A really strange audio problem

Basically, music on things like RS, and the default sounds of windows work just fine.

 

 

 

When I try and play music files through both WMP and Sonicstage I get nothing but a "there is an issue with your sound device".

 

 

 

I go into sound/audio on control panel, and it says I have no audio device, yet other sounds work just fine.

 

 

 

Thanks in advance for any help, need anything else just post here.

Reinstall or install updated sound drivers.
