Constuctive Critiscism would be nice, I am currently using GIMP for all of my projects.

 

 

 

Yes I am lacking in the details, but just give me an idea of how I am doing.

first: definently the better of the two. Not sure how you did the bg..

 

The render doesn't look blended enough

 

 

 

 

 

second: incredibly simple...you just pasted a render and did some stars

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Not really bad but not very good either...

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I will definently be doing more. I need to work out how to blend images into the background.

 

 

 

The background was done with a few custom brushes, and the color balance tool.

 

 

 

I will learn how to blend, and get back to you on it.

so looks like you gave up pixeling? ok here goes my cc here...

 

the first one could have been blended better and the yellow background doesnt really fit, make it more like green or another dark color. and the font doesnt fit. lookup in dafont theres a whole section dedicated to military fonts

 

 

 

i wont give cc about the second cause japanese manga and anime and all that stuff look like [bleep] to me :D

Yeah, the Anime was a spur of the moment decision. I need to find a good Tutorial on blending images with the background. I only got GIMP two days ago 8-)

scriptfu - decor - add border - 1 pixle 1 pixle ( can use two pixle for thicker but not higher) and then not that stock blue use black

I like it, may I suggest going to DaFont.com and downloading the Halo font, after that you have to extract it into "C:\\Windows\Fonts".

 

 

 

I don't really like the current background you have, its to bright compared to the Chief IMO. Mabey use a mixture of the first and current backgrounds and make it a little darker.

i pointed too about a dark background but it wasnt too clear. almost all good render sigs ive seen have dark backs because it stresses the render. the important stuff should be brighter than the background-

 

 

 

and you havent change the font although 2 people pointed at
