When you inspect a hole, which is the start, there will be footprints leading out, follow the trail till the end of the prints, and search the doodads near that area, more footprints will be revealed if you hit the right one. Continue and eventually you will find a bush where "you think the animal may be hiding", then that is the right one.

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.
