Wireless network WEP key (for Xbox Live)

Featured Replies

Recently, I had to send in my Xbox to be fixed and I got it back yesterday. I tried to reconnect to Xbox Live using my wireless adapter that I have, but it said I needed to apply an update. It started updating but then about halfway through it failed for some reason.

According to the person I called at the help center there was a big update that everyone was trying to download and it was overloading the server and I should either wait it out for a week, or bring it downstairs to try to connect directly. Apparently, I must have unplugged something I shouldn't have and now my Xbox can't connect to the Wireless network at all. I think I need to put in the WEP key and DNS but I have no idea where to find these. Can anyone help me? or should I just call geek squad again?

PS: If it helps, my dad's laptop can still connect to the wireless network, is it possible it has the settings I need?

Ask your dad what the WEP password he set is. (for the router)
