Well my BMW broke down on me when I was driving to school today... i was driving along doing about 3000revs when all of a sudden my engine stoped, i pulled off to the side and eventualy got it going again. Drove along for another 5mins or so it was running fine then it happened again... got it going again except i only got about 100m this time before it happened, then 20m, then 10. I was freaking out lol :shock: I txt my friend and got him to come and give me a ride to school leaving my car on the side of the road. I went back at interval to see if it would work but it was just doing the same thing. So i rang the AA, a guy turned up and he didnt know what was wrong with it so he towed me to my uncles garage. My uncle rang me after school saying he doesn't know what's wrong with it and hes going to get an electritian to give it a scan or something. :-k Yeah so i hope that doesn't cost too much.... I'm going to get a loaner car while the BMW is getin fixed, hehe. Yeah well sorry for hi-jacking the topic

The tint is unnecessary, the rims are unnecessary, and depending on the equipment, I'm assuming the sound system is unnecessary. The mods are ricey but if the car is fast, it outweighs it to some degree. The tints are for security, people are less likely to break in when they don't know your wallet etc is there. + they offer good UV protection and stop glare from the sun so you have a better vision of the road. The rims are lightweight, thus decreasing the inertia of the wheel which makes it easier to turn therefore increasing acceleleration, obviously that's why i got them. : The sounds are quality over quantity... note the $2k is in NZD and i bought this stuff new back when it was the latest model, i'm aware it is worth less now. ok just asking... is a 4 door e36 BMW with 18" advanti rims, $2k worth of sounds and 5%-35% tints riced?

yes i know that "riced" cares aren't usualy fast thats what im trying to say they are going for show rather than speed, and yeah there's some realy bad grammar in there but that's not the point. and u drive a camaro, awesome that doesn't tell me much. that 2nd paragraph i find offensive, don't act like your opinion is fact. and i don't support "ricers" what im saying is that the civ pictured isn't riced its a show car, the camry picture is pure rice. what do you mean by done "right"? is that you opinion? im getting sick of this argument and im ending it, you think show cars are rice i don't, lets just agree to disagree.

Ah depends on yout definiton of a "kid", i turn 18 in November... What kind if car do you have? How do have a car right? Picys pl0x "rice" is also alot about attitude, people acting like their car is a racecar when it clearly isn't quote i found on another forum, sums it up nicely.

I was always going to get a WRX untill i found out i couldn't get insurance for less than $2k NZ so instead i went euro and got a BMW, classy \ But most of my friends have jap cars, EVOs, lancers, WRXs, SRXs, levins, civics, legacys, silvias, integras and stuff like that. They r nice cars but mostly front or 4 wheel drive cept 4 the silvias, im more of a RWD guy myself. That's riced? Haha nice mate nice. Whats your definition of riced car? You don't care how fast it is yet you say your camaro could own it? As for liking cars like this being a phase, it is for the 13-15 year olds hu watch the movies and read the mags that go through that, not the owners of the cars. Your right most of the exterior mods aren't functional but they bring an insane amout of street cred and the chicks love them. Most people who have a car like that civic own another car to run round in as you get sick of the speed bumps ripping of your kit and all the hassles like that. hehe

havnt realy read the topic so i may be off-topic but yeah. when i first got my BMW (Thats rite i got a blacked out e36 with 2k worth of sounds in it rollin on 18s \ ) i was a menace on the roads, i was drifting almost every corner and was always breaking the speed limit. In 100km/h areas it wasnt uncommon for me to be sitting on 160. that all changed when one day i was flying down a huge strait in the middle of nowhere with the car off the clock, 200km/h+ (over 124miles) and i passed a mufti cop coming in the other direction. He turned around and put his lights on i thort aw gawd thats almost jail time for that speed :shame: . So i floored it cops cant persue at over 180 and i had a huge head start so i got away, i put my car in the garage and didnt drive it for like a month. now days i hardly ever speed im nowhere near as bad as i was and i never go over 140 (caught doing anything over that and its loss of liscence). and i love my car and its not worth risking it, myself, passengers or other people on the road for the sake of speeding. as for the insurance thing, my dad is the director of an insurance company so i dont have any problems there. im gonna post a pic of my BMW if i can find 1 just to show off :) edit: this is my car when i first got it, i have since got sum 18 inch advanti stilleto rimz, paint touchups, over 2grand worth of sounds mostly blaupunkt and (illegaly) tintd windows :-$ still working on angel eyes + aftermarket tailz
