Google90
I was sick on Friday through Sunday, and whenever Im sick, im usually laying down. So I start to bite my toungue[its a bad habit that goes back to when I was a kid]. But this time, Ive been nibbling on it so much, that it stings to eat anything. I have four locations on where I bit my tongue, and they are about 2 millimeters in diameter :-k . I havent been biting it since sunday, but my tongue is healing really slowly. They are much worse than accidental tongue bites when you are eating. How long do you think until my tongue heals? Should I go see a doctor? Bubsa
I'll hazard a guess at this (not a doctor, suprisingly!), but because you tongue is constantly in use, producing salliva, eating and so on, and being as sensitive as it is, that's probably why it's taking a while to heal. I don't think it would be anything worse than cuts, maybe ulcers, but if it's giving you a bit of distress, either physically or worrying, it can't hurt to visit a doc. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
indy500fan
You are probably OK. Do you ever drink really hot tea? Sometimes your tongue will still feel bad two days afterwards, but it heals itself.
