I'm doing Rum Deal (Bet you realized that) and I'm supposed to catch the 5 'slugings'. Now, according to the guide, I should be using the net I was given by Captain Braindeath, yet every fishing spot says I have the wrong equipment.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Any ideas on how to get through this? Do I need to put water in the fishbowl or something?

I believe you're just at the wrong spots. Make sure you're at the southeastern tip, and it's a peninsula if I remember correctly. I had the same problem too.

I've been at every fishing spot around the entire island, and still no luck...

Oh, did you untangle the fish bowl and net?

 

 

 

You're supposed to keep them tangled if so.

That may be the problem...That should probably be mentioned in the guide then...Shows what happens when you assume things. #-o

I only remembered that when I reread the RuneHQ guide, where it actually said "Do NOT untangle them! (If you do, just use them with each other again.)"

That would be a good idea, checking the two guides against each other...I would have been stranded for days trying to catch those sluglings...
