Does mage bonus at barrows matter?

Featured Replies

One question I think as I do Barrows is whether the mage bonus matters. I use full veracs + Slayer dart. But then again, should I use ahrims + slayer dart? Im looking for speed and effectiveness.

One thing I heard is that slayer dart hits the same if you wear rune or ahrims. True?

Thanks!

Well most people say that slayer dart isnt effected by mage bonus, but i have a theory that it does effect it, just not as much as other spells, its more based on your level then anything else. Also the barrows brothers have very bad magic defence (well not ahrim...) so your bad magic bonus gets balenced out by horrible defence.

Oh, I see. So what would be best to use, Guthans and Slayer Dart or Veracs and Salyer Dart?

People only think slayer dart is special or whatever because the barrow brothers have horrible magic defense. But in fact, it's the SAME as every other spell. Magic bonus will effect it.

As for whether if it's worth taking Ahrims, just find out yourself by doing one or two runs and timing them.
