May 6, 200719 yr Ok.. My PSP wont connect to the internet. It will find the router and connect. It can obtain the IP adress, and then it just stops and stays loading forever. For instance. I left it loading google for 20 minutes and it still hadnt done it. My wii refuses to connect. Even though it picks up the access point every time i search. And i put the correct WEP key in. Both of my computers are running the internet stupidly slowly. Speedtest.net showed that my PC has taken a 300ms nosedive in ping, a 6mbps nosedive in DL speed and a 500kbps drop in upload speed since i last tested..which was about a week ago. Is this a problem with the router?
May 6, 200719 yr It very well could be a router problem. Turn on a software firewall, plug one of your machines directly into your modem and run the speed test from there. If you get your normal speeds, there is a good chance it is your router. If you are still getting degraded speeds without the router, you may want to call your ISP to find out if there are any problems beyond your home network.

I am already running a software firewall as well. I really hope its not an ISP problem, i hate it when i cant use my internet properly for whatever reason and i cant fix it.
May 7, 200719 yr Author Now its getting really bad.. I cant play WoW or any other game which requires a decent constant speed connection, the speed and connection are fluctuating wildly and i cant get a steady connection to a server for more than a few minutes
