set the browser control to so that when you are in resizeable mode, it will form to those dimensions. This would allow for doing exact video resolutions a lot easier than trying to manually gauge the size.

    That's not a bad idea, we'll definitely look into the possibility of adding this feature.

  5. Hi,

    You mentioned you tried installing the old java and new java, this can cause quite a few problems which other users have experienced, in which case the following has helped;

    Start by uninstalling all versions of java on your machine (My Computer > Add/Remove programs and anything java related must go)

    Restart your machine (this is very important)

    Install Java 6 (do not install java7, it still has quite a few issues), you can get it from http://java.com/en/download/manual_v6.jsp Make sure you browse to the site using Internet Explorer

    Restart your machine again to ensure settings are applied accordingly

    Remove the jagex cache file

    Try again now.

  6. Unfortunately we can't make it portable because of the registry keys required with SwiftKit features.

    And you need admin rights to make most changes on Windows these days, SwiftKit isn't alone in this, and it is only needed when doing the initial install or updates.

  7. It sounds like something went wrong then, as this is a guaranteed fix so far in the 15-20 cases I've dealt with.

    I see yo udropped me a PM saying you couldn't uninstall one of the java packages you had on your machine, did you receive any error when trying to remove this, as it's crucial you remove all java before installing it again.

  8. We need a debug output to be able to isolate the cause of your error, but the most obvious thing first, have you tried restarting your computer?

    Edit: The debug file can be found in your SwiftKit folder.
