I've downloaded some brush, now how do I get to use them?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And, How do I delete the background of a picture so I can paste it onto another picture and not have its background intrupting.

heh alrighty... brushes are on the brush tool, looks like a paintbrush on the vertical table on the left of the screen. ok, what you're talking about here is cropping. What you usually have to do is unlock the layer by double clicking on it in the layers palette, then use a tool like the magic wand (also on that vertical table on left) to select the background you want deleted... then hit the 'delete' button.

Choose the 'Brush Tool' -> click on the window where you can change what type of brush you want to use (under the sub-menu), then click on the little arrow-point (|>), then choose "Add Brush" or something like that -> browse for the brush.

Layer -> Extract. Choose a 5px brush, zoom in a lot, then start to "draw around" (like on outline) whatever you want to be left of the image. Click the 'Bucket Tool' -> click inside the selected area. Press OK.
