unknownmasterofnothing
Well these are the laptops near me in stores I can get, since my previous one is messed up severely. I'm not sure which is better in graphics card or processor. Which would be best for online gaming. Also for having a lot of programs open, which I think is memory and processing speed. Option 1: HP AMD turion 64x2 dual core mobile technology tl-52 1024mb ddr2 memory 120gb HD nVIDIA Geforce Go 6150 17" brightview hd widescreen $899.99 Option2: Gateway Intel centrino duo mobile technology Intel core 2 duo processor t5200 2048 MB ddr2 160GB hd Intel pro/wireless LAN 802.11g 8-cell lithium ion battery option 3: HP pavilion AMD Turion 64 Mobile technology TL-52 17" widescreen display 1 gb ram 120gb HD Vista home premium $899.98 option4: Factory refurbished HP Pavilion dv9009nr AMD turion 64 x2 dual-core mobile technology TL-52 1.6Ghz 17" LCD 2048MB 160 GB HD 802.11b/g WLAN XP media center ed. nVidia Go 6150 $799.99 Well If you can help me find me a decent laptop around $900: hard drive space doesn't matter much, since I have a external hd, using it for gaming/hw, 17 inch screen, 2gb memory, good graphics card. blade995
I would say option 2. It has a core 2 duo and 2gb of ram, you can't too much better than that. Although it doesn't say what the graphics card is. Which means if it isn't listed, it's probably bad.

The only reason I would disagree with that is because I like the single core processors better, because a lot of games still don't support dual-core's... On a totally diffrent note... http://www.alienware.com/product_detail ... KU-DEFAULT I'd get that lol.

Now almost every new game supports them. Even if the game didn't, one core of a core 2 duo would still be faster than an AMD single core.

highlanders
Most options, you don't say what's the processor power nor the graphics card. Get that info... 2480+ total

Brandon_7
Option 2 seems best for you but option 4 isn't too bad either. :-w
das1330
option 2 is the best there, but it does not have a graphics card which will drive you crazy, as it will not support many games. No matter what, if you want to play any new games at all, DO NOT GET INTAGRATED GRAPHICS. Having said that, option 1 would be your best, but not nearly as good as 2 with a graphics card in it.
