I am thinking of doing dream mentor quest using only ranged through the whole fight and have a few questions:

 

 

 

1) When fighting the lv 343 monster, does he only use melee/magic attacks? If so, which type of attack should I be letting him hit me?

 

2) Is k xbow the best bow usable for the quest? If so, estimate the total amount of bolt racks i need?

 

3) Any melee bonus equipment I should wear in place of some ranged attack bonus?

 

EDIT: 4) Should I wear black vambs or barrows gloves?

He uses melee/magic let him hit you with melee

 

 

 

Edit: looking at your range, you should range him for sure, xbow is good, maybe some rune boots and barrows gloves.
