Moving topics.

Recommended Posts

It's been a while, but if I recall correctly, according to the rules set down by Tip It regarding moderator actions on this board, you must state in a post the action of which you are taking, and a reason why in a polite manner, which is to inform the OP (Original Poster).

But more and more recently I've been getting a few topics moved here and there with no post as to WHO moved it, and WHY it was moved. Some moves are obvious as to WHY, but still, it's nice to have a post informing you of who and why your post was moved. And this is especially helpful if you should need to PM that mod about the actions taken.

I would like to suggest and ask that this rule of stating WHO and WHY when taking action as a moderator be better enforced.

Thank you.

*Edit*

Apparently someone has alerted me of this, and I stand corrected.

That's how it used to be for me too. But lately I've been seeing moved topics with no post from the mod.

If the post isn't already active, ie. there is a discussion going on, I'll just PM the OP about why I was moving it and where to.

Wouldn't it be just as easy if you posted the reason on the thread and everyone knew? Just curious...I don't find it a big deal either way.
