Linking to a post

One can link to a topic, but not to a post. I would like the ability to insert a link to a post in my post.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On the same note: posts are not numbered, so we can not even refer to a post.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

At present there is no way to direct people to a post. It's like not having an address - you can't tell people how to come to your place for dinner OR like owning a phone without a phone number. " Call me. It's in my shirt pocket."

That little orange page (white after a bit) is what you click for the link. Right click it and click "Copy Link Location" or click it and copy the link from your text bar, and you have a link that drops you off right at the individual post.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Random example, here's the link to a random post in a random topic on this board...

Adding on to what darkblade said, another way to direct link to posts (like a specific person's) is to go to their profile, click on "Find all posts by " and then it lists all the posts that person has written. If you click on the subject of the thread that they posted in, it links to their reply directly.

Thank you darkblade986 and tripsis. I really did look all over about this before posting. I never found it anywhere. Guess I was looking in the wrong place. Well ty again, this is good news.
