Jim_Knight Posted April 3, 2007 Share Posted April 3, 2007 Im kind of new at merchanting ive tried a few things mostly oppurtunistic buys where i saw people selling things for low prices. Ive got 1.6mill to play around with and i want to get to 3 mill ideally, ive read a few guides but they are mostly just buy for a low price and sell for this price i was just wondering if anyone would have any suggestions as to what sepcific items i should be buying how much for etc... any help would be appreciated. Although I hate merchanting, Iron and coal are a good way to merchant. Go to F2P worlds that are smaller in fallador and start buying all their iron. Some people go as low aw 60 gp or less for iron which you can turn around and sell in world 1 100 gp ea! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
SwreeTak Posted April 3, 2007 Share Posted April 3, 2007 Buying low and selling high is actually pretty easy. You just need to know what you should do this with, and what to sell and buy for. For a person with 1.6M I would recommend coal ores merchanting. It's very easy to get into, and it's not risky at all. The best place to merchant coal ores is at east Falador bank. Go into a world with 1,4k+ players and say something similar to "Buying all coal ores 150 each/your name!". Repeat this until you got a amount of 1k-5k coal ores. When one world is "empty" of coal ores, which means that none is no longer selling coal ores, switch to another world with 1,4k+ players. But don't switch to often. Try to sell all the coal ores at one time, it's easier to get a high price then. Try to sell in world 1,3 or 4. Say something like this: "Selling 1k coal ores 180k/your name!". 180 for each coal ore is recommend as a price in 1k bulks, and 190 for each coal ore is for about bulks of 5k and 200 for each coal ore (Which I wouldn't recommend to sell for, because very few people buys at that price) is for 10k+ bulks of coal ore. This is just a little example of what you can do to merchant. There is alot of other examples of things to merchant.
