If you're able to, grab a few extra pairs of Ice Gloves. You can't trade them but having extras means you can keep your bank organized. Also, you can use your Ice Gloves in Desert Treasure and while fighting fire based monsters.

Although I haven't done any thorough research into the various fire based monsters, the Ice Gloves generally will allow you to wear/equip a weapon in your hands.

If you're close to lvl-49 Mining, you might as well spend some time to train so that all you'll need is a regular pint of Dwarven Stout. If you've completed Fishing Contest, then you can load up on free Dwarven Stouts from the passage beneath White Wolf Mountain. It beats the randomness of Evil Dave's spices.

Good luck and happy 'Scaping!
