May 28, 200719 yr When ever I watch a movie or video footage in WMP, It jutters. The audio is fine, But the visual will freeze every second on and off. CPU useage always jumps to 95-100% when using WMP. What can I do? My dA account..retired, as of the 1st January 2008.
May 28, 200719 yr First, you can start by writing a readable subject line. Second, what hardware and OS are you using? Do you have proper video drivers installed? Does this happen in other media players?
May 28, 200719 yr Are you trying to view videos that you downloaded, or videos on the internet? If it's on your computer, try using Winamp. It's better than WMP. I get the same thing (on the internet) sometimes with WMP being jittery. It only happens on certain sites though. :-k
May 28, 200719 yr Author It's a DVD that I play. Things of the internet seem to be fine. It doesn't happen in other media players, But it's never seemed to happen before. My dA account..retired, as of the 1st January 2008.
May 28, 200719 yr I assume you are using Windows XP; please correct me if I am wrong. Please download the Windows XP Video Decoder Checkup Utility from MicroSoft at this link and install it. You can use that to change your default decoder. Try a few different ones and see if you find better performance.
