April 17, 200719 yr Ok, when I log in, straight after it says 'Welcome, Loading you personal settings' this error message pops up. Nothing else loads except for the desktop backgound. I don't know what it is and it happens to all users on the computer. After I click OK or close it, everything goes to normal and it loads the icons on the desktop and the icons in the notification area. Please help if you can.
April 17, 200719 yr It's the remains of some malware.....It should be in one of your start-up registration entries. Look at Msconfig and see if you can find it and disable it. Should be just an orphaned entry. Woops I've overlooked your thread... I'll post back into that other thread in a few hours....
April 17, 200719 yr Author Ok, ummmm, where's Msconfig. Edit: If you were talking about going to run and typing msconfig I just tried that and clicked on find and couldn't find the thing.
April 23, 200719 yr Author Ok, is it the RUNDLL32 thing? Because that seems to be the only thing that looks the same as the error message.
April 23, 200719 yr I would just run CCleaner and scan for issues. It will get rid of any old/unused start-up junk. Although using msconfig will work just as well.
