Where is the menu that I can choose what programs open up on start up?

Go to start> Run> type in "msconfig" (no quotes) and then go to the startup tab.

There are other places that determine what starts up too. There's also several places in the registry that startup items can be listed, and there's the start > programs > startup folder. As far as I'm aware, things can appear in the registry startup areas that don't appear in MSConfig - at least in my experience.

It's called Autoruns and it looks at pretty much any location you can think of that can cause things to run on startup.
