June 4, 200719 yr Author I think I'm the first to say that I know exactly what you mean. The taste he's trying to describe is the bitter sort of carrotty nastyness... I think he's got it. Don't know about celery or sweet potato though, but I thought it was a slightly bitter aftertaste on the back of the tongue, not very strong at all. And warri0r, thanks, that link does confirm that they both contain the pigment beta carotene, but it doesn't mention if it has any flavour at all. I'll to find out. To the google-mobile!
