I'm considering training smithing with iron with a minimal loss if any.

 

 

 

Should I make iron heads, arrows, or darts?

 

 

 

Each iron bar makes 15 iron heads (and thus arrows) or 10 darts.

 

 

 

Each dart requires 0.1 iron bars, one feather, but seem to have lower demand (buying iron bars at 250 each and buying feathers from fishing shops won't cause a loss). Each arrow requires 0.06666 iron bars, but they also need an arrow shaft in addition to the feathers. This will take longer, but there seems to be more demand for arrows.

 

 

 

Which should I make?

Well darts do need feathers, does that help?

you can sell knives for 40 ea thus makin a profit.

Each bar only makes five knives, though. At 250 a bar, that's actually a 50 gp loss.

oh thought they made 10...and why would you buy for 250 and miss out on the xp for smelting.

 

 

 

of course i use gold gauntlets and smelt gold which is amazing xp.

buy iron ore

 

wear ring of forging

 

smelt iron

 

and make iron knives.....
