Keiphus
Just get alot of reference and look at what you see... Right now the shading is decent but you need to define the petals so we can tell what it is more easily. And don't ask what I'm doing up at 4am. tttia
Biggest thing to do right now....up the contrast slightly. that light shading you did will pop out more. THen see what you have from there. Looks pretty decent so far, but most when trying to get it smooth don't use dark enough tones or enough contrast. So upping it in the program helps. Also the white background washes it out. Try putting a darker color back there (which I am sure you would soon anyway) and you will see those details come out. Edit...as it turns out, I upped the contrast, and it could still use some more definition. Don't be afraid to use really dark tones deep in those folds. And just a hint, I like to set my color pallete to HSB...hue saturation brightness, so that when I go to pick shading colors, I just slide the thing up slightly and have a darker color.
