"403 Forbidden"?

Featured Replies

That happened while i tried to enter rs, how do i correct it? If I'm not wrong, this message means my ip is banned from the site? How do i change my ip? Does resetting router/modem works?

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

Your ip is banned? You were either were unlucky to share an IP address of some serious rule breaker or you know the reason. Resetting router won't help unless your ISP gives you a different IP adress each time you turn your computer on. Proxies would be fine but you will lag a lot.

On the other hand 403 forbidden error could be because your parents/brother/sister blocked the website address. You can unblock it in the router/firewall settings.

Not likely since i had been using it for past few hours and it was working fine just now..

Did you leave it for maximum 2 minutes or you were always using it? Do you have multiple computers which are connected to your network ? With a bit of practice you can easily do quite a few tricks in a couple of seconds. Taking a screenshot, setting it as wallpaper and hiding real desktop icons is my personal favorite. Leaves the person confused for hours.

Yes i have been always using, my siblings are still asleep so doubt they would be the culprit. There's another computer in my house that shares this network but it is not in use.

403 is a server error code that means you don't have permission to access the resource you requested. What was the exact URL you were trying to reach.

What could be the possible causes that result in this? How do i access it again?

Basically web servers have a series of codes that they return for specific errors... 404 = couldn't find the page you were looking for, 403 = while I found the page you asked for, I'm not allowed to give it to you.

The reasons could be that you requested a restricted page, that you lack sufficient user rights to access the page.

My guess is you tried to access runescape through an old direct link rather than through the main http://www.runescape.com page. Which is why I asked what the exact URL you tried to access was.

i'm glad i'm not alone. i have been getting this 403 message occasionally in recent days and it annoys me because without runescape i'm BORED TO DEATH.

and i always go directly to the main website http://www.runescape.com and the message appears anyway. my network is shared between my computer and a laptop which my bro and dad uses. they don't play runescape. however when i used the laptop to access runescape the message did not appear. i'm am confused. did i get banned for killing too many mossies? lol.
